  1. There's a reason why they talk about frames in football He has a frame that could literally support a lot more weight .. and professional organizations know how to put it on.. and take it off players.. we literally took 10 or 15 pounds off AJ epenesa ... and players like Calais Campbell gained 25-30 lb in their career Not Matt Milano he doesn't have the frame.. he's always hurt because he's already too jacked up for his frame.. Gregg on the other hand has a massive frame that can hold more weight Calais Campbell was 265 pounds most of his Miami career.. he bulked up for the combine.. and even gained 25 more pounds throughout his career and he has the type of frame Gregg has These are professional football players with the best dietitians and health experts in the world... He could add weight to his frame it was one thing that was always talked about as a plus to Gregg as a prospect That he has the ability to put on 20 plus pounds and play any spot along the line
  2. I don't Think I said it's a problem I said to maximize his potential he should be beef up.. he will never be a consistent Edge rusher with his traits at his size But with his frame if he dedicates himself and bulks up she's going to be a lot more of a terror at 6'7 285-290 than 6'7 265 He has the frame to literally put on 20 pounds easily and that will only help his strengths of his game He's not going to become a worse pass rusher by bulking up... It might only help his ability to go all over the line and then find a mismatch in the game that he can take advantage of
  3. Best team they've had in years
  4. I want Gregg to keep beefing up He's never gonna be a bend a rip defensive end winning with speed and bend around the corner But he does win with strength and leverage Calais Campbell is 6'7 and played at the U around 260-280 Then beefed up his frame to like 290 before the draft and finished at like 6'7 310 pound monster who could play along any front I think Rousseau at 280-290 will only improve his game since it's based on power and he has the frame and that will allow him to play every technique along the line
  5. People say McDermott is too aggressive chasing points But when he punted it against the dolphins on our own 30 yard line in the first quarter people said he was soft He's damned when he's aggressive and he's damned when he's not
  6. Had the chance to win on the last possession! OT
  7. I wonder how much it ramps up the next couple years but thanks for the info
  8. voiding his contract guarantees basically guaranteed he will be cut in the off-season Brandon did not file a grievance.. because I don't believe he's coming back
  9. Tell that to how much we beat up the Chiefs
  10. I think DK Metcalf will have less than 65 yards
  11. Dion has the number one pass block win rate percentage according to advanced metrics in the NFL this season He had a rough game for sure.. don't get too low on him He literally has the highest win rate for pass blocking among offensive tackles in the NFL this year
  12. He is really solid.. but there is a massive jump between the top 3 or 4 pure defensive ends ( not counting Edge rushing outside linebackers ) And the fifth to 10th ranked end... He's definitely in that second tier but that's a lot of money for a guy who has stretches of inconsistency The current run stuff win rate advanced metrics has him outside the top 10 edge despite PFF having him top five as a run stuffer right now His win rate is under 30% according to advanced metrics .. just outside the top 10.. yes he would look better with Ed on the line He's very good but has never taken that giant step to perennial pro bowler which would really help the bills
  13. You usually pretty plugged in on what's going on Is it a re-injury of his last year injury? Any idea how bad
  14. Out for the tournament
  15. That is literally ridiculous that Sean McDermott would be in the UFL without Josh Allen lol Sean McDermott would have another job in a millisecond as a head coach if we got rid of him He's literally was the defensive coordinator and play caller of the greatest Super bowl defensive effort ever in a losing game We've been severely outman in the playoffs for 2 years on defense and we lose by a field goal.. spagnola is literally fawned over here had more talent and a healthier defense and only gave up three less points hahaha And then he got gashed in the Super bowl the next week You would think if Sean McDermott was a bum and our defense was severely outmanned it would get whacked by Kansas City.. losing by three shows it's a hell of a coaching effort since everybody here says we're severely out coached, and they were healthy Doesn't make sense.. we also beat them five straight times in the regular season People act like Josh Allen was 100% guaranteed prospect.. he would have went first overall if that was true.. he literally had to get coached up to reach his full potential
  16. I mean yeah he can be a solid offensive coordinator he also put out a lot of stinkers I don't see how we can fire Brady today bringing Chip Kelly and have him run his offense.. The off-season I would definitely be interested in having Chip Kelly work with Josh if they get rid of Brady But I think there might be better guys available potentially
  17. I don't believe Kansas City has found more gems than us They had Chris Jones who is a future Hall of famer and Travis Kelce future Hall of famer before mahomes McDuffie is really good.. and so is Creed Humphrey.. but they were both pretty highly touted prospects.. Not top 10 guys but guys who scouts all said had tons of talent .. Creed was the number one center basically on every scouts board I do not believe they consistently turn fourth fifth sixth round picks into better players than the bills do Our development rate is basically the same if not even a little bit higher towards the bills over the last 7 years What we don't have is three future Hall of famers... But two of them were already on their team
