So you wouldn't count on Seymour to replace Gilmore because he is unproven but your ready to move on from Preston Brown already and anoint Ragland? I agree in letting Gilmore go and they are going to have to find something to replace him but why so quick on Rags? Brown and Brown fit well together until I see Ragland duplicate that level of play I'd rather keep what we have.

I agree on all accounts! The Oakland game has a chance and I hope it doesn't happen, I prefer the 1pm time slot. Much more enjoyable than waiting all day for a game.

Seattle and NE are two of the better run defenses, so we will know more soon. Last I checked Seattle was holding opponents to 3.3 YPC and NE is somewhere around 3.7. My guess is BB try's to take away Shady next week, if we don't respond well that will affect future game plans from DC's. Huge game next week, can't wait.

Which would probably mean to take away big plays and force him to dink and dunk down the field. Either way those mistakes are better mad vs. bad QB's. They have two weeks to fine tune things and see where we stand.

Torrey did get behind everyone twice yesterday, I'm sure they will be working on communication to clean that up. Kap missed an easy one earlier in the game, IIRC it was Darby trailing on the play.

Speaking of high play from backers, the Pats fans are going nuts over Elandon Roberts after yesterday's game. Good call on that one, so far.

You would be looking at paying a Prince A. or someone similar for much less than Gilmore is going to get or using a high pick. I would have taken Alexander and groomed him this year behind Gilmore and Darby. By refusing to pay Gilmore top 5 money you are accepting lesser cornerback play in the short term, no doubt about it.

Shutdown is a loose term. Most fans seem to agree that he isn't worth top 5 money. He is a solid corner who goes under the radar for chunks of games simply because he is doing his job. At times though it is impossible to ignore his sloppy attempts at a tackle or getting beat. He has never scored a touchdown. If your the best of the best why can't you take one to the house? No one is a shutdown corner, but plenty of other corners can turn a game upside down ahead of Gilmore. He is nice but not 14m per year nice.

Yeah I read that on here, hope it's true. Bosa does looked slimmed down and so far so good for a guy who missed the whole summer Big challenge for Rex to incorporate Lawson and Puff daddy without interrupting the mojo that D has right now. With the injuries/suspensions and flat start to the season Rex is a few more wins away from getting coach of the year chatter popping up.

Should be up to speed with the playbook, physically I would think he has lost some strength while nursing his shoulder back to health.

Bosa wasn't going through months of rehab, it will be interesting to see what kind of shape Shaq is in. Does anyone doubt he is in better shape than big puff?

Early critique would be a few plays where the rush got him off his spot right after the snap and he was unable to reset his eyes even after buying time with his legs. From what I remember he threw it away on similar plays though which is obviously much better than a sack/turnover.
