  1. Jack Fox cut by the Chiefs after solid preseason. Interesting prospect with a live leg and can also be an emergency kicker. Sucks at FG's but nailed XP's and his punting has been very good improving every year at college. Young and can grow with this team. https://arrowheadaddict.com/2019/06/29/dustin-colquitt-jack-fox-rare-competition-punter-chiefs/
  2. Matt VandenBoom '83 draft pick. Flamed out rookie yr from concussionafter showing early promise w/big hits. Best name ever for a hard hitting FS
  3. I seem to recall the Pat's legendary line coach Dante Scarnecchia retired for a year, and DeGugliemo (sp?) Took over for a year with poor results. I believe the Pat's let him go after a year and we're thrilled to talk Scarnecchia out of retirement to clean up the mess. If anyone has better info please chime in.
  4. I know this to be true after being a loooooongtime season ticket holder (parents got them in 1960, still have them). If Peterman goes 28 games in a row with fantastic stats and then has a clunker game, the trolls will surface out of their gopher holes and all chime as one, "But, but, but Peterman had a 5 interception game in his first start so he sucks! True fans will be objective but trolls ? Nope. Its the old Buffalo Eddie from the Eastside mentality. Yes, I'm old, but you don't have to get offa my lawn. I actually love to see kids playing on my lawn !
  5. I still remember when Brees was playing at Purdue. They questioned his arm strength back then and that's why he was not drafted til the 2nd rd by the Chargers. His arm strength has vastly improved through strength and conditioning but it's still not a nuclear option. But the guy is a stone cold lock for the HOF. Peterman may turn out to be a nice little player and a possible future trade chip, but that's a big if playing behind the speed bumps, aka his pass protection
  6. This. It seems many have posted Reilly as the second coming of Steve Largent. Everyone knows that the Pats have done well with caucasian slot receivers and every time a team lets one go (Chris Hogan) we have a WNY panic attack. Reilly is a fringe player and if he was all that the Bills would love to keep him. I want the Bills to win many Super Bowls and if it takes small moves forward to climb to the top of that mountain I will be patient with the present FO.
  7. I grew up in the Rockpile. I was around 12-15 years old in the mid 60s and fought (got the crap beat out of me by adults) trying to get XP's and FG's that went into the Dodge street endzone seats. This was in the days before they put nets up to stop the footballs and Genesse beers in bottles! were sold by the case.......Yes, by the CASE !!! I actually had 6 footballs in my hands but only got out of the stadium with 1 as the cops took back 5 and gave them away to their person of choice. The football I got out of the stadium with was called "The Duke" and it was the ball that was shared the NFL and AFL as it was close to the 2 leagues merging. Like a dumb pre-teen, i played catch and touch football in the streets with neighborhood kids, left it in the yard and <poof> it disappeared. My bad but kids do stupid things. It was a great time to grow up being a Bills fan in the old Rockpile and 50 years later I cherish the memories.
  8. It's well known in media circles in the Buffalo area Janet Snyder
  9. Drew Willey is not on this list ?!?! I'll have to update my draft board......
  10. You are correct. There are exceptions. My Dad bought season tix in 1960, the Bills inaugural season. He passed away in 1963 but my mother renewed every year since then for my brother and I who were huge Bills fans at the tender age of 7 and 10. We have gone to most of the games over the years and share them with a great friend whose Dad was also an original season ticket holder and we've kept them in our families for going on 59 years now. Our mother moved to Arizona about 10 years ago and they're still in her name but we proudly renew every year and attend games whenever possible. The Bills are not inflexible if they know that hugely devoted long time fans are taking care of the tickets they buy and not putting them in the hands of vagabond derelict game attendees. Our family bleeds Buffalo red white and blue and we will til our last breaths.
  11. They become an ambulance chasing law firm and give Cellino and Barnes indigestion.
  12. The 2 concussions in such a short time frame concern me. Concussions have a cumulative effect over a long period of time and who knows if Rosen had other previous related incidents in college or HS ? He may already be damaged goods. Or not.
  13. Oy, I feel for you OP. Been there, done that several times with both dogs and cats. They become family members and wedge their way into our hearts. That's a tough call but I would ask each family member if their last memory of Fluffy will be watching him get into a car or hugging the pet as they slip gently away. "Protecting" family members may exclude them from your pets last precious moments. P.S. Make sure the vet is a Bills fan/ Patriots hater. Much more compassionate
  14. This Some people are just nasty to posters and act like they're above other posters. It's the get offa my lawn crew out in force. Eff 'em. Go Bills
  15. Jim Kelly was first ballot HOF, yet I recall many raging for Frank Reich (think Fitzy 1.0) to start. I think they're all related kin to the ones yelling for McBeanes scalp and the trade Jack Eichel clan. Arrested development caused by chronic inbreeding
  16. Andrew Luck will be 29 years old opening week of the 2018 NFL season and coming off of a missed season with a shoulder injury. If the Bills commit to spending a kings ransom of draft picks for a franchise QB, I want it to be a young guy that grows with what will also be a needed OL rebuild. Leave Luck to remain as the Colts problem.
  17. Just guessing, but at some point you were probably an upstart noob who thought your posts (pre-100) were earth shattering. It seems like snobbery prevails here based on number of posts, not content. Have at it get off my lawn guys.
  18. This ridiculous attitude is what keeps many "noob's" from posting on forum boards. Many think that because they have "xxxx" # of posts that they are more worthy than a new poster. There are some with huge posting #'s that just spew BS constantly and dont know their head from their arse. Others are great posters with a long history of thoughful and provacative posts and replies. What is it that makes you superior to those of us who like to read the content at this site and selectively reply ? I could argue that my families history of having season tix on the 47 yard line since 1960 (Yes, original season tix holder, less than 100 of us left) makes me an expert on all things Buffalo Bills but that's just silly. I think new blood is what keeps a forum healthy even if it upsets the grumpy old "Get offa my lawn" oldtimers Signed, 1960 "Noob"
  19. So lets all throw the reports that watson stole the show at the combine in the trash bin and believe a subjective test that Watson is a limp wristed QB not worthy of a high draft pick. Most people think that Tyrod Taylor has ample arm strength and he scored a 50 on the same test vs Watson at 49. I was at the BCS championship game in Tampa and focused on Watson the entire game. What I saw is a fearless leader who his teammates look up to, hangs in the pocket, throws into tight spots, has zip on the long ball, and pays the price to win games. Watson lit up Bama for 21 pts in the 4th quarter when they knew he had to pass. His college coach called him the Michael Jordan of football yet we see posters raving about the fastballs that combine QBs throw vs air. I can only imagine if Tyrod was throwing to the open WR vs Bama with one second left in the game and tossing it into the ground because he cant see wide open receivers that are 5 yards away from him. Watson is the real deal and thrives on the pressure. He has plenty of arm strength to spare (eye test) and disregard a cherry picked test that he probably did not even care about or trained for as hes coming off a championship win.
