Bought some steins from garage sale (without garage)
Buffalo716 replied to Saxum's topic in Off the Wall
My grandfather was born in Germany and I have an antique stein from his family -
Sure it's not a good moment But when you look at the graduation rates for Buffalo public high schools... Then look what McDuffie has done with his students over the last decade Graduating his football players above an expected rate... Getting them into division 1 colleges And competing with Lancaster and orchard Park which nobody in section 6 said was possible... He's changing children's lives.. nobody else in section 6 has changed as many children's lives as he has Bennett is one of the best Cinderella stories in the country.... What he has done over the last decade is unprecedented around the country And he has been recognized around America for what he has done for the inner city of Buffalo as a football Coach and mentor You can't hate on a man who's changed children's lives... And has done what people said was impossible in Western New York Building an inner city school into a section 6 powerhouse

Both are prototypical college QBs Very nuanced in their system.. good at a lot of things , not great at anything Alot of average traits ... But developable I wouldn't take a first on them but they have developmental ability -

Penix is also a 6th year senior .... He is gonna get drafted top 4 rounds but he has severe injury history -
Listen that certainly was not a good moment for the city But McDuffie is changing young children's lives... Children who thought they had no escape out of the inner city.. are now going to college on scholarships It all sparked during a timeout, when Bennett huddled up on the field with coaches , and were given a penalty Christian Brothers was huddled up with their coaches also and did not receive a penalty That made the superintendent mad who ran out onto the field... Yes not a good look But he's the best coach in Western New York and he is taking kids from the inner city and giving them hope... Even keeping these kids to graduate high school is a achievement

Massive game tomorrow!! If SU can pull it off... I thoroughly believe they will be a tournament team

Back to football This is going to be a tough season next year ... I really wish they didn't give him that extension
-
@Back2Buff Dude he literally follows all my posts and just gives them thumbs down what's wrong with Bennett high School being good for the City of Buffalo .. and getting kids into college He's been doing this for a year He's angry because he's not allowed to post in the UB thread anymore

Addressing the "Josh Allen is TO machine" narrative
Buffalo716 replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed. Allen isn't perfect but the pros out weigh cons... He is scoring at an UNPARALLELED pace in NFL history Nobody will be able to keep up -

That's a product of his defense giving up 38 points a game You can't dink and dunk down the field for 40 a game Giving up five yard completions to push the ball down the field is part of the game plan... he can easily take a check down if he wants and he's nothing like darnold There's a reason why scouts are comparing him to a mahomes and Allen skill set... He's built for the modern NFL he's definitely better than CJ Stroud And he's literally playing Superman because Riley can't put a competent team around him .. something that CJ Stroud or Bryce young or Tua or Burrow didn't have to do... Hes used to having to do everything... Like Allen... There's not one college quarterback with as much on their shoulders as he has I've watched him play a bunch hence why I've said he's the number one quarterback since he was a freshman at Oklahoma He would have been the number one pick unquestioned last year He has a stronger arm than Joe burrow... He could extend a play like Josh Allen... Throws on the run like Josh... Breaks sack attempts in and outside the pocket... Throws a tight spiral and a very catchable ball... And does more with less than his peers... He's under more scrutiny than any quarterback since Peyton Manning... I went to the high school All-American game years ago to watch Trevor Lawrence as a scout.... He was the best 17-year-old quarterback I had ever seen But he had the team and the people around him to help alleviate the pressure... Caleb is literally playing with the world on his shoulders which a college athlete shouldn't have to do The pressure the University and fans are putting on him is more than any player I've seen since Peyton Manning -
I said they played good basketball... Calling them a power is not true... Powerhouses have accolades or sustained success Between the three schools... You don't have one championship... Or one runner-up.... Canisius had a good run and disappeared Combined you have one final four, two elite 8s and 7 sweet 16 from 50-85.. Syracuse has 1 natty , 2 runner ups, 6 final 4s, 10 elite 8s, and 21 sweet 16s and is considered a borderline powerhouse from 78-2015 That's a borderline powerhouse And between 1951 and 1960... The only two Northern schools to win a national championship were LaSalle in Pennsylvania and Ohio state Kansas, Indiana, San Francisco, Kentucky , North Carolina, and California Plenty of champions out west and still in the Midwest in the 50s... Kentucky was a power in the 50s And you're still not registering the fact that there are less division 1 basketball players in this area than their were in 1950-70 St bonaventure's can't recruit the number one pick in the draft https://ainsworthsports.com/basketball_college_rankings_by_decade_1950s.htm Here's a ranking of the best basketball programs of the 1950s Canisius at a highly respectable 37.. not a powerhouse yet a really good program

Why did you get Uber defensive? I was agreeing with your assessment that JJ stays because he isn't nba level rn I have no idea why he got so defensive because I was agreeing with him that JJ is gonna stay because he isn't an NBA player rn and judah is
-
Except LSU doesn't have ball handlers We have three very good ball handlers in JJ Judah and Copeland They don't have one guy on their team that handles the rock like that... Extremely weak ball handling
-
Looked really good today!! Bell is such a smooth shooter.... And Judah!!

Who’s the best QB prospect in the ‘24 draft class?
Buffalo716 replied to bills6969's topic in College Football
I don't know why people are saying the luster has fallen off Williams LOL He is literally USC's team... Is carrying them and actually has better stats than last year in areas A better rating, a higher completion percentage, and better yards per attempt On a weaker team 11.9 attempts per TD last year, 12.9 this year ... Basically the same He just hasn't thrown 500 times this season -
Gabe Davis Miscommunication Plays this season
Buffalo716 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree he's not understanding leverage and look Against cover one he could bend to the pylon ... Leveraging away from the safety Here in a cover zero situation .. he was even able to stack the cornerback which is an almost guaranteed win on a vertical route There's no reason to break the route to the corner when he had the CB basically stacked ... That's a death blow for a corner on a vertical route -
A problem with that line of thinking is there's 15 third Downs and maybe a couple of 4th downs a game And McDermott does not call a timeout on every third down situation... So the other team is guessing which three times out of 15 McDermott is going to burn a time out... Three out of 15 is not a good enough percentage to just have them trot out fake play calls
-
Yea JJ isn't at Judah level rn
-
Do you remember when his defense also gave up critical touchdowns in terrible spots? And couldn't get stops when it mattered in big games? Yeah that happened with him here too
-
Donnie Freeman is a stud! Super pumped about him And yes losing JJ and Judah will be tough but we will have a 6'6 Junior in quadir who is crafty and a glue guy I could see some MCW lite in him

Coaches and players relationships certainly can mold mentorship and family into a high stressful environment based on results Where both are highly dependent on each other... Coaches need players , who buy in and are willing to be coached .... Or their job is on the line ... And on the flip , players need to accept coaching and grow, because if you aren't getting better in the NFL... You're regressing Airing dirty laundry in public ... Especially at the NFL level usually is never good... These are grown men at the end of the day I prefer , like McDermott, meet me in the office and let's talk man to man and face to face ... And hash out differences You will get a lot more respect out of the person you are talking to and might even grow the relationship... Taking it to the media is a surefire way to destroy it
-
When you blitz like that you actually don't need to cover as long so it actually masks lesser corners Hence why McDermott is getting more aggressive on an older and banged up secondary... Dropping seven could make them cover for 5 seconds.... Blitzing 6 gets the ball out in two... That's three less seconds to cover Defensive backs need to trust their technique

Yeah if you're going to call them strict you have to call them strict on both teams This is a one-sided s*** show and the bills are beating two opponents -
