Who's the Emotional Leader on the Bills ??
Buffalo716 replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall
A one-man team with poor coaching would not have our record over the last 5 or 6 years lol Joe burrow is a tremendous quarterback and has missed the playoffs multiple times because the roster around him... Or the roster being so bad he can't survive the season Kurt Warner is a Hall of famer who has plenty of not great years with not great teams One player isn't winning 12 games in the NFL by himself -
Literally like 75% of this board was gushing over the prospect Justin field was And I was getting roasted because I said I did not see him being a long-term NFL starter And that Lawrence is a much much better prospect, who has had to survive another terrible organization

It’s time to have an uncomfortable conversation about Taron

He's at the end of his life as a slot corner 8 year starter basically playing as a hybrid 3rd linebacker in the nickel a bunch He just doesn't have the juice anymore.. that doesn't mean he can't make a couple of big plays down the stretch when the game gets condensed in January and February He also this is the perfect time to make that swap to free safety.. he still could get it done there for a couple years.. Johnson and bishop can maybe be something -
He's obviously very talented it doesn't mean he's going to play at this pace the rest of the year How you stack Good seasons on top of Good seasons before your 27 is how you develop... You can go down up back down.. or you can go down up up up

Well it's the mac doesn't surprise me that they are behind lol There is going to be an actual trophy since the Mac is about to be losing two next year because realignment with NIU
-
They do have a trophy that is going to be unveiled
-
Awesome pic and a win is a win! Did you know this is know an official MAC rivalry game with a trophy? Game #1 of flagship cup! And yes Victor Snow and Nik McMillan is a great MAC 1-2 receiving option Both WNY boys!
-
@PromoTheRobot Did you stay for the entire game??
-
Well they need a better 2nd half!
-
That is absolutely not true People like Steve spagnola who people on this board fawn over have a record of like 11-41 as a head coach.. he has nothing to build on as the guy in control of everything There is not one pure coordinator in the NFL Hall of Fame telling you what they think of coordinators who cannot get it done as head coaches AKA there's a lot more coordinators than people who could get it done as both Most coordinators cannot and do not become successful head coaches... To be a successful head coach you need to be able to juggle your own specialty while game planning for all sides of the ball.. manage the game day roster.. develop first through 7th round draft picks

The obsession with turning Josh Allen into a pocket QB
Buffalo716 replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
Patrick mahomes is like near the top of that list too and they've been scoring like 22 points per game the last two seasons The bills haven't average 22 points per game in a long time throughout an entire season -

Considering the Buffalo Bills offense has scored more than the genius Andy Reid for like three straight seasons... -

McDermott has put out multiple top 5 defenses here lol The fact people think it's been 8 years of crap is fantasy not fact He doesn't have the dogs on defense right now -
Did we already miss the window with Josh

Considering John elway didn't win a Superbowl till his penultimate season Aaron Rodgers and Brett favre gave the Packers 30 years of first bail Hall of Fame quarterbacking and they only have two super bowls to show No sometimes there is a lot of overreaction.. -
Svgp biggest problem at Georgia was he was a leaner into blocks... His footwork was inconsistent and so was his body control So you can get him off balance, and he gets sloppier Center as a position, is more of a mental position than physical now.. there are very few zero techniques who sit over the nose every play So your combination blocking, double teaming, getting to the second level... He had a 6'7 guard next to him who went to the NFL.. and a 6'6 guard on the other side who got drafted in the second round That's a lot of beef protecting a center especially in college where Georgia practices are usually tougher than the game.. sure he is talented.. he never cleaned up his sloppy footwork or his leaning because he didn't have to Kromer can fix that , he should be a solid center
-
It's because being a college offensive lineman and being an NFL lineman are completely different games Different styles of offenses , it's way more complex at the NFL level... Cyrus kounjojo was a multi-year starter at Alabama.. when they were a powerhouse When Alabama or Georgia are playing other teams there's typically a massive talent Gap.. so their linemen just win on physicality and size differential and just brute strength Everybody at the NFL level is very talented and strong.. which is why it takes a lineman who has not only the size but the technique.. that's the one thing svgp has been lacking since college, super refined technique... His lower feet and his upper half are not always in sync.. he was known to be a leaner at times at Georgia He definitely has some good traits but he needed to grow as a football player

Not as good as Alec Anderson I've been saying here for 2 years Anderson was always going to get the first crack at center if anything happened

Plausible X/#1 receiver trade candidates — are there any?
Buffalo716 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dude that's a ridiculous take and how Josh played last night no coach would have got anything out of him He was lost after the first drive -
Or the safeties we developed who played in our system for 7 years got old and left.. our All pro corner got older and injured and left.. our really good slot corner is now at the end of his career for a slot corner.. and we developed a six-round pick into our best corner We also let a former captain and middle linebacker walk who ended up getting like a 70 million deal in Chicago.. and replace them with a linebacker that this entire board said was terrible and then he turned into our captain That's a lot of development We need to cut bait of all the old people which stings.. and they need to get younger... Maxwell is absolutely going to step in and be our best corner when he plays
-
Maybe most of those guys have been overrated by the fan base recently And at the NFL level been used past their prime and not been given good enough replacement Johnson is like in his 8th year as a starting slot corner.. it doesn't matter his age his physicality he's basically done.. he's way way closer to the end than the beginning .. a safety change is what will prolong his career for 3 years And that was a fourth round pick he developed into a top slot corner Rapp certainly isn't worse than he was with the Rams.. McDermott has made everything he could out of this crazy-headed player who was once our best safety last year.. it doesn't matter if it's saying much or not at all but he was I get it we all would have liked him to turn Greg Russo into Julius peppers but that's not easy to do But the discount the top five and top 10 defenses he put out here and think he just completely lost it when he developed that.. maybe he's really not getting the dogs They always said it's that Jimmy's and Joe's at the end of the day
-
Realistically anybody.. if he has 4 defensive players in the draft.. he usually develops three .. like most teams don't develop fifth or sixth round picks into starters McDermott does He's not the judge jury and executioner like Bill belichick I think the quality of players being brought in by the GM is way more in question to how they are developed Sean McDermott developed Christian Benford into the point where we just paid him $70 million dollars but that's on the general manager
-
Considering he's gotten like 10 sacks out of Jordan Phillips, I get he likes a contained pocket but there's no way he's neutralizing Myles Garrett in my own opinion Simon
-
Sean McDermott wants miles Garrett he can't get him He could only get what fits within a salary cap and who Brandon Bean brings in Sean has maximized plenty of talents and never minimized a stud
