They didn't like Hamler that much. Or at least they didn't want him in the roster week 1 and needed a warm body to get them through.

Just remember, you didn't see Fred until he was 26-27 years old. Gore is 22. I dont know that he's got 4-5 years to marinate and bounce around the USFL which is the modern equivalent of what Fred did in Europe. This is why I say if he has the heart. Fred would not be denied. Gore has a hard road no matter what.

I don't care for Evans because he's constantly dancing and giving the jab step trying to break a run long rather than taking what's there. Yes he's faster and quicker, I just don't care for the running style because it doesn't translate when the speed of the game turns up in the regular season. He's a 4A guy like Jonathan for me.

He will hit the hole that's there and go north and south. There is value to that but he needs to hone the rest of his game. Fred Jackson will always be the comparison. Not big, not fast, not shifty. RAS would have hated him. Played super hard and gave you everything he had and did his job. It took him a LONG time to get a shot though. That's Gore's path of he's going to make it because he can't really change the physical gifts, or lack of.

Just about every team has a fringe RB that fans didn't want to cut. Most of them go to the PS. They rarely work out. It does happen, but it's rare. Evans is a former 3rd round pick who was also productive and has better physical skills and can return kicks. I don't care for his running style personally, but if a team were shopping for a RB today, Evans probably gets claimed first.

NFL cuts, trades, and roster activity

It's not about the player, it's about the money attached to the player. In 1985 that trade never happens, and if it does it's for more. -

64 catches in 3 years. I guess we will know how much Brady thinks of him soon. -
Jonathan is a player who will hover around the bottom of a roster until he gets tired of doing it. He's the equivalent of a AAAA baseball player. Too good for AAA, not quite good enough to stick in the majors but good enough to play occasionally and occasionally do a little something. Always a guy you're trying to upgrade from though.

He has the Fred Jackson path. He's not special in any measurable way. Does he have Fred's heart is the question. That, and can he learn to pass block?

Always need to respect Tommy Doyle. Finished a game on a torn ACL because the team needed him to. That earns him a lot of leash and time to recover for me.

I'm certainly not going back to rewatch PS games but I'm fairly sure he took a couple penalties as well.

Bob got out of here as fast as he could. Why do we think he wants to come back? He and Gilmore. Same deal. -

Yeah, you missed the joke dude. The joke was that Rodgers is too old for it to be early onset anymore. It's just dementia. If you need me to also acknowledge that Rodgers isn't really over the age of 65 I don't really know what else to say to you. His name is Anthony Gray -
I do this sort of thing with my friends all the time. So fun. We were doing it with college football one time and none of us could remember the name of the QB for BYU who won the national title in 1984. I woke up in the middle of the night with the name, wrote it on my hand, and went back to sleep. Anybody got it without cheating? Also, random NBA guy. Kelly Tripucka

Ulofoshio played today. He can't go on PUP. Milano has to go on the 53 before they put him on IR or he's out for the whole year. There will be some conversations had with people but the risk is still there that they get claimed. Vested veterans (played who have played 4 full years) ar enot subject to waivers and become UFAs immediately when they are released. This is important to understand because players like Andreessen and Ulofoshio are not vested and can be claimed by other teams if cut. Deion Jones IS vested and cannot be claimed. He would immediately be an UFA and have to agree to go to a different team and couldn't be made to go against his will. What that means is that if there is a numbers crunch the Bills can speak to Jones and tell him he will be resigned the following day and to stick around and if Jones wanted to stay he 100% could. If they try that will unvested players there is a risk the team can lose them no matter what via a waiver claim. -
I don't go to the movies much as the wife and I have very different tastes in film. This means most of the movies I watch are at home via streaming service at odd hours of morning in the summertime. As a result, I'm very behind a lot of the time. I am pretty interested in the new Alien movie though. I've enjoyed most of that franchise and it looks like they are getting back to its roots with the new film. There is ZERO chance that the wife will watch that at all so I either go by myself like a middle aged serial killer, or I wait until next summer to watch it. 🤣
