Dareus didn’t do much in Jacksonville look at his snap counts. The Jags early season YPA numbers were skewed by a stoooopid play where they didn’t tag a runner that fell down and he ran for 80+. IIRC Jags took another dlineman high. When they drafted him the pundits had a graphic for the dline and 99 wasn’t even included.

The majority of players are on something let’s hope Zay is smart enough to keep from failing a test. If we could pick a game day status for this scenario I’d go with doubtful.

I don’t get what people aren’t seeing. There is one play where he rolls to his right with a defender coming right in his face, he flicks a high lob 35 yards down field right into his TE for a touchdown. If he threw it any other way it was a pick or incompletion. Zero hesitation, it comes natural to this kid. Sure he has things to work, don’t they all.

Simple really. He improved his mechanics between the end of his season and the combine, atleast that is what has been said. I think fans that are down on Allen will quickly be impressed by how natural of a thrower he is. We haven’t seen that around these parts in awhile. Learning the pro game will take time but he seems dedicated towards the craft so camp and preseason will be fun. It’s a good situation, someone needs to push AJ. If Allen is taking this as serious as all his interviews indicate I’d put money on him beating out AJ. Playing half speed in preseason games is going to allow him to shine early on in the process and AJ won’t last long after that. Just my feelings on it.

Maybe you misread what I wrote, I’m not sure that your response addressed the actual point. Lazy is a deal breaker for these guys.

St. Brown, Harold Landry both showed inconsistent effort at times during their college careers. It was widely noted on scouting reports and both players dropped quite a bit in the draft. Beane and McD won’t be drafting a single player with those words attached, just my guess.

I read an article that said Lauletta struggles throwing the ball 40-45 yards. If true, that’s sad.
