Inexcusably losing that game against the Texans, is the problem. The Chiefs play inferior teams the rest of the sked, aside from an even match v.s. the Bills. Aside from that one in 2 weeks, they play Chargers at Home, Steelers Away. That’s it. Bills, because of injuries, need to muscle through- tomorrow! Then the gauntlet of Chiefs, 49ers and Lions! Soooo unlikely to be #1. #2 is an easier route and at least, you get 2 Home games at Highmark.

I said something similar to WGR… TWENTY YEARS AGO! 1) Refs should be full time, well paid positions, selected from Division 1 draftees who don’t make the NFL, but are in excellent shape and have scored high on the Wonderlic. 2) They need to have intense training in the Rule Book, including what constitutes a catch and what is PI. 3) Agree. Missed Face Masks/ Helmet to Helmet need to be instantly reviewed from the booth and play stopped and overturned. 4) Post game, EVERY week, Refs missing calls from 3 feet away,need to be asked point blank, WHY they missed/ made the call. These involve both legit infractions missed AND phantom Holding calls made. Their answers, cumulatively should be grounds for whether they still have a job in 2025. 5) The field/ End Zone needs to be wired for any type of OOBs infractions. Instant decisions.

This HC made the correct decision- for THIS end of game decision. The reason why this is more than academic,is because THIS HC has made some terrible FUBAR end of game decisions, resulting in losses, starting with 13 Seconds, through multiple clown Defenses on Hail Marys and finishing with the latest- 3 running plays @ Houston, resulting in plenty of time to lose. That is why someone started the post. HC end of half/game Decision Making is a critical aspect of management and should constantly be scrutinized.
