  1. I agree but if I was counting on a few guys to grind my way into a "successful rookie campaign" I'd go with the guys I know and the ones that have played in games. I don't think it makes it a bad move, its conservative, it's not my style either. One thing is for sure they have a plan, hopefully it works.
  2. Two of my favorite posters but I'm dumb founded by how much stock you guys are putting in this kid. It's just another solid camp and preseason performance against non NFL guys. McBeane has said it's not tanking this year and it's blatantly apparent that they are going to grind out 6-8 wins. They are smart enough to know how a 2-14, 3-13 season would send their young careers into an early tail spin. They grind out 6-8 wins and they will be praised for having it heading in the right direction going into 18' and having the ammo to get a QB. How many times do you imagine we are going to hear that in one context or another!? It's coming. I wish they would tank it or keep some younger guys and think strictly long term, but I'm a fan. Let's face it, the better move for their terms of employment is to win as much as they and as soon as they can. These developmental projects with marginal ability have no spot on this 53. Just don't ask me to explain that Vlad situation.
  3. You'd have a better chance of uniting this country than you would developing BK.
  4. College football is king!!! Just make sure you find a woman who will tolerate two straight days of football!
  5. Making a big deal over a fringe WR being cut after a good camp and preseason. What about Thompson and the other kid from last summer. They both looked fantastic and got cut and went into do nothing. Did either of them even play in an NFL game? Preseason is no time to judge WR's abilities while toasting up on scrubs.
  6. This is one of the first moves than can/will be unanimously labeled as a mistake. If they keep Ducasse I lose some of the blind faith I'm putting into McBeane. It doesn't make any sense and it's another instance of pretending to be smarter than the actual situation at hand. They have better options at RG, use them!
  7. That's what momma always said. Set the example for you and yours and you won't have time to worry about them and theirs.
  8. Welcome to life. Be good-great at something and you get the benefit of the doubt. Be mediocre-bad and you're replacement is soon behind.
  9. He risked millions of dollars by going vegan and losing the muscle mass that made him a legitimate threat as a QB. If he was good he would still be making millions. #eatbeef
  10. If Lord Peterman was making half of those throws everyone would be stoked. Oh wait a minute Peterman sucks and everyone is still stoked and Mahomes apparently sucks because well...yah know.
  11. He didn't raise all that money to hand it over to a bunch of simpletons. That money is going to be used to eradicate any Asian Carp that dare enter those waters in and around Houston.
  12. Chris Williams, Vlad Ducasse so similar in so many ways. Neither one deserved a visit nevermind a contract.
  13. No mas Ducassse. An extra S in there, for all that Suck.
  14. Yates is in a dimly lit room researching injury settlements.
  15. Tyrod Taylor is staying up all night googling "how to pass a concussion test"
  16. That's my worst fear, close enough to dump the stock pile of picks and still not get to 1 overall. I'm all for doing whatever it takes to get the QB of their choice but just lose the damn games and spare all those picks!!!
  17. Just read it on NFL.com it was one of the top headlines. I guess they have a rookie corner who is over achieving. Also made mention of my boy Carson pushing Alex Collins on the block. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000837344/article/seahawks-hearing-offers-for-lane-kearse-collins
  18. I know Kearse was mentioned in this thread I just read that the Hawks are listening to offers on Jeremy Lane. That would be the fit, if they are trying to win now of course.
  19. I don't know what the right move to make is. Taylor and Yates are both in concussion protocol and as fans we don't know the progress each are making. Should he play Peterman and get him ready for week 1 if they are both projected to be out? Should he sit him if that's the case. It's an intresting decision and once we find out more about Taylor's status we can get a feel for the new coaches aggressiveness or lack there of. Certainly Peterman needs the snaps if he has any chance of playing week 1, but do you risk that in a meaningless preseason game.
  20. It's a realistic scenario with these two guys in charge.
  21. Essentially the new guys got her and pulled a Mike Singletary "can't win with em, can't do it" Perhaps the reason the trades were made so late in the offseason is an indication that McBeane attempted to make it work. At some point they decided to go in another direction entirely. As someone who has been calling for an attitude change in the locker room it's a refreshing start. It's hard to get excited about trading away potential pieces for picks but there has been plenty of hints that the players themselves were not innocent in the Ryan clown show. An SI writer is mocking Whaley and his post draft presser, not for the picks but for the answers he gave. That says volumes. Even guys who were distanced from the team and it's doing had a feel for how much fail was going on. Clean it out. Adopt the BB no nonsense approach and hopefully start winning some games. Will the Pegula's remain patient and see this through? I think so. I think they were advised on these hires and allowing them to clean up the mess.
