  1. I love listening to Frank Reich talk. You can definitely tell that he used to be a pastor. And I love that he closes with a classic Marv Levy quote!
  2. I don’t think anyone decided on any narrative. They were 100% booing him even if you can’t hear it great in that 1 video. Lots of people there have said they were booing. Luck himself said they were booing him and it hurt. There are other videos where you can hear it better. It definitely happened.
  3. Man, what could have been with Luck... He started out his career looking like the next great QB. It’s a shame things didn’t work out differently. I feel like the Colts kind of ruined him. They put little talent around him for years. He took huge beatings behind that o line and sustained numerous injuries. The Colts more/less had him play with a bad shoulder until it was just torn to shreds. And the whole process made Luck kind of just check out mentally. I’m not saying Luck is blameless or anything, though. Id say that I feel bad for Colts fans (and I do, a bit), but they went from Peyton Manning right to Andrew Luck so there are a lot of Colts fans who don’t really know what it’s like not to have a great QB (even if luck’s career was derailed by injury).
  4. Sorry for your loss. It’s tough losing a close friend (pet). I went through something similar with my 2 dogs in recent years. Lost one to cancer and the other to old age within a year of each other. I said that that I was going to take a break from owning dogs after we lost the last one. I made it 2 weeks. Went to the SPCA to “just look” and came home with a new dog. The house was just way too empty without any dogs. I couldn’t do it. I felt a bit guilty about replacing my dog so quickly but I am so glad I got a new dog. It really helps fill that hole in your heart and gives you something else to focus on besides missing your dog. Again, I am sorry for your loss.
  5. https://buffalonews.com/2019/08/24/buffalo-sabres-casey-mittelstadt-erik-rasmussen-map-south-hockey-nhl-news-2019/ Glad to hear he’s taking his training serious. We need him to take a nice step forward this season, especially with the way the roster is currently constructed at forward.
  6. And Dahlin has only been a defenseman since age 14. Crazy
  7. MUCh better drive by the offense there. Allen looked good, the run game looked good. O line looked good. Just end the night (for the 1st stringthere! lol
  8. McKenzie! Love that play call by Daboll, too.
  9. Im trying hard not to get to worked up or worried about how absolutely awful Allen looks. I keep telling myself “it’s only preseason”, but it’s hard not to be at least a little worried when Allen looks THIS BAD.
  10. Run defense looks good so far.
  11. I don’t know if it’s nerves or the offense is just out of sync or what, but Allen needs to settle in here. Not a great start but I’m not panicking by any means.
  12. Yeah. Carter isn’t playing tonight (injury? Not sure) so it’ll be Bojo the whole game.
  13. We need a new *&$#&&* punter!
  14. ?? https://sports.yahoo.com/sabres-dahlin-tells-ap-hes-better-prepared-2nd-220705978--nhl.html Good stuff @john wawrow
  15. I like this quote by Barkley - And this one by Dion - One more from Beasley - The quote from Jerry Hughes is great, too. I’d post it but it’s super long and I already posted 3 quotes (maybe someone else can post it?). His quote is similar to Dion’s. He basically lists the whole team and says everyone as a whole has stood out. Everyone is balling and putting the work in. Says Beane + the scouts did an excellent job bringing in talent. Hughes has really seemed to step up and embrace a leadership role this year. Darryl Johnson lists Hughes as the guy who’s helped him most.
  16. Hope he is ok and it’s nothing serious. If it is is something serious, at least he has access to the very best medical care.
