Week 8 predictions: Patriots at Bills
CommonCents replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Blame the football gods if you want but some other factors are in play. Shady is on the backside of his career and even when limiting his touches his health is a major concern. That can be said for most starting RB's but having him be our number 1 option with that amount of miles was always a concern. The coaching staff has done a good job at limiting his carries though. For WR it is a real stretch to blame the football gods. The position was all but ignored in the offseason and no reliable/proven pieces were added. Sammy's foot has diagnosed predraft and the organization did not make any significant moves to bolster the position. Whether it be draft picks or a veteran many many many folks pointed out that something needed to be added... Even if just for some insurance on a WR group that was made up of an injured Woods, Watkins, and an oft injured Goodwin who was doing Olympic trials. The likes of Hankerson, Little, Salas, Tate, etc etc... have never proven to be NFL quality, I was hopeful that Little could put it all together but that never happened. (I still would like him here over some of the other options. Some other things that didn't involve the football gods, puff daddy's inability to put down the weed and his lack of commitment to stay in shape. I have to think he cost us a game already if not more. Blanton at safety tommorrow over Rambo is going to be fun as well. Whaley and company made some good moves with Lorax and ZBrown but the lack of forward thinking on some obvious player personnel decisions leaves a lot to be desired. -
We are going to so get rolled on Sunday...

Fireball at my house come on over. -
I know I know, suck matchup. Anyone have any fantasy implications? Big game for me I'm playing ARob and Delanie going against Murray. Also hoping the Jags roll them I took the 3 points.

Probably has correlation with the low YAC numbers. Catching is easy when your stationary.

I think he tried to be cute to avoid using an injured Shady and got all befuddled even when the game was still in hand. The read option went for a TD, did we see it again? Mike G. seemed able to find space but they never gave him a chance to get going. Spotty carries and some sloppy wildcat look. It was one of the games that even while we had a two score lead you could see the L from a mile away.

Bills elevate WR Ed Eagan to active roster

They must be trying to confuse Brady with this Eddie Eagan kid. Maybe he will start throwing to the Bills. -

I wanted Tyler Boyd in the 2nd. Also wanted Boldin as FA. Sammy's surgery was before the draft, Percy was retiring, the WR position wasn't addressed. Injuries are not an excuse when Sammy already had a pre existing injury and Goodwin has showed time and time again he can't stay healthy. It should surprise no one that we are short on WR's. Woods was also coming off surgery I think? The only move that was made was to draft another injured wideout in the sixth. Bringing in Little, Hankerson and the other handful of retreads was fruitless. -

Biggest Surprise and Biggest Disappointment
CommonCents replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For me it's how well Alexander has played, his timing, attention level is always to the max. If some of our more talented players had his desire and awareness we would be in better shape. Disappointment has to be Watkins. As soon as the surgery was announced I was concerned about the recovery but month after month and Instagram pic after Twitter pic we were told how well he is doing. Playing pick up hoops before the season etc. Will he ever be the player we drafted him to be? Dareus should be taking this spot but he is my off my radar, I hope him and Brady collide and both end their seasons....but I'm sure he will be on the bench in street clothes just chilling. -
Tough to make that case to Badol, who very clearly went over the production Rex has gotten out of journeymen defenders long before the season started. He was on point 100% with that take and the draft picks also fall in line with what was being said.

Did they run anymore read option after TT gashed Miami for the touchdown? I don't remember them doing it. -
I'm not sure woods gets into that 8-9 million range, he has off battled injuries and unless he makes a return and compiles some numbers in the next 9 games that will affect his FA value. Everyone will point to Marvin Jones's deal, he also battled some injuries but flashed as a better downfield threat than Woods. His deal would probably be closer to Sanu's.

Fire!!! So the Bills can't beat them unless they all crash and die and then that would somehow be glorious!? Our guys get paid the same way that theirs do, how about they act like it and give a solid team effort and see how it ends up.

He went vegan a few years ago, never was he same RB after it. Many other factors could have played into it but I think everyone should have a nice fat burger now and then.
