CJ Stroud ruled for 2nd straight game with concussion
Buffalo716 replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe because when you have the skill positions of Ohio State you just need a prototypical college quarterback to get it done Colleges don't recruit kids based on their pro potential they recruit them based on how quickly they can help them in college... Tim Tebow one of the best college quarterbacks of all time Realistically those are the style of quarterbacks Ohio state has been recruiting for the majority.. athletic quarterbacks who can take advantage of great weapons Not exactly pure pocket passing Savants... Even when they get a good pocket passer they have three first round pick wide receivers so it's harder to gauge who's really doing more ... Even last year the kid from Kansas state was a running threat at Kansas State... All the passing weapons opened up his arm at Ohio state it's typically the wide receivers and running backs that open up things for Ohio State wide QBs -

Cornerback lifespan is not the longest anymore Fresh legs is what the position needs in today's NFL -

Who do we want, who do we need as our next HC and, or GM?
Buffalo716 replied to jaybeezee's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm losing some confidence in beane yes But I'm also not shortsighted so I'm willing to see how this season plays out... And regardless beane better feel a really hot seat under his ass -

Well yeah this roster is not far off But they have to be smart drafting and they need to sign good pro personal acquisitions with what little money they have -

Considering you're in a rock and a hard place if you don't re sign your own guys... Sure they've given out some rough contracts.. but you don't let Edmunds and Milano walk.. they chose Milano and he was a fan favorite... you needed to sign both of our tackles Trey White's contract when we gave it to him was obviously something we had to do he was in All pro dude we've won 11 12 13 games for years now You're not going to have salary cap open when you've been winning consistently that much and you're trying to keep pieces around so you don't have to go through that mini rebuild with a 7 win season It is a rock and a hard place That's why the drafting has to be better... This year's draft looks promising but it needs to be consistently better because we're always at the top Bad teams have 120 million in cap space not perennial winners -

The difference is the Patriots had 125 million in cap space.. with multiple top five picks the last couple years and a top 15 The bills had like 10 million dollars in cap space and haven't had a top 15 pick since Oliver -
Only people who have been beaten down syndrome and think that Buffalo Bills fans can't have any nice would believe that I don't think Josh is leaving before he's 40 if he's even playing at that time Philip Rivers stayed in San Diego and won a lot less for over 15 years

I mean that was a great team We've also been within a field goal twice.. while being down 3 4 defensive players.. and still lost by a field goal If we get the Chiefs without their starting safety starting linebacker and starting corner we're winning by more than three points fully believe that I BILLIEVE
-
Considering you can't compare team x to y to z every single team is different That game shows the bills were not ready to play with the Chiefs in a big game.. since then we have lost by a field goal while being severely outmanned I would say those teams were much more ready FYI I have been thinking about the 2020 AFC championship bills.. 2021 the overtime game in the division round.. definitely that team was close But we were also as close in 23-24 to beating Kansas City
-
The score of that playoff game doesn't show we were the closest In fact we've played the Chiefs down to a field goal multiple times since then.. we have been closer And been inching closer to the Chiefs yearly That team clearly was not ready in 2021 despite how great it was in the regular season.. it was not ready to win a big playoff game We are way closer the last 2 years

Battle for the Division: Bill and Pats remaining games poll.
Buffalo716 replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
7 10 8 4 4 Patriots win total over last 5 years They've been pretty mediocre for a while and got a lot of higher picks I wouldn't say that's extremely quick Every year there's like a team that goes from last to first in their division or close -
I had my nose shattered last year and it definitely messed with my head for a month plus It actually did give me a concussion and I was off

Josh Allen has had defeated looks on his face in years past when we lose Plenty of people on this website would talk about the camera zoom in on Josh in the fourth quarter when we haven't scored in 4th Straight drives and he looks defeated That's been said here for years it really is nothing new Most quarterbacks are married and it does not make them just retire... In fact it keeps people like Tom Brady playing Who is Josh's idol

Game week thread - Buccaneers at Bills
Buffalo716 replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Differences he wanted 15 million dollars last time and now he's on the practice squad -
Tons of quarterbacks have those looks Patrick mahomes has had that face for years Something tells me and this is not the homer in me That Josh Allen is not going to pass up millions and millions and millions and millions of dollars.. for a game that has been his passion his whole life This is called a rough patch He literally is the NFL iron Man .. football means a lot to himself still

The Worthy Trade Keeps Looking Worse and Worse
Buffalo716 replied to Bills Costa Rica's topic in The Stadium Wall
The only saving grace is that they are both ineffective rn The draft is a crap shoot because there are so many external factors even with talented football players -
Why are they not calling me back for an interview I've applied for 20 years! I don't care that I can't speak in a Southern bayou accent I'll learn sign language for the people in the bayou or something I'll get an interpreter!
