  1. Hoping Williams comes back, but Hyde definitely seems to have the captain make-up. So does White. On offense, I know he's had a muddled past, but is Incognito so far outside the realm of possibility? Alternatively, if Taylor ends up back with the Bills, even if not a starter, he seems like a good captain to me (cue the captain checkdown comments). Or, how about McCoy? Never thought I would suggest him as a captain, but he is a veteran and has really seemed to take on that kind of role recently.
  2. Would love it, but don't see him falling that far. Would most likely take #21 or #22.
  3. Can we get this thread locked until NewDay is okay with the discussion?
  4. A suggestion. Per Walterfootball: Austin Corbett, OT/C, Nevada Height: 6-4. Weight: 305. Projected 40 Time: 5.12. Projected Round (2018): 3-5. 1/22/18: Corbett was a versatile blocker for Nevada since he became a freshman starter. As a redshirt freshman and sophomore, Corbett was Nevada's starter at left tackle. For his junior year, he moved to right tackle, but was back at left tackle as a senior. Corbett received a Senior Bowl invitation and is listed at center for practicing in Mobile. Will be interested to see how he fares during the Senior Bowl practices/game. We know OBD likes 4-year starters. Versatile.
  5. After re-signing some of our own, Hubbard is one of, if not the, priority FA for me. Provides a lot of value and won't break the bank, despite that I agree he will have suitors. Because people discuss these things on a Buffalo Bills message board.
  6. To those saying this is wrong, how long after this news is permissible to start talking about its Buffalo Bills football implications?
  7. I bet Groy. He's not a bad OL. Also have posted that I want us to go after Hubbard, OT from Steelers. He played a few snaps at C this year and could be our rotational/back-up. Had a couple low snaps, but otherwise fared well and had only played the position a handful of times in practice before that.
  8. Makes Hubbard from PIT even more of a target, imho. Guy can start at RT, but had some, albeit shaky, reps at C for the Steelers this year, too.
  9. Good vibes out to him and his family. Sucks because he played 100% of the offensive snaps this season.
  10. "It was undeniably a memorable run for the Bills, but ultimately inconsistencies on offense stalled out the season. Nobody knows better than Buffalo’s center, Eric Wood, who played in 100-percent of the team’s offensive snaps this season." Just remembered reading this on BB.com and thinking "Wow, what a jinx." Hope he and his family are doing as best as they can.
  11. The way it has been reported, it struck me as a new injury, so I would have thought it disqualified those guys.
  12. Kirk would be good value. I like that he is a returner, too.
  13. Agree with those saying that if it is Wood, then having Groy makes it not so much of a devastating loss.
  14. Reeeeeally hope we trade to #3 with the Colts and get one of Rosen/Darnold/Mayfield.
  15. Exactly what I thought at first, too. Can't find anything on where he currently lives, but I would love for this to somehow work.
  16. I'm good for moving up for Mayfield at #3-5, so, yeah, do it at #12. No to Allen. Maybe even at #21 and #22.
  17. I tend to buy into it at least a little. I get the sense the guy will do anything to win, and I like that. I don't like antics, so agree there, but I think he just wants to win. I've heard/read many reports that he will put the team on his back and is successfully in motivating his teammates. Unrelated to Mayfield, isn't the NFL a little like Wrestlemania? It's an entertainment league above all else. Related to Mayfield, I'm not sure you have to completely stifle his personality. A good organization/coach just channels it effectively and healthily. In sum, I get the sense he is a guy his team will really go to battle with/for.
  18. I hear that, fair take. Personally, I like Rosen and Darnold, but really hope we move up for Mayfield.
  19. I don't think anyone is denying the variance and uncertainty in scouting. Still, if OBD likes a guy enough that they think he is going to be (instead of a franchise QB, I'll say) great, then they should trade up to get him. The same logic regarding uncertainty can be applied to every single pick in the draft. But teams still draft guys. Relying on their scouting departments. And if they are sold based on their scouting that a guy is a great QB, then they should move what need be moved to get him. I don't think we should settle for competence. We should be going all-out to obtain a great QB.
