Fat and lazy was more of a reference to fat wallet, and lazy as in wont work for the team "USA". It doesnt benefit them in a financial way, so why give a crap. I mispoke in a hurried fashion, and you corrected me. Obviously, the pix you posted are of star athletes. But when was the last time Team USA won a world title in the big 3 international (olympic) sports of baseball, hockey, and Basketball. I dont even remember. Maybe basketball 12 years ago? I realize we are talking about Soccer. A sport not many people really care about. But I wouldnt say we dominate at the other sports either, like you did. I just would like to see a USA team that played with heart and guts. I dont think that is too much to ask...

I agree. I think i will start calling Phil "Tin Cup". All you need to do is make par, to win-bogey for playoff. Your driver has sucked all day long (only 2 fairways hit), why do you use it on 18. Yesterday, the 4 wood was great down the stretch and today he never used it. What a total choke under pressure... For the record, I am a huge phil fan, but he deserved to lose for his stupid play all day. He was definetly Van de Velde'ish on the 18th....

all the whining and diving aside, I think alot of blame on our performance thus far goes to the Coach. Arenas did not have us ready to play against Czech Republic, and that game yesterday cemented it. How can you not use your last sub in a game when every player on the field is dog-ass tired? We had guys standing in place and not moving. Use the sub with 10 mins left and at least try. Dont just quit. That is what got Wade ran out town.... Also his fault was not telling the team to NOT foul. At half-time, you make it quite clear to not challenge the ball, and not to foul. Especially when we were up a man. Instead we come out to start the second half and take 2 stupid red cards on weak challenges in the mid field. I think it is time the USA goes after a world class coach. Arenas did his job and got us to respectability in the last 12 years, but now we need to get to the top. I dont think he can get us there.

I totally agree. The concept of winning or losing as a UNIT is what seperates NFL teams. Does anyone really think the Patriots were good enough to win 3 out of 4? Not really. But there was no doubt they were the better TEAM....

When we came back last year, Old Fort Niagara was a huge hit. We loved it. It gave the kids some visuals that life was not always Nintendo's and DVD'd and PC games... Also enjoyed walking through the woods at Iroquois Wildlife Preserve. The Swallow Hallow trail should be open by now. It was closed last year for repairs...My kids are city kids, raised in the desert, and no idea what a walk through the woods in the fall meant. They collected some maple leafs, some acorns, and some chestnuts... And on a slightly different note, the cemetary in Albion is absolutely beautiful place to visit. There is tower to climb that has been restored. definetly gave the family a sense of history. Some graves as far back as mid 1800's (there may have been older ones, but we didnt walk around alot, just by the tower...)

yeah, they've only have about 10 different guys go over a 1000 yards a season in the last 10 seasons. If you ever their offensive line, they are positively svelt. Average size about 295, and they can all move. One of the biggest misconceptions in the NFL is that you need a mauler type to have an effective run game blocker. You dont need to pancake anybody in the NFL. All you have to do is keep your guy occupied for about 2 seconds. I dont care if you tell him a story. Just keep him busy for 2 seconds and then the RB is long gone....

not to sound like i am bragging, but i will, 40 years old, married, 2 teenagers, and I have them all well trained. I do what i want, when I want when it comes to football. They dont argue, or comment. I will be watching the draft on my big screeen while the family will most likely be laying on our bed watching tv in the bedroom... The Kids used to ask me if a friend could come over on Sunday's, until they were about 6. Then it was, "Dad, can i go to a friends house?" And my response was, Only if you can walk there and back". They are embarrased by me i think . No self respecting Neanderthal gives in when it comes to football.

I just watched some of the videos, and I would rather have Bunkley than Ngata. Bunkley seams much quicker, and appeared to play with more passion than Ngata. Ngata is more careful it looked like. Some of the plays in his package showed him making plays when he was unblocked. In Bunkley's, he was almost always blowing someone up and makng a play in the backfield...

That was one of the hardest hits i have ever seen. That dude was ROCKED!!! Maybe he will be back, but I doubt it. I know he is a hockey player, but that was a brutal check... I came up off the sofa for that one. That was one of those things they will show for a while when they do the Playoff Hockey Promo's...
