  1. I already deleted that because that was a mistake.. I thought it was an inside dig but it was from the slot My point stands he is able to beat press coverage with his release if you look at the film There's enough snaps from the outside over 3 years to see he does not get pressed jammed at the line Whether you get the ball or not on any given play isn't as important on if you do your job and beat your individual person... 100% he's better from the slot But you could still throw him outside some 30% of the time and get some results
  2. I've watched a lot of his outside snaps over 3 years and he consistently beats press coverage with his release There's a lot of moving pieces to an NFL pass play... Just cuz you beat the release and get open doesn't mean you get the ball every time He certainly has shown the ability to beat outside press coverage when given the chance... He has a very crisp and versatile release game
  3. Joe cribs Oklahoma
  4. Even somebody who could take 25-35 percentage snaps outside and win Which if you look when Shakirs on the outside he has a consistent release with burst to beat outside press That's still more than enough to be versatile.. and he could bump up percentage wise outside a little.. I don't think you want him outside more than 40%
  5. Obviously it's not as impactful as a big third down sack in a close game And the effort level probably is not as high across the board But in one of his first snaps he still split in NFL left tackle and strip sacked a guy who has started 30 plus games in the NFL
  6. You are correct it was Mac not Trevor But that still doesn't take away the fact that all 22 guys on the field are getting paid a lot of money to do their job And how you play in a blowout in the last 10 minutes... Could be the difference between a team bringing you back and not bringing you back because of the kind of body language and effort you display especially on the losing side NFL teams want guys who never stop trying hard no matter what because a lot of money on the line
  7. The depth of the route you ran... And how you are being used is a big factor to yards per Target He was a mid field stretcher last year... Running routes 12 15 18 yd downfield This year he's running routes closer to the line of scrimmage.. he's running shorter ins and screens and hitches which will pull that average down
  8. No, Douglas is 30 If he doesn't want a team friendly deal which is fine.. you only get one chance to chase the bag You let him walk and receive a compensation pic after the season is over We have two cornerbacks playing at literally a top 10 level.. you can't discard one of those just for the sake of he won't be back next year
  9. There is no garbage time to NFL players.. you think Ray Davis touchdown counts any less because the game was already decided? To backups and young players and guys trying to make a name there is no garbage time.. tell Ray Davis his touchdown doesn't count because it was garbage time
  10. Turf toe is a very lingering injury that just doesn't go away easily Deion Sanders had severe turf toe which led to other complications and he had to amputate his big toe
  11. The Bills play a lot of cover one man on third down especially over last 2 years
  12. I didn't use the word force feed in a negative.. in his career he has always gotten the ball to a couple of majority targets.. not saying he's forcing the ball to unopened guys The Chiefs game plans always have some guy getting almost 8-10 targets.. 8-10 targets in an NFL game is forcing the ball to somebody in technical terms Every NFL team has five or six wide receiver three running backs and two or three tight ends.. you can scheme up pass plays for 12 people Diggs getting 10 targets game was force feeding him Our top two guys targets wise have 14 and 12 targets over three games.. rice has 29... That's a lot of targets.. even if you're good Josh Allen has shown he could throw the ball 10 times a game to one person he's choosing not to Shakir is really close physically to amon ra st. Brown , a little lighter but he's faster and both tough runners
  13. You act like the Kansas City Chiefs are going to win 15 straight super bowls LOL doesn't work that way It's the NFL and the bills are absolutely the next team up... The Chiefs are about to be playing catch up to the Buffalo Bills We are above them right now as a football team and the play on the field shows it.. thinking your past success will always guarantee future success is a great way to never have anymore
  14. Bills by a billion Bills 1 billion Ravens 0
  15. He certainly does deserve a new deal since he massively outplayed his draft stock and salary Hopefully he's smart enough to take A team friendly deal knowing his long-term future is best in Buffalo's defensive scheme
  16. " I told you the headband was stupid"
  17. That Eastern hills Mall duffs definitely does have solid Pizza
  18. Because being a Bills fan requires a certain level of masochism 🤷‍♂️
  19. Hope you enjoyed the game and the city! You and your son must have brought some extra spark to the Ralph on Monday night.. cuz the Bills beat the jaguars like they owed them money They beat them like a redheaded stepchild lol
  20. The early rounds are typically consistent of great athletes who are usually good football players.. The late rounds typically consist of good football players who are not the highest NFL caliber athlete It just shows you that drafting is not an exact science and it's never been... Over 30% of the league is undrafted free agents You're always trying to weigh Big Time athlete versus the football player in them.. when you can get a football player of Josh's caliber with the athlete of his caliber you're changing franchises Kaiir was a really good athlete, with solid production at a high conference that made them think he will be coachable... His football skills were lower than they thought... Benford came in with good football skills but the talent level he played left questions About his NFL athleticism since he wasn't being tested by NFL wide receivers People think a 4.55 is slow nowadays.. but that's actually almost 20 miles an hour sprinting... Some people reach that speed quicker than others... Somebody who reaches it in the first 20 yards runs a 4.4 or faster Somebody who it takes 30 yards runs a 4.5 But both are actually really fast on a condensed football field when there's 22 people and game plans involved.. Benford might not run a 4.3 like Elam... But he plays with the correct leverage and technique and football smarts with absolutely enough speed
  21. Being pro team almost sounds like being anti-diggs But I've been in a lot of locker rooms and when you're in a room with 65 guys... The standard talk is typically about how it's a team mentality The bills have preached that for years.. it just sounds like it's anti-diggs because he's gone now and they're talking about everybody eating They've wanted everybody to eat for years
  22. Well when you are almost being forced into designing 8+ plays per game for one person , sometimes 10+... It literally takes efficiency away from the offense Think of it like an engine that needs to be well oiled to stay functionable... Forcing it to one person over and over again when other professionals are getting paid to stop him is like clogging your engine with sludge Josh being able to spread it out over 8 9 guys every game and not worry about forcing it to one guy is like a beautiful engine with fully synthetic oil No friction there baby
  23. Josh is the king of Buffalo It's his city
  24. This year? After tearing an Achilles? And ACL prior? He would definitely be behind benford and Douglas on the outside In the right scheme he could be a rotational guy for maybe 1-2 more years but he can't run across the field in man anymore and lost his burst which made him an all pro because he had the best closing speed in football That's all gone
