Man, what could have been with Luck... He started out his career looking like the next great QB. It’s a shame things didn’t work out differently. I feel like the Colts kind of ruined him. They put little talent around him for years. He took huge beatings behind that o line and sustained numerous injuries. The Colts more/less had him play with a bad shoulder until it was just torn to shreds. And the whole process made Luck kind of just check out mentally. I’m not saying Luck is blameless or anything, though. Id say that I feel bad for Colts fans (and I do, a bit), but they went from Peyton Manning right to Andrew Luck so there are a lot of Colts fans who don’t really know what it’s like not to have a great QB (even if luck’s career was derailed by injury).

Sorry for your loss. It’s tough losing a close friend (pet). I went through something similar with my 2 dogs in recent years. Lost one to cancer and the other to old age within a year of each other. I said that that I was going to take a break from owning dogs after we lost the last one. I made it 2 weeks. Went to the SPCA to “just look” and came home with a new dog. The house was just way too empty without any dogs. I couldn’t do it. I felt a bit guilty about replacing my dog so quickly but I am so glad I got a new dog. It really helps fill that hole in your heart and gives you something else to focus on besides missing your dog. Again, I am sorry for your loss.

Im trying hard not to get to worked up or worried about how absolutely awful Allen looks. I keep telling myself “it’s only preseason”, but it’s hard not to be at least a little worried when Allen looks THIS BAD. -

I don’t know if it’s nerves or the offense is just out of sync or what, but Allen needs to settle in here. Not a great start but I’m not panicking by any means. -

Yeah. Carter isn’t playing tonight (injury? Not sure) so it’ll be Bojo the whole game. -

We need a new *&$#&&* punter! -
I like this quote by Barkley - And this one by Dion - One more from Beasley - The quote from Jerry Hughes is great, too. I’d post it but it’s super long and I already posted 3 quotes (maybe someone else can post it?). His quote is similar to Dion’s. He basically lists the whole team and says everyone as a whole has stood out. Everyone is balling and putting the work in. Says Beane + the scouts did an excellent job bringing in talent. Hughes has really seemed to step up and embrace a leadership role this year. Darryl Johnson lists Hughes as the guy who’s helped him most.

Cowboys Sign Jaylon Smith to HUGE Extension

That a Heck of a payday after only playing 22 games in the NFL. But he is a great player. It makes that Mosley deal look even worse! I am Glad that, so far, the Mosley deal didn’t reset the LB market at least. I’d take Jaylon Smith over Mosley any day, and that’s before you factor in that Smith is at a $12.6M cap hit vs. Mosley at $17M. Crazy. -
I think it has more to do with their pre-draft analysis of Allen. Article after article was written saying that he would never be a good NFL QB. That nobody with his college stats has ever made it in the NFL and if he did make it he would be the biggest statistical outlier of all times (or something along those lines, I can’t remember exactly). Some said he’d be a great test for old school scouting vs. new school analytics (etc). So they aren’t going down without a fight (and to be fair, Allen still has plenty to prove)
