  1. Think people are underestimating the talent on their roster they have a better defensive cast and better wide receivers than the Buffalo Bills.. the bills just have a better offensive line and James Cook .. getting Dalton Kincaid back is going to change the Buffalo Bills offense Not throwing the quarterback in there Sure they have cap space but that means they have to also get the right guys.. it doesn't always work out sometimes you pick the wrong ones I don't believe this is a 5 win talented team that Drake Maye is propping up.. jarod Mayo was severely over his head last year.. it is a good football team I watched Blake bortles throw for 4,000 yards and 35 touchdowns which would have been Buffalo Bills records at the time and he was a top pick who was big and strong and mobile.. the arrow's not always up for everyone when they have a great year... even if Drake Maye is fantastic and will probably be a really good quarterback.. doesn't mean he's guaranteed to be top three to become a top three All pro you're going to have to knock out the current all pros... Josh is knocking out 40 touchdowns a year and he still has people doubt him Odell Beckham was getting called the next Jerry Rice and he's not sniffing the Hall of Fame.. there's a lot of ebbs and flows to football even with a supremely talented guy like maye Even with Josh breaking NFL records left and right he still goes through Lulls... Drake Maye is going to experience the same How he bounces back will tell everything The way some people talk about him rn you would think he's a guaranteed four time first team All pro though
  2. Mac Jones threw for 3,800 yards as a rookie and like 68% completion Now obviously Maye has more physical talent I don't believe your offense is without weapons... you have better wide receivers than the Buffalo Bills .. you literally have guys running way more open than the bills have for 12 games I think Drake Maye is in a great system and is playing with a lot of confidence so he is looking very very good and is a really good quarterback I have just been coaching and playing an scouting long enough that I don't crown anybody after two seasons Patrick mahomes came out of the gate throwing 45-50 touchdowns and will never reach that high again.. he's actually regressed slightly Not always Straight arrow up.. but yes I think Drake Maye is very talented I got to watch him in high school I thought he had pro bowl plus potential.. but he had to clean up some things.. he had a little hitch in his delivery it was a little long Nobody doubted his ability to throw the football.. but it takes a lot more than just the ability to spin it to be a consistent top three or five quarterback in the NFL Nobody has really seen how he will bounce back in the NFL from rough stretches.. but he did have back-to-back rough games in the ACC where he did lose playing with his confidence and swagger against Clemson and North Carolina State .. how he bounces back in the NFL will show a lot
  3. Maye is very solid again But to think he's never going to go through a bad two or three game stretch in his career is literally not true They were nowhere near a playoff team last year they were not getting playoff caliber game plans.. and it's about to get ramped up to that time Every single quarterback whether it was Tom Brady Peyton Manning Aaron Rodgers or Josh Allen has gone through some lulls Every quarterback is going to hit a slump.. the difference is the all pros bounce back from that slump still at an all pro level while the vast majority do not People like Blake bortles threw 35 touchdowns and 4,000 yards before and never ever came close to that again and he was a number three overall pick with talent too maye is playing light out.. how he bounces back from a rough stretch will show a lot more about his decade-long ceiling He literally has faced very little adversity this year which if you watch football you should know that's not good coming into playoff time.. the bills have seen so much adversity that I'd be willing to bet we match up in the playoffs and Josh Allen will rise above Drake Maye because we're going to have a playoff game plan that he's never seen and adversity will hit He's definitely already put himself in the top 10 but that doesn't mean he's guaranteed to be a top three quarterback sure fire HoF The ebbs and flows to a player's career in the NFL are massive The way New England is playing a good amount of NFL quarterbacks would be looking good with them right now.. it's not like Drake May is taking a non-skilled team and propping them to 10-2.. they are very good and Bought in.. you have wide receivers running open you have solid running backs and a hard hitting defense it's a good team
  4. Kids definitely talented but let's not act like he's on Pace for 40 touchdowns He's solid.. NFL game plans have not caught up to them and the game planning gets better for the playoffs He's playing with a lot of confidence but people remember Jaden Daniels was considered a superstar rising last year and that fell really fast.. CJ Stroud was supposed to be the next big thing that fell fast Every quarterback is going to hit a slump how you bounce back from it tells a lot more
  5. Remember last year or two years ago when that family said a Bills fan knocked or pushed there girl over? It got tons of airplay on new stations everywhere And it was never verified from the Buffalo Bills.. or witnesses .. and the eye in the sky never caught it .. Buffalo News never did a story on it Because it probably was slightly fabricated Not saying the girl didn't fall down but a angry drunk Bills fan definitely wasn't shouting obscenities saying he's going to knock over 49er fans like they said just rampaging people The Buffalo News never ran with the story and the Buffalo Bills would be able to catch it with their eye in the sky Maybe this woman dropped the towel? Maybe someone did take it But she doesn't even remember it getting stolen so how could you even blame a Bills fan? What if it was a Steelers fan there without a terrible towel and wanted one Who knows
