If they want to beat good teams they are going to need their best players on the field and locked in. Their job is to win games, wow. They are using him like a two down run stuffing DT. He is all but out of here already. While paying him they should try to salvage some production.

That's a tough sell. The teams highest paid player is on the field for about half of the defensive snaps and not playing on 3rd down. With a guy like MD I'm not sure that's a good approach to keep/get him engaged.

Exactly right. A QB with blinders on who is unable to make adjustments at the line. A QB whom the OC has to Taylor his play calls towards. A few nice plays with his legs and a bunch of mehhh.

The Jets were better last year and Rex and the Bills players never meshed. It's no surprise that a more disciplined defense was able to put the shackles on JM and Robby Anderson.

That's accurate. Hughes is the only speed rusher the Bills have and his sack numbers or lack there of are due to the extra attention he is getting. Shaq would really need to step it up if they are ever going to consistently push pockets with four guys. I haven't seen it from him as of yet.

Rex would have been attacking and confusing a young quarterback more than we saw yesterday. The new guys have more of a do your job, tackle what's infront of you and let the drive stall due to the offenses own weaknesses. Both approaches work against bad teams, I'm hoping they bring a few more blitzes against the better QBs. That Poyer blitz was nice to see.

Has anyone talked about TJ Watt's performance yesterday? 2 sacks, int,mixed in with a handful of tackles. Rober detailed his measurables during the draft process and how those translated to success in the NFL. It's obviously a small sample for Watt but he looks every bit as explosive as was discussed.

I said it before the game and I will say it again, at this point it's on Watkins to play at the level his talent suggests. Davis was out today I expected bigger numbers from him. Goff looks good so that bodes well for his future. I'd like to see LA challenge those teams in the west.

What about the late round rookie Kupp? Who out produces him and plays on the same team.

Kupp is a baller. Jags D is real. Buffalo is better than the Jets. Seattle and Green Bay can't block. Lynch, Gore, Lacey are toast. Wentz>Tyrod Tre>Gilmore Bills have the benefit of playing the Jets twice early on and a disorganized panthers team. Perhaps this will give the guys time to gel and push things forward. If you're a betting man the Giants are a nice play tonight. They have the studs that can battle that Dallas online and have too many weapons for the boys to cover outside. Always said your highest paid players need to do more for the team than just play a singular position. Leadership, accountability, playing hurt, staying out of trouble, etc. I just hope they can find talented guys that can fit these positions and not go full "lunch pail" mode.

If they lose to a Colts team that is minus their best offensive and defensive players then they had no chance to do anything anyways. In fact I'd say missing Kelly, Luck, and Davis renders their roster as useless as the J E T S. maybe even more so.

Sammy being a sure thing in LA or any other city is still a hard sell. All the talent in the world but something seems off with him. It's prove it time. If Cooper Kupp is Goff's go to guy the B word will start being thrown around nationally.
