  1. Instead of listing each individual tag/cut/signing in a new thread maybe we can accumulate a list of moves here. Pats are not going to use the tag on Hightower. Peterson and Charles got cut today. A bunch of high profile moves happening already, should create some interesting discussions/possibilities league wide.
  2. Would the pro Gilmore guys like paying Bouye a similar contract? It looks like he is on his way out of Houston and we be more than an adequate replacement.
  3. The way I read the ownership/gm situation is that the Pegula's took some culpability in the Rex Ryan hire. That's the only way it makes any sense to keep Whaley on with the transition to a new staff and his mixed results. Scary enough, if that is true Whaley is in a position of power compared to pre-Rex.
  4. Nothing wrong with him maximizing his $ but this could very well blow up in his face. If he is smart he gets a deal done prior to camp, is he still able to negotiate with the team under the exclusive tag? I don't ever remember a mediocre QB playing hardball with an organization quite like this. 43 million over two years is a victory but would anyone be surprised if Cousins has a bad season?
  5. Is this guy a douche? Why is he always in the headlines? What kind of contract is he expecting and what is Washington offering? It must suck to be held hostage by a Matt Hassleback clone.
  6. No tag for Gilmore or Bouye yet.
  7. Highest paid safety in the NFL is about the same pay grade as an NBA slouch. Antonio Brown (highest paid WR) 5 years 73 million, Timofey Mozgov 4 years 64 million. He plays 20 minutes a night! NFLPA is weak.
  8. Whaley found a way to convince everyone that his draft board looked like this heading into the war room 1.Lawson 2. Ragland Both those players also happened to play at positions of NEED. What a lucky draft. Right.
  9. Such and such made the Pro Bowl. As a 152938 alternate.
  10. Not for nothing Dan Quinn has to take that blame. He is on the headset and is ultimately responsible for game management. Sure, Kyle S. seems like a head case who would try and run it up on BB but the HC is a jackass for letting it get to that point. He says run the ball, then KS is calling in some running plays that were averaging 6.8 YPC.
  11. Right. I think Jacksonville was the first team to red flag him at the combine. Whaley continued to assure fans that Lawson was fine to play after the selection was made. From a far it looks like Lawson made a wise decision to hold off on the surgery because he slotted nicely for a guy with his talent level and a bum shoulder.
  12. Kenneth Dixon is going to be more than fine in Baltimore. He got healthy at the end of last season and looked like a beast.
  13. I agree with all that. In the offseason I badgered Clemson for not taking care of the shoulder. Looking back at it though, I'm sure Lawson is fine with playing through it and getting drafted where he did.
  14. Right, which is exactly what Badol said and the Noles fan disagreed. The knee was the lead into the NCG not the shoulder. I know the history with the shoulder.
  15. http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-alabama-clemson-notes-20160110-story,amp.html It was most certainly his knee, he wore a brace etc. and it was one of the bigger stories heading into the game. He hurt it in the previous game.
  16. If it's true hopefully it won't deter them from drafting a QB. That is my main concern with the TT dilemma.
  17. I don't like Shady but if coach McD feels the need to cut this guy because of the reasons you listed above he is going to HATE those guys lining up on defense.
  18. I meant Lousiville was -10. Easy money. The spread was way to high.
  19. Pegula's fire Whaley two weeks before the draft. They scan through all the TBD mock draft and player evals and draft accordingly. JFH will announce each pick and assure us that all guys drafted are NFL players. The streak ends!!!
  20. I like 99 percent of your takes but you have your head so far up your ass on this one. Twisting and turning in the wind on this one for no reason. It's similar to the folks that suggest puff daddy should get moved. The contracts don't allow much room for flexibility here, the Bills are prone to having "Look we are still stupid moments, everyone look at us" but this one belongs in the aliens underwater thread.
  21. Cuse is -10 today against the birds. That spread is wacked. Look out for a whooping. To much easy money will be riding on Cuse after that big win against Duke.
  22. And there is not one person on here that could cover Marquise Goodwin.
  23. That's a small victory, the goons behind the mic fired the guy they payed to organize their PR. Maybe I'm not understanding the situation correctly. Is Whaley still in Charge? Do the Pegulas still want to mingle with the players? I don't think a communications guy from Philly can save us.
  24. The locker room is where it has to start, losing Kyle will hurt but recent events don't lead me to believe that the younger guys were following his lead anyways. Hughes and Puff daddy do their own thing, looks to me like they followed Mario's advice and not Kyle's. It's a rebuild/retool not a reload, Kyle is due to much money and he is on the back 9. Let him go ASAP so he can catch on with a contender for a year or two. He has been a joy to watch and one of the bigger NFL surprises.
