  1. Did we call a designed Allen run on 3rd and 9? Did that really just happen? What is Daboll doing?
  2. Awesome. He should run every time with that much open field. I sometimes feel like they coached the running out of him too much.
  3. Allen usually makes that throw but he should have just run for the 1st. Sometimes he is too afraid to run the ball.
  4. I'm not even advocating trading for him, I just don't agree Singletary and Moss are solely held back by the o-line. They miss some opportunities that are there and contribute almost nothing as pass catchers. If we had a RB anywhere near the level of McCaffrey we would be unstoppable.
  5. It's both. Neither Singletary nor Moss are legit #1 RBs. A true high end pass catching RB would be explosive in this offense.
  6. I will give you that one. Funny enough that is the one Bills game from at least the last 10 years that I was unable to watch live. Since they lost I never bothered watching it on DVR so I couldn't tell you what happened.
  7. No, he really hasn't. The Jags should have been an easy win if Tua had played like a starting caliber QB. On their last drive he had two passes that took too long to get to their intended target, one turned into a pass breakup and one the receiver got tackled after a minimal gain. His physical upside is so limited that he has to be perfect in every other aspect and he is far from it. It cost them in that game. I would agree the Falcons game was the best of his career but that is the definiton of grading on a curve. It's sad that the best game of his career came against a godawful defense and he still threw two back breaking interceptions in scoring range in a game decided by 2 points. Tua is a backup caliber QB. He does exactly one thing well - throw an accurate ball to his first read when kept clean in the pocket. When the play call doesn't work out perfectly he falls apart. A skill set like that might be able to manage a good team to a .500 record. If they had Watson instead they would be 3-3 at worst right now. Possibly 4-2. McDermott thrives against limited QBs. I can't remember a single game in his tenure here where a below average QB has beaten us.
  8. Right, so losing their best red zone weapon could make them even less efficient unless they figured something out during the bye week. Luckily I am sure we can still easily win the next 3 games even if our red zone offense struggles. Hopefully Knox is back and fully healthy by the Colts game.
  9. Losing Knox is a bigger deal than fans are making it out to be. He is arguably our best weapon in the red zone not named Josh Allen. Not sure this game will be the 3 or 4 TD blowout people are predicting.
  10. Tua is so bad, A serial assaulter Is preferred by fans
  11. Their season is toast and they haven't been using him anyways. They should be sellers at the trade deadline.
  12. With the new rules, yes. I looked it up. I believe he would still have to stay on IR for 3 weeks minimum. Realistically I see no chance of this actually happening but I think it improves a major weakness.
  13. I would still flip a late round pick for him and get him ready for late season and our playoff run.
  14. Apparently even when the home run ball is there he's missing it though. It isn't just that he's forcing passes. His bigger problem is he is not trusting the reads and the offensive line. It's all in his head right now. I wonder if the Super Bowl got under his skin.
  15. My concern is red zone offense. It has already been bad this year and now we have lost one of our best red zone weapons in Knox. Luckily I don't think we need to score anywhere close to 30 points to beat the Dolphins.
  16. Chris Simms eviscerated Mahomes' performance against Tennessee on his podcast today. The relevant part starts about 6 minutes in. Anyone blaming the blocking or play calling for his poor performance, give this a listen. I wish I had video to see what Simms is describing, but be basically says Mahomes is hanging his OTs out to dry, he's watching the pass rush instead of looking downfield, he's missing wide open reads, he isn't trusting his protection even when it's good. Mahomes has to pull himself out of this slump or their season is toast.
  17. Next year, sure. If we're talking about spending draft capital on a mid-season move to put us over the top for a Super Bowl we don't need another short WR. Our biggest issues on offense are interior blocking and red zone offense. Cooks helps with neither. I don't even know where he would fit into the rotation unless we actually got rid of Beasley and moved Sanders into the slot, which I definitely don't see happening.
  18. WR is the last thing we need. Does he take snaps from Sanders?
  19. He is in a slump. It happens to every player in every sport. Allen was in a slump the first two games of the season. One good game and he'll find his groove again. Some of the factors around him aren't helping but he is still responsible for his own play. The Bills offensive line played like crap against the Steelers and Allen went on a two game skid where he forgot how to throw the ball. He was still responsible for missing some of those throws. If things out of your control are affecting your play, that is on you. It might be hard for Mahomes to lose the hero ball. He played that style for three seasons and didn't get punished for it until the Super Bowl last year. This year it has directly led to losses against the Ravens and Chargers, and somewhat the Titans. Against the Bills he had ugly footwork for much of the game and his passes were off. Say what you want about the factors around him. He is getting paid half a billion dollars to rise above all of that. I think he will snap out of it.
  20. I'm going to guess the "league source" is someone in Watson's camp pushing for someone, anyone, to trade for him. They tried using smoke out of Miami as leverage to get other teams interested and it isn't working. Probably because teams don't want to trade for a player with an uncertain future. I bet he sticks on Houston's inactive list for the remainder of the season.
  21. I mean this is just not true. Alex Smith suddenly had a career resurgence with KC and everyone gave credit to the combo of Hill and Kelce and Andy Reid. Obviously Mahomes is a much better QB than Smith and has pushed that offense's ceiling to the sky. But the talent was always there. I have no clue what Mahomes would look like throwing to a WR tandem of John Brown, Duke Williams, and Cole Beasley, but it wouldn't be a 5000 yard performance. I can guarantee that. And now they lost him and suddenly the offense is looking more like it did with Alex Smith at the helm, unable to move the ball consistently without hitting big plays downfield. This point contradicts your argument.