  6. "no I don't want smelling salts I want DMT dammit"
  7. That's true That's why college has a targeting rule on runners and there is technically no targeting rule in the NFL Though crown of the helmet still might be illegal.. offensive players cannot use it
  8. In my original post I said there was definitely 5+ division 1 football players on the field when I was talking about it with weo Whether FCS or FBS Iwould never say the football talent on the field for that game between both teams was mediocre I've seen them twice this year and I thought they were really good.. not top 25 National but still really good
  9. there's a distinction between the helmet contact which happens on every play versus using your helmet as a weapon in my eyes I don't think the NFL has a targeting penalty on ball carriers like college
  10. Of course it's not at the Texas or Georgia level But I wouldn't say it's bad football... I still scout HS ball in the mid Atlantic region from NY and PA to NJ and Delaware to Maryland and you will see a mixed bag from top 25 nationally to not great Don Bosco and Bergen are terrific in NJ .. but not all is that level 5A 6A Texas and Georgia ball , that just breeds a higher level competition.. Having more schools, smaller divisions does water down the competition a bit and spread out the talent Compared to super teams you see in Texas or Georgia but even Iona prep has put out a good amount of division 1 football players The last 5 years... That is a good football program .. there's a reason why they are number one in the state
  11. Have you ever watched C football in New York? That's not great high School football lol there actually are some solid C schools too Iona has a kid going to North Carolina there's literally 150 New York schools who don't have one player of that caliber You're comparing it to Texas ball or big time Pennsylvania ball or Georgia football yeah it's not that level New York at that level is still better than 15 maybe 20 states depending on year
  12. It's because the Syracuse and Rochester section have given up their public and private sections They have integrated their Catholic schools with public schools and joined New York State sections.. AKA section 5 and section 4 But that's not fair that Bennett has to go up against Christian Brothers which FYI Bennett has won a AA championship recently It's really not fair to them.. Catholic schools have a recruiting ability that public schools don't have It's a cop out... Christian Brothers recruits kids from seven different towns But Rochester and Syracuse folded and they are allowed to compete public Bennett lost to a private school in the public playoffs that's a fact
  13. Congratulations you're AAA School playing AA The fact any Monsignor Martin team has won in the last 15 years shows your AAA teams are overrated Monsignor Martin teams are doing it with less funding half the amount of students That's crazy to call it mediocre when there's probably 5-7 D1 players football players on the field FBS and FCS Their states that don't have 5 division one football players in the entire state That Iona versus Saint Francis game has like I said probably over 5 guys who can play D1 And a lot more who could play division 2-3 That's not mediocre
  14. I think offensive line play in the NFL is at an all time low and the Buffalo Bills are a team that can actually trot out 7 guys that could probably start on some NFL teams With RVD and Alec Anderson I've always been Alec Anderson's number one supporter here
  15. I don't feel anything for any other franchise considering what the Buffalo Bills have gone through for 65 years
  16. So in New York State high School football public School AA is the biggest ranking A would second biggest The Catholic schools in New York( Western New York to New York City).. have A AA and AAA only in NYC The Monsignor Martin League is AA Catholic... They take on the AAA New York City Catholic champion for the state Catholic championship AA public football is really good in New York... It's probably top to bottom a step down from the monsignor Martin League which is AA Catholic So St Francis is stepping up to play a bigger School in the NYS Catholic championship game.. but the Monsignor Martin League is the only thing in New York that could compete with those AAA Catholic schools Canisius has wonthe overall State title three times in the last 15 years
  17. I agree in most franchises that coach would go But in Buffalo where you could look at the roster and we don't have six or seven pro bowlers every year like some of the top teams Then you look at the contracts It wouldn't surprise me to see beane go before Sean
  18. Seeing that Patrick mahomes very rarely hits his backstep and throws the ball I'd say the offense is out of whack It's all him stepping up through the pocket and maneuvering and throwing That kind of shows the script is off Even on this last touchdown the entire play was dead it took a heroic effort The Chiefs are 6 and 5 they can't live with heroic efforts for nine straight weeks It just doesn't work like that in the NFL They're going to have to play Superman for 8 straight weeks which is not sustainable
  19. He is still tremendous creating Off script But you're not living on that Their entire scripted offense is weak
  20. I don't see there's any place where Beane can fire McDermott Sean was here first and drafted our first draft class with whaley with pro bowlers without beane Signed hide and poyer without Beane If anything McDermott has a year safe without beane.. and he would be the guy to go Sean can only work with what he's given and according to this entire board nobody thinks he has a top five or seven roster That's on the GM who's getting paid millions and millions of dollars
  21. Don't believe that was ever part of the rule The rule book is always explicitly stated both feet need to touch down not one foot twice
