Like a Phoenix from the ashes, CJ Spiller on the Chiefs

Can we nickname that space you talk of? I say we call it the waiver wire. -
A closer look into Tyrod Taylor's 2016 season

If that's what you derived from his commentary you should watch it again. He was more than fair in his breakdowns and complimented the opposition on multiple occasions. This wasn't a bash video. -
Gunner's FINAL Mock 2017 - v.3.0 now posted (see page 4)!

Good stuff. I don't see Cook getting past the panthers though. -
Who do you want to start at QB for the Bills in 2017?

Mike Glennon will throw more touchdowns than TT in 2017. -
NBA Player Cousins Headed to NBA Team in New Orleans
CommonCents replied to Gugny's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Nets are horrible and the Celts get at worst 3rd overall again. The Brooklyn trade afforded Ainge the luxury to be patient because they are essentially tanking while Stevens grooms the young kids. Obviously he has to combine some of his picks at some point but I don't think its a failure if he fails to land Butler. Sure, it could fail down the road if they screw up the Nets picks. I can agree with that. -

I was all for Cousins, I love Butler... I just don't want to see Ainge finally make a splash and the splash is over paying for Jimmy Butler. Sounds like Chicago wants a real victory in this deal. Any combination of Smart/Crowder/17 nets pick/ Brown etc. that's too much. So then the ammo is low and your best big man is Horford (who sucks on the boards now) and you need more than luck to beat the top 4 in the west and Cavs. Heck, I felt the same way when the Cavs traded Wiggins for Love. It's just to much IDC if they got lucky last year and won one. -

It's obvious they didn't value Cousins because of his temperament. He would have been a perfect fit on the court, better than Butler IMO. They needed a big man and with his talent the only explanation is that Ainge/Stevens/Wyc didn't want any part of him because the Kings return was the equivalent of Avery Bradley and a lower tier 1st rounder. I personally disliked the Horford signing. If that money was available the Celts had the ammunition to get Butler and Cousins. Thomas/Smart/Butler/Crowder/Cousins that would have made Lebron's path a bit tougher. They would have had to dump Bradley, Brown, Rozier and the picks but that is a lineup you sell out for. You think the Celts should pay a ransom for Butler? Then matchup their 5 against the Cavs or GS and it's still weak. -
Jon Robinson is another solid draft away from getting a lot of attention.

NBA Player Cousins Headed to NBA Team in New Orleans

Is that true? Hmm. He has two more years of Brooklyn picks (best odds at number one overall this year) and a rookie in Jalen Brown who was drafted 3rd overall last season. With the Warriors making their run and Lebron still at the top of his game wouldn't it make some level of sense to slow play his stacked hand? Brooklyn will suck again next year... He is trying to win championships not finish the runner up. I want Butler but even if they get him they are still huge dogs to GS/Lebron. I'm starting to think using the high picks is a good move. -
Dolphins trade for Julius Thomas
CommonCents replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's a good move for Thomas. Gase must feel that he can get him back to being a productive player. Two 7ths and you land a threat like Thomas and reunite him with his old OC? Not bad. -
The failure took place when the day the trade was made. Whaley got loosey goosey with high value picks and traded up for a WR in what looks to be the most talented WR draft class in the history of the sport. The move in itself was fundamentally flawed and Sammy's injuries have only magnified the mistake. Positional players often flame out for one reason or another, it makes zero sense to trade up for one when the price is so steep. Whaley would be making another mistake by going WR at 10 this year. He made no substantial additions at WR last year when all evidence pointed to a murky recovery period for Watkins. By the start of the 17' season Watkins should be back on track with the foot, if the history of WR's stays true. Find a complementary piece to go opposite Watkins and spend that first rounder elsewhere.

Half the fan base buys the baloney right along with the Pegulas. Look at them all putting Mike Williams and Corey Davis on their boards at 10. Hey wait a minute!! You already invested multiple 1st's and a mid round pick on your "superstar" WR, your telling me he isn't good enough that Whaley can just add a complementary side kick?! Another often downplayed failure.

the Buffalo News has reached an all time low point
CommonCents replied to Niagara Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Probably easier to be critical of the BN than it is to accept the failures of OBD. A 2017 Reggie Bush article should read " Why Doug Why?" -
Has to be ESPN in general. I flipped it on this morning while I was prepping a sauce. I started on ESPN and it was all about athletes being able to voice their politics. I flipped to ESPN2 and it was a special on Chris Jackson (Muhhhed Abdul Rauf) spell check. I can't get a recap on the zillion Saturday NCAA games? I need to hear your ****!? No way.

Kirk Cousins wants out of Washington

Flacco should have never lobbed that interception to end that game though, fair point. -
Bills are at Clemson this morning

Watson in Buffalo is < Tyrod. No thanks. Mediocre arm, accuracy issues and takes a ton of hits. Less explosive with his legs than TT and not enough arm talent to warrant a selection. Get this guy off the board ASAP. -
Simply awesome moment with the tribute to Craig Sager.

I think Patton is on Netflix. I will check it out this weekend.
