  1. Beane said he inquired lol that means he got a feeler.. not that he was super serious about giving up anything serious Why would he be good as our backup when San Francisco isn't even comfortable? If we tried trading for him I think we tried bringing him in as a three to start ... Because he certainly doesn't know enough to supplant the QBs here right away.. There's no way the bills were comfortable with him as the primary backup when he's been relegated to third string by his own franchise.. he's an enormous bust I think he would have started as the 3
  2. Van demark might be ready to compete for a starting job by then But I'd be drafting one early soon
  3. I think it's strictly by position If you're drafting an offensive linemen in the first three rounds you probably want to shoot for the most developed guy.. someone that you know can play If you're drafting a TE... I think it's perfectly fine to take a chance on a high upside guy like Knox with little production I think grades on a player are highly subjective... Because scheme fit and where you land also matters... Typically as a collegiate amateur with a good amount of snaps... Couple that with athletic testing grades... You can get a strong sense of their strengths and weaknesses and where they should fall in the draft But every amateur player getting drafted, has a lot of skill and can flourish in the right situation for the most part... Only a few are lost causes out the gate... Competing everyday at the highest level is a grind The NFL is 1% of the best college players in the world.. who became professionals...there are redeemable attributes for most
  4. And I certainly don't think Lance zerline is even a standard... But as far as pundits goes he's one of the more consistent over a decade So I was using him as an example of somebody that I knew really liked Tremaine Isn't that the crapshoot of the draft? Sometimes trying to calculate future potential with actual developed skills... I think Tremaine Edmunds is a good football player.. perhaps really good at times But the NFL also has a salary cap which I don't know if his contract is worth it We certainly drafted him based on physical traits and potential... He had good tape and I projected him that he could be an MLB But it was all projection
  5. I don't understand if you're trying to bash Dion or praise him But he's a lot better than most on this board think He's not a bottom 10 left tackle in the world
  6. He has a lot of traits.. and physical upside.. He was really raw because he didn't get coached up the best... He's a long-term project with high upside who's already been playing pretty well He can be a pretty good LT in a few years
  7. This is a Bills forum... Nobody cares if you predicted the bills to lose... You literally manufactured the bills to lose in the worst way possible... What people would call "billsy" Which is why I commented That's like saying Bills stands for boy I love losing super bowls... Which is the only joke I get in New England
  8. Edmunds was a consensus top 15 player in the draft NFL network's Lance zerline had him as a top five player He was not a second round pick that we reached on
  9. We were 13 and 3 last year... There wasn't a lot of inept football despite what people say... The NFL is always tough.. games are usually always tough The bills weren't lost... Decimated by injury, sure
  10. No 14 points in a half ... When your an AFC favorite would be a terrible loss. Josh Allen's also a Hall of Fame quarterback on our side You could have easily said the bills lose 27-24.... But you contrived a collapse You literally manufactured the bills collapsing Nobody cares if you just said bills lose 27-24... But you contrived a story to make us inept for a half lol Corey Davis doesn't even play football anymore
  11. I don't think McDermott has lost a game up 14 in last 4 years You just want to piss people off with your take.. Just say we lose if you think we do... Literally contrive a BS made up game with BS story lines just to make the bills collapse
  12. SU has class as a college ...
  13. Crazy.. went from consensus top 5 to flame out
  14. Purdy will be exposed
  15. Rather have Mike Vick visit then OJ Simpson 😵
  16. Well not locked in I am kinda leaning Navy +20.5 I also like under 44.5 Nebraska @ minnesota I have Oklahoma -33.5 vs Arkansas State That's what I'm putting my most money on *** thank God I was getting funny feelings about the ND game and didn't bet it... I was thinking the option could speed up the game and limit possessions
  17. RIP He was From the rotunda wrestling family... His Bray Wyatt character was phenomenal and he was definitely one of a kind
  18. I can run the wing t
  19. No I said I think it's a two or three year project as a inline blocker But he has the traits... Which is mostly effort and intensity Which could show up in some packages... He will never be the blocker dawson is
  20. Listen I'm not trying to say he's going to like the world on fire But with his effort and intensity he will do whatever job the Bill's ask him to do There's some tight ends in the league who don't have effort blocking... Those guys are lost causes.. he brings high effort and he's not afraid of contact which is promising That Alone will get some results... A 2-3-year project as a blocker but again... The effort will make it happen Because TEs blocking is all about effort
  21. Every single scout I've met that ever watched him live came away with a different opinion.. then the pregame norei Sucking means you can't do it... He will be able to block some people in the NFL There's a massive difference between sucking at something and being modest... Again he's not even the worst blocking tight end drafted Suck is a one out of 10 He even showed he could pass block some... Not that we're going to ask him to do that much But he did everything he was asked of... He didn't fail
  22. There's a reason why scouts put the word in there... They could easily say nuanced route runner ... But they add smooth or fluid because he moves well... It's a million times better than moving clunky No gloves nick o Leary... Opposite of smooth/fluid mover No coach wants somebody who runs like a robot... Being a fluid athlete is a bonus... At offensive tackle , WR or DB or TE There's a reason why that word has been in football vocabulary for a hundred years...replace smooth with fluid Everybody wants a fluid athlete on the football field
  23. Long answer, no.. especially of they keep elam for his contract Benford was obviously under drafted because Villanova.. he's like the 5th player drafted from there in 20 years Even if he was at University at Buffalo he probably would have been a top 4 rounder
  24. And obviously being smooth doesn't mean you're going to be a great football player .... But when you watch somebody who does everything so effortlessly... The way he moves, and breaks off a route .. his gait Smooth is a million times better than clunky
  25. When I was watching him in Utah... One word that kept crossing my mind was smooth lol And I wanted him
