4-23: Brandon Beane on One Bills Live
CommonCents replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You made the point for me. Jerry Jones got so much flack for being hands on until things turned around. The Bills have a married couple who both want to be involved. I don’t think it’s an insult for fans to want the football guys doing the football side of things. How did you like Kim and Terry’s handling of the Rex Ryan hire? Perhaps they should have handed that decision off to someone else? They own it, they can do it! Right. That doesn’t mean it’s the recipe for success. Put up a poll I would assure you that the overwhelming majority of fans want Beane making the decisions so he sinks or floats on his own. No one wants another who’s doing what scenario playing out again in another year or so. (Except the Buffalo News) -

“Who’s got a seat at the table, who can speak” That was the direct quote. Explain to me how that excludes the Pegula’s from having a say? -
Why not? They can continue to float names and keep their pick a secret while seeing what comes in for trade offers. Even if they are comfortable selecting at one this is a smart approach. Maybe a GM/owner lose their mind and offer them a can’t say no type of package.
-
No news then? Maybe delete or change title and turn it into a food thread. I’m hungry.

Can’t really give people crap for making threads and then make a thread about Ereck Flowers.

If the Draft goes badly, you have your scapegoat

I know this thread was made as fun but count me as a guy who hopes the Pegula’s are letting Beane and the football guys make the football decisions. -

Name another team that has two owners in the draft room both of whom have a say in who gets picked. The search won’t take too long. Bring in a couple extra chairs let the kids voice their opinions too. I was hoping they would take a backseat after the Rex and Rob circus. -
Charlie is a young play making D but since coming back from injury he hasn’t been the same. Reilly, Anderson, and then Debrusk. Those three players have stood out all series. Game 7 will be fun but I’m not confident in anything but the game going over for total goals scored.

Report: Bills Unlikely to Trade Up to No. 2 - Rapoport
CommonCents replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I bet they get one of the top 4 QBs, name your terms big boy. -
Bruins are in trouble. Rick Nash suffers from NBS. (No Balls Syndrome) I don’t care how many times he gets an open shot or makes a nice looking move, evidence shows he won’t hit the shot! Bring up Donato. Pasta, Marchand need to stop attempting to be cute. Tukka you still suck. Bruce shuffle the lines please. 40 shots looks nice on the box score but your guys aren’t generating quality chances. Nice win for Toronto and their fans tonight, they deserved it and needed it. Stay strong. Anderson needs one more good game.

My Mock with realistic trade scenarios

If you feel the need to do a mock and make an individual thread about it please do better. -

Stud running backs all over this draft

I highly doubt that any of these RBs coming out can run routes like Kamara. Sony runs a bit like Kamara though. Find me the next Kamara is my new least favorite hot take. -

How long will you give our new QB?
CommonCents replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If it's Allen, Mayfield, Rosen or Darnold I will give them until halfway of 19' If they still are making sloppy mistakes and failing to call audibles then it's hunting season. If they wait on a QB and take a Rudolph, Jackson, Lauletta I will have a harder time remaining patient. -
Would 2 #1's Be More Enticing Than 2 #1's ??

FWIW you can get lines on win totals, 5 dimes has the Bills -2.5 games so 7 wins would make you money. You know what Breer meant, of course they continue grading players outside the first round. 22 isn't going to make or break a deal up to the 2nd pick. It's going to be 12, 22, 2019 1st. NFL GMs have big bucks, I'd love getting in a game of poker with them. Just pick on the weak ones. -

Or he expects his listeners to take the information and process it instead of rage because their team isn't being propped up in his message. If a team that is trading with the Bills sees them as being this years Houston and not KC how do you suppose they would value that 19th first. Bills are starting AJ, Peterman, or a rookie under a new OC. They have the 5th worst SB odds. The Bills 19 first rounder is gold, I hope they are able to keep it. Breer is one of the most connected guys and if you don't accept that just because there is 32 picks doesn't mean there is 32 players worthy of it. He is on record saying after the first 20 or so picks there is a bunch of guys who grade similarly all the way to 52. If you don't believe it that's fine but no need to bash Breer on this one. Why would he lie? He was just explaining the possible trade scenarios. He knows the Bills have the most to offer, my guess is he was using that to say the Bills won't be keeping that 19 first if they are working with the Giants. -

If it's what takes to get the deal done the of course you do it. I just wouldn't offer up the 19 first in place of 22. -

It's not only entirely possible, it's probably true. Albert Breer was just on the radio saying yesterday that the Bills 12th pick has good value in a trade up but 22 is viewed the same as 52 by many teams this year. He said he has talked to someone from every organization by now and the majority of teams only have 20 players graded as first rounders. Offering the 19' 1st rounder instead of parting with 22 would be foolish from a Bills perspective but it may help get the deal done. -
No one holds their child up like he has just found Simba. No one brings a framed portrait of their grandmother. Dallas fans will boooo Giants pick. Rosen will be the last of the big 4 selected. Patriots will trade up if they have a shot at Allen. Bills get Allen at 5. Sorry BB. Patriots draft Luke Faulk

Jets -1.5, easy pick tonight.

Vegas loving the Bucks tonight, staying away from this one.
