^oh and if you had really watched the game you would have mentioned Knox dropping that huge 3rd down play in the red zone, McKenzie dropping a TD along the sideline, Brown dropping the tying TD as time expired...not to mention iirc that was the game he got his foot rolled up on by Feliciano and couldn't move Almost positive that's the game that Beasley dropped a 40 yarder in a one score game too

What game have the Bills won with Allen at QB that they had no business winning? He wasn't horrible against Baltimore lmao. That's a top defense playing lights out at the time...Allen was average. The offensive line was getting abused and he took some shots. Be honest...you didn't watch the game, you looked @his stat line and a couple highlights.

It's not obviously flawed. EPA is a non-proprietary equation, albeit calculated slightly differently by different stat aggregators, and it's well understood and used by everyone from teams analytics depts to gamblers. What is unclear is whether it's predictive or not. But it is not obviously flawed. It doesn't surprise me tbh. For one, the difference in EP between a drop and a completion is always going to be higher than you might expect for a team like the Bills w/fewer attempts than league average, and when you consider propensity to run in red zone vs throw, drops in areas that would allow for FGs instead of punts etc I don't see anything that doesn't jive with what I'm seeing in terms of dropped passes

Next on PFF- who would you rather have at QB: Aaron Rodgers or Jameis Winston?

You calculate the difference in yards/field position/time left on clock etc between the drop and completion to get diffEP% for each play, then total for EPA

I can try to answer a few of these- Yes there are a few capable options right now. I expect whichever of Norman/Wallace show better to slide into that spot, my guess is Norman will start but we will see a lot of Wallace to spell him esp on run downs. IIRC Wallace played injured last year and should hopefully bounce back to form I don't know much about the rookies but they have been making it a point to bring along Neal in the big nickel package plus he's a ST staple, I do not know if they are trying to carve out a larger role for him but they seem to trust him. Taron Johnson however imo is a stud. The staff plays him in big spots, he understands the system and where he fits in, he is a very solid tackler in run support for his size...he does a TON every time he goes in. I really like Johnson and even though I think he probably lacks some of the elite athleticism to play outside (not quite smooth/fluid enough lower body transitions etc) the dude is GAME. And easily smart enough to make a starting spot for himself depending on the % of time they run base I think they Norman will start at CB2 and he will enjoy the Edmunds shading w/safety help and will play off LOS majority of the time. He is still quick enough but doesn't have the same physical edge to engage and throw wideouts off timing-wise which is just what happens when DBs get older. I think he can still be effective and is a wholly different player at this point than Wallace which is what makes it such an interesting signing to me

No kidding. How many units where the Jets gain an obvious edge? I have zero, at best they push at LB and safety plus QB and that is IT...maybe offensive line? Top to bottom the Bills have more talent. Not really debatable imo
