  1. Not sure TDs/reception is the best way to compare Bills players to others imo This offense generates a lot more TDs than your average
  2. It's not simply about gross production. That's a simplistic way to look at the valuation of going for a rookie wideout Diggs got 160 targets last season and turned in the 70th most efficient performance in terms of producing ypa I have little doubt a cheaper efficient rookie would be more valuable regardless of whether he breaks an irrelevant gross yardage figure
  3. If anything I'm overvaluing him In this offense, being the 13th most productive wideout in the league on the 5th highest AAV is really bad value compared to a good rookie
  4. Meh He just happened to be the one who caught that pass, the defense was the memorable part
  5. Of course they did that's not the point. They could have gotten someone only say 80% as good as Jefferson and they still come out ahead and it's possible that kind of guy will be available this year around where we pick
  6. I think there's a distinction I would agree top tier elite guys are probably worth paying but that wasn't what Diggs was prior to coming here, he was a borderline top10 guy who blossomed into a legit top5 guy playing in this offense. It was a gamble that paid off but frankly even Diggs hasn't been the piece the Bills have needed to get to Super Bowl...all things considered in hindsight staying put and drafting Jefferson would have been the easy call
  7. Yes exactly It's less about replacing/adding players at this point it's about accumulating the most value
  8. Yes you make my point but for the dumbest rule in pro football we aren't even in the game to begin with
  9. That's the real context for the last drive as compared to the rest of the game It was really only close because we had somehow offensively managed to small ball our way to a one score game, the defense had been getting dog walked for 3+ quarters prior and we finally folded under that pressure
  10. They were I compared it to the football equivalent of a no hitter It's so difficult to sustain that kind of offense and it ended up costing us in the biggest moment
  11. Ok here is my issue w that analysis I firmly believe the goal was to score early and have the ball last as evidenced by the shot to Diggs. Once that fell through they entered into no man's land on a long drive that was almost certainly fated to leave too much time on the clock...modern NFL drives just don't last 8+mins. It's an impossible ask As for Allen's decision to go for the TD- it's a true 50/50 for me. Trying to run the clock out there imo is as risky as leaving time for KC to score...it honestly is one of my biggest issues wrt actual football acumen from top to bottom. The Bills rn play a naive brand of football that is at odds w properly managing their high leverage situations and the end of the Chiefs game was a perfect example
  12. I believe that they did have a plan and it went off the rails after the Diggs drop and the drive wore on Would hardly be the first instance of poor game management in the critical moments 😂😂
  13. There's no easy way to say this but in a thread full of bad takes this may be the worst
  14. Is aikman better than Rodgers Ffs be better
  15. Pretty sure Allen has the most playoff TDs/game and lowest playoff INT% in NFL history so no he literally cannot be better
  16. Allen was better than Mahomes last year
  17. There are a lot of parallels tbh I followed the Cam years in Carolina owing to my brother
  18. No It was on an attempted tackle after throwing a pick https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/cam-newton-says-2016-shoulder-injury-affected-him-for-years
  19. As always feel free to miss the point chasing a rhetorical flourish
  20. It's mostly context for the 'we draft plenty of wideouts and no DTs' crowd
  21. No but even including that it's not close, Diggs included is 780 iirc It's not a one for one imo, the rookie is cost controlled and more valuable
  22. since 2017 the Bills have used 1,466 points of draft capital selecting DTs in that same time period they have drafted 146 points worth of WRs
  23. allow me to clarify i am not interested in a straight bet on Diggs being traded my 'vibe' in this thread is very much aligned w +500ish proposal i WILL accept an even money bet that 90% of people posting in this thread think it's more likely Diggs isn't traded i don't think Diggs is a villain but a potentially useful trade asset
  24. 😂😂 ok chief enjoy yourself real men light their equity on fire whenever they get the chance
