Too early to tell. He has only completed 3 passes of 30 or more yards and is under 50 percent completion over 10 yards. Ugly stats, I'm sure with an improved oline and a few additions outside those numbers will improve. I like what I see.

Is that what I said? I said it was a pick a fan like me would make and it didn't surprise me one bit. Could he surpass Dak and anyone else that emerges from that draft class? Sure, we are all hoping for it. Have you read how raw his fundamentals are and how bad his footwork is? Did you see any of it for yourself in preseason? He has a long way to go and I'd have a hard time trusting anyone in Buffalo grooming a QB right now.

Big arm, flashy title run. He was a joy to watch and easy to fall in love with over that short span. Fast forward...a year later he is a misfit at OS and does little to further his career/expectations but our GM also must have fallen in love the previous year.

No one said it's easy. It's his job and he gets paid very well to do it, if he don't figure it out he won't have a job it's that simple. You need a capable QB to take the next step, stop whining to the press about purgatory and find one. They have been available, that was my point and you know that. Jacoby is getting a lot of love from inside Patriot Place and I'm going to trust their judgement on a QB. Seems they are poised to move on from Jimmy G. some talk of him being soft which came from Ben Volin who is a Pats reporter. You can say it's a reach but they value things that our organization has ignored for to long. Find a quaterback that understands the game and can process it, the most frustrating part of TT is his inability to adjust plays and protection. That's why I rail on Whaley and his efforts at QB, I don't even think they scout QB's correctly. Heck I wanted Cardale after his National Championship run but he didn't declare, I was still glad we drafted him. You know why? Because I'm a fan and I'm blinded by the excitement a player creates and ignore his most obvious flaws for sake of enjoying the moment. I have said it plenty of times Whaley makes a lot of decisions as if he was one of us fans and not a GM. Sorry I expect more from the leader of an organization than an average TBD poster.

Doug hasn't shown an ability to recognize a QB and that will be his downfall unless it changes quickly. From the EJ pick until this day the position has been bungled. What are his answers when the Pegula's ask what scouting report did you have on Dak? Carr? Heck even Brisset seems to have a higher upside than any QB roaming around in Buffalo. For a team so desperate at QB he has passed on some talented ones which were readily available when we were on the board. Pubically cry about being in "purgatory" because your not bad enough to get good then promptly pass on another starting QB.

Jairus Byrd Benched in New Orleans

He is playing really well in Atlanta I think they run a ZBS. -
That Matt Cassel trade was pretty sweet!

Who is this bozo? A goalie? Has he fought anyone on the ice? He comes off as fake with that stare.

They both suck. Tyrod is playing with the best rushing attack in football for two years running...what would our record be if he could make adjustments presnap and get us into a better play? What would our record be if he could make the simple passes that breed long scoring drives? Tebow should have thrown the ball righty, I'm not going to waste time breaking down that Broncos team. Both of these QB's are ones that you win games in spite of not because of, so team record is totally worthless here.

The "Vote on firing Rex" poll
CommonCents replied to 8-8 Forever?'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A small amount of folks like Rex. A fair amount can't stomach another rebuild. Another section of fans wants the whole thing fixed and are not going to be happy with Rex taking the fall for the dysfunction at OBD. 60 percent sounds about right. How much would that change if Brandon and Whaley were to be fired with Rex? That would change me to a yes. -

Shaq Lawson - let's do this

Deion Jones, Keanu Neal would have been a perfect use of the top two picks. Hire whoever is GM in ATL -
That's what it is, who wants to see Rex go and the rest of the FO remain intact? That is my biggest fear, the Pegula's could restart this whole thing and leave the same problems in place. Leave it be or burn it down when your ready.

PFW: Tom Coughlin the favorite to replace Rex Ryan
CommonCents replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I assume any organization willing to hire Coughlin is going to want him to bring his successor with him. Who does Tom still have available? A few of his guys are now successful at either HC or DC I'm not sure who's left. -

No wonder the players are begging the FO to keep Rex, they are in for a rude awakening if this happens. -

Scathing Review of Doug Whaley - Buffalo News
CommonCents replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If that's the case they should get along well with Doug. -
What Sammy Actually Meant : Sunday was a great win and I'm looking forward to playing a tough Dolphins team. Q: are you worried about your lack of targets? A: I just want to win and I'm doing everything I can to help my team do that. I'm going to keep working hard and the ball will come way, let's go get that W vs. Miami. Probably wouldn't be nearly as dramatic as his usual cryptic remarks.

Rex was told he's being dismissed
CommonCents replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He destroyed the D... Did a declining Mario Williams play any part in that? How about the out of shape and disinterested Mr. Big Puff? What about oft injured AWil missing the majority of two seasons and seemingly no one else in the secondary speaks the same language as the others? Sure some of this is on Rex and he has been more bluster than anything else but to say he destroyed the defense is misleading. JS ran a simple, aggressive scheme that allowed the front 4 to eat. That same front 4 is not as formidable as it was in 14, revert back to that same scheme and the results wouldn't be as good. -
Rex was told he's being dismissed
CommonCents replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hah, a shame you guys couldn't get together on Sunday afternoons! I heard that's a really good time to make an impression on the owner. -
The whole thing is a joke. Keep Whaley and Rex tied together for another year or cut bait with both of them. Neither one of them have done anything to earn a chance at being apart from eachother. They both have made enough mistakes to warrant being fired, Whaley nor Rex have do anything exceptional which would seat one above the other. Right now you have two clowns pointing at each other, if your too chicken **** to fire both of them, keep them and let them sort it out or once it's so bad then you won't be afraid to do what needs to be done. The idea Whaley deserves another chance over another HC is laughtastic.

Anyone tried OA yet? I'm about halfway through, it's nuts but I like it.