  18. Ravens have one very good wide receiver Who is like a thousand yard guy not a 1500 yd All pro type guy And DeAndre Hopkins who has less yards than Palmer Cowboys and Eagles yes two great receivers... And the cowboys have won less playoff games than the bills in 15 years I definitely want better wide receivers , Eagles drafted devante Smith with a pic that the bills haven't picked that high in 9 years We have to try to get into the top 15 to get a closer to a blue chip wide receiver or it's going to be a coin flip at 28
  19. Amd he was benched last game for a series for breaking team rules iirc
  20. Steve was widely considered last year to have a better defense than the Buffalo Bills and this website thinks he's a better coach He had a better defense it was more healthy and according to this board he's a better defensive coach... The bills scored 29 and they 32 ... But our defense was a lot more banged up So if they had the better and healthier defense and the better coach.. maybe Sean McDermott did a great job holding them to 32 when their guy who people say is better gave up 29 with a better and healthier defense It's not like Sean came in with the healthy defense... Spagnola did Steve also gave up a 40 spot in the Super bowl... His defense is also have the ability to get gashed like Sean Difference is he had healthier defenses then the bills recently When Sean McDermott was defensive coordinator of the Panthers calling plays and they went to the Super bowl he allowed the fewest yards ever in a Super bowl loss.. the defense was the only reason Carolina was close
  21. I mean there's a million factors Yet you winning NFL game with who has more points on the board and who gave up least Tons of this board have given up on McDermott even while we were doing good Sean McDermott and Bill belichick literally in their first 15 years as a head coach or coordinator have the most top 10 defenses for takeaways in NFL history .. and eight full seasons in Buffalo his average ranking for turnover defense is 6th! Sean McDermott consistently puts out top 10 plenty of top five defenses for takeaways.. literally the lowest he's ranked here is 10th... not luck with him or Bill belichick The fact that they're not getting it this year shows it is in fact the players and not Sean because Sean's done it with everybody It's clearly the people way more than it is the coach because our coach has coached up mid and late round picks consistently in the NFL players gotten them second contracts turn castaways like poyer from an 0-16 Brown's team into an all pro Fifth round pick Matt Milano into all pro All of that is on his coaching ability and his ability to put the players in their best spot to succeed Been here for 8 years and we have 4 top 10 scoring defenses... 4... Ranking of 2-1-2-4 He's been here 8 years and he's has 5 top 10 defenses yards against Run defense has been the worst part of his defense and he still has two top 10 Rush defenses with his average ranking being 16 so middle of the pack 5 top 10 pass defenses including a few number one If any other coach in the world had those statistics they would be universally praised.. especially when we haven't even had top five picks to get Blue Chip players.. like the Texans we just played whose two best players on defense were number three overall picks McDermott absolutely has always done well with what he's given.. this year should show that maybe he doesn't have a lot to work with .. same with last year... can't turn chicken crap into chicken salad.. yet even at the end of the Ravens game the defense buckled down and made plays... McDermott still has them playing and not giving up And yes still being 14th in scoring defense is a lot better than being 31st I would literally not trade being 31st in rushing and 14th in scoring for being 14th in rushing defense and 31st in scoring the bills defense does consistently have multiple people dropping out of games every single week basically... It's not college where you have 105 players on your roster People here act like Sean McDermott is a bottom dwelling bottom 10 coach but I bring statistics that show that that opinion is far-fetched He has more top 10 units combined than Steve spagnola and they both have coached the same amount of time... Difference is steve has had a healthy defense in the playoffs way more consistently The last two years we've literally been without starting corner starting safety multiple starting linebackers multiple people on the defensive line dinged up Truly in a game of inches that's tough to overcome in a win or take all game
  22. Not guys that completely sucked and never worked out We didn't bring back basham or cody Ford Zay Jones was better than both of them and we didn't bring him back
  23. At the end of the day scoring defense is the only thing that matters and you're right it's not bottom 10 Certainly leaves a lot to be improved and McDermott should be grinding to improving it But if we're like 13th or 14th now and we're not even peaked it probably is a top 10 scoring defense... McDermott does give up rushing yards and some yards between the twenties He has never been one over nine years here too get gashed scoring wise.. his points per game here against are typically always closer to the top than the bottom
