This better not be overturned. Unless they have an overhead camera angle of this play, there is really no way you can definitively say that he was out of bounds. -

Crazy drive. Just wish it ended in a TD! -
No big shockers (yet). A bit surprised Ruotsalainen and CJ Smith were “sent down” with the first round of cuts. I wonder if CJ Smith is upset. I remember a recent interview where he said he was excited because the Sabres told him he would be given a legit chance at making the roster. Not saying he wasn’t given a legit chance or anything, and I always viewed him as a long shot to make the team out of camp. Just a bit surprised he wasn’t one of the later cuts (even just to appease him). They must view him as a core Rochester guy, since Amerks camp starts tomorrow.

Interesting. https://www.nhltraderumors.me/2019/09/rumor-buffalo-sends-mega-offer-to.html?m=1 Not sure how legit the source is, but it’s an interesting thought. Not gonna lie, trading even one 1st would scare me with where we’ve been drafting. Trading two would scare the crap out of me. I would hope like hell there is at least top 3 protection on them. The next draft, especially at the top, looks like it could be amazing. I love Laine, but there are a lot of times where if he’s not scoring, he’s not really contributing much of anything. I expect his game to grow though, and he could be one of the most elite goal scorers in the NHL. But there is obvious risk in trading two #1’s when we’ve drafted top 10 for what, 7 or 8 years in a row? Seems like one 1st should be enough with our draft position history in recent years. That’s a lottery ticket for Winnipeg.

Ristolainen and Johansson are making their preseason debuts tonight. The game will be on TV (MSG channel) at 7pm tonight. Im looking forward to seeing if this lineup can match the effort of last night’s lineup. I enjoyed last night’s game a lot more than I thought I would. I was really impressed with the effort and aggressive style of play. Frederik Andersen stood on his head otherwise the score would have looked different.

What, no celebratory video this time? No running around yelling you’re free? No call to grandma to brag? ?

So, did we sign another Charles Clay or what? I feel bad bad for the guy. This is a terrible way to start with a new team. I’m sure he’s more upset about this than anyone. Thankfully Dawson Knox is playing well.

There is no need to tank in the NFL. It’s not like the NHL or NBA where you can only get the most elite, franchise changing players with the top 2 picks in the draft. NFL Teams have found their QBs in every round of the draft. Sure, tanking for a top pick may give you a better chance at landing that franchise guy, but it’s still disgraceful to do it by tanking so blatantly.

Over 90% of Bengals Fans Predicting a Bills Win
BillsFan4 replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’ve noticed a lot of their comments over on the Athletic are all negative toward the Bengals. They actually remind me a lot of Sabres fans after a bad loss. They’re just sick of the constant ? I’m not sleeping on Cincy though. I’m not confident enough in the Bills yet to sleep on any team. I don’t think the Bengals are as bad as they showed on Sunday. That game got out of hand quick. Kyle Shanahan schemed it perfectly and found some big holes in the Bengals D. Then they sort of just ran the same handful of plays over and over because Cincy couldn’t stop it. I don’t see that happening again this week. I’m sure they’ll work to fix it. Plus they're going to be hungry to bounce bounce back after being embarrassed. Im still hopeful for a Bills win and will be disappointed if they lose. This is definitely a winnable game. But I don’t expect it to be nearly as easy as that 49ers win. -
So it looks like Buff is considering retirement after all. I kind of figured he was after the comments from the coach and GM. If Buff retires, Winnipeg will have lost 4 of its top 6 defenseman from last season and all 3 of their top 6 right handed defenseman. That is pretty much unheard of. They basically went from contenders to a rebuilding team in one offseason. Chevy is a patient GM and took years to build up that team, but their window is open now and their core is aging. I’ll be surprised if he’s as patient in trying to rebuild his blue line. Plus he’s been on the job a long time now, it’s time for some real results I’d think. So... hopefully this makes him that much more desperate to trade for someone like Ristolainen. They need someone to eat those minutes and that’s one thing Risto can do (even if not that capably...).

Well, that was a pretty ugly 2nd preseason game. They looked like crap in the 1st, a little better in the 2nd and not very good in the 3rd (though I paid less attention in the 3rd, so I can’t really give an accurate description). Very disorganized overall. That PP to start the 2nd (iirc) was particularly awful. They had absolutely no clue what they were doing or where they were supposed to be on that PP. Paul Hamilton wasn’t a fan of that game either- https://wgr550.radio.com/articles/opinion/one-bad-preseason-game-doesnt-make-or-break-player But as he said, it was only 1 preseason game. Can’t read too much into it. But it certainly wasn’t the start I was hoping for from Mittelstadt and others.
