  1. granted obviously the interaction between offensive ppg and w/l is a lot more complicated than what's been laid out for example- the two game stretch where bass missed 3/4 fgs would add 9pts over a six game average which would obviously improve output...two of those were vs the Giants in a win (altho both were from 50+ iirc) another- we scored 25 in a loss vs Patriots where their season average ppg against was 21.5. we also lost v jags scoring 20 where the Chiefs were able to beat them scoring 17 im all for actual discourse on the offense. but there is a ton of nuance that gets left out
  2. Breaking news- teams tend to score fewer points in losses!
  3. Can we just agree to drop it because in all honesty I don't particularly care about being right, I care about the bills being good
  4. lol what on earth are you talking about YOU are the one who is consistently wrong and refuse to acknowledge it. you are probably more unapologetically wrong than almost anyone ive ever read on here. please dont make me bring up the diggs thread i will have no problem saying i was wrong about Brady and the offense if they look great this year. unlike you i am capable of changing my opinion w out gaslighting
  5. what are we even arguing about tho the results speak for themselves. you literally cant say he didnt do a good job in 2022
  6. 😂😂ive been way higher on dorsey than like 95% of this board from the jump yes i thought he did a good job
  7. You know that 2022 offense was elite right 2nd in PPG 2nd in ypg 2nd in points per drive 2nd in scoring drives yes they turned the ball over too much but it didnt stop them from dominating
  8. shanahan had issues w aiyuk at one point, didn't like his attitude or something personally id try to keep them both for as long as possible but we've see the better guy moved before, thats how we got diggs
  9. I mean yes they can afford it, they just don't want to I thought you meant something different nm
  10. If they're hesitant to pay aiyuk now why would they want to do it when he's 2yrs older
  11. 😂😂Of course you're not seeing it You believe Dorsey was fired for cause and that his top2 offense was 'predictable' and poorly designed said in another thread this season's offense is going to be a wake up call for a lot of folks but from the looks of it i'm probably giving them too much credit😂😂
  12. Again simply a gross misrepresentation of the offense under Dorsey poor and predictable schemes do not result in this https://x.com/minakimes/status/1724466437190975685
  13. Fwiw I hope I'm wrong about this coming year the g tobviously But the roster+what we saw last season leads me to believe they're going w a much more conservative approach and I think it's going to produce a significantly less productive offense
  14. He was also sacked the second most times in his career, damn Dorsey for calling all those sack plays! I figured you knew better than to conflate rush attempts w called QB runs, maybe you don't. Regardless, I have a feeling this season is going to be eye opening for a lot of folks
  15. Embracing variance in the pass attack Leveraging his QBs unique ability to attack all parts of the field Understanding that the modern requirement of QB mobility should be deployed as a trait and not a feature
  16. Yes Dorsey, the one OC who DIDN'T automatically call QB power when he was out of ideas as to how to move the ball on the ground...he's the one who lacked imagination
  17. Also before @FireChansask- I don't blame daboll in the slightest for parlaying his role in developing Allen into a HC spot. It's the smart play when you find yourself in that position. All I ask is we remember his offenses accurately when we try to compare the list of mediocre OCs we've been subjected to the last 7yrs
  18. dont forget exposing Allen to a completely unnecessary 1v1 w the Texans safety in the wildcard on the John Brown lateral pass...you know just because daboll was auditioning for HC as much as he was crafting an offense
  19. 😂😂we literally just saw McDermott shitcan the guy who was trying to implement a modern NFL offense and replace him w a guy who went full ball control
  20. another direct quote- "If you were in the team meetings in training camp, you would know what style of offense I want and what style of defense I want. What style of football team I want. That identity is shaped in training camp and that identity needs to embody toughness.”
  21. it is absolutely the offense McDermott wants direct quote after the Bengals game- "You have to [establish the run] in order to move the chains and keep a good offense off the field. And I think that's all part of being a good offense is being two-dimensional"
  22. You need young guys getting full reps early so they can contribute late in the season
  23. this will have to change imo If hollins is playing over Coleman week1 something has gone wrong
  24. would it be fair to say thus far the dline has outperformed the oline or no
