Fear The Walking Dead
That's No Moon replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in Off the Wall Archives
This actually. We've seen that the dead still do decompose. After the initial crush of millions of dead I wouldn't think that there would be enough living to support a continual flow of new dead to make things like massive hordes. Winter dead freeze, desert dead would almost certainly be desiccated quickly, swampy dead grow things and fall apart. Things like floods, tornados, wildfires, and hurricanes are still happening and with no ability or instinct to seek shelter you lose plenty there. You'd see predation from things like mountain lions, bears, and alligators. We are multiple years into this process at this point. There shouldn't be many dead left at all and yet. -
The NFL's Top Remaining Free Agents

I will remind you all that Nathan Peterman still receives paychecks to be an NFL QB, as does Davis Webb and Alex Tanney and a host of other terrible players none of whom could hold Colin Kaepernick' jock. -
Bills finally give out #32 again, after 42 years
That's No Moon replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah but this is what you need if you ever want to put that number back into the mix. Slap it on somebody nobody gives a damn about, let people see it on the field for a little while and get over the oddness of it, cut the guy then 32 is a more real option for the next guy. I'm 41 years old, I've never seen anyone wear #32. It will be odd the first time, then it will be fine. -

Google Maps says 575 hours. That doesn't count sleeping or anything else and I'm sure you need to add on a significant amount of detour time for apocalypse related shenanigans. If you triple the amount of time it takes you to actually walk to account for those factors, walking 8 hours a day it will take you a little over 215 days. -

Drugs, gambling debt, both... -
I was wondering why they'd take on this kid and not Kelly, then I got to the part of the 2016 article that referenced the ministry he'd started and it made sense. Not to me mind you, but to the people who make such decisions at OBD. McDermott is on the Andy Reid tree and Reid spouts this BS (IMO) also culture, culture, faith, blah, blah, blah. Then you look at the turds Reid has enabled over the years and the hot mess his own kids are/were and I start to look at it skeptically. Frankly, I'm skeptical of most people who clothe themselves in religion as a methodology to cleanse themselves. This Pike kid started a ministry? Dude, get your own house in order.

Downhill par 3 at my local course. It's listed as 114 yds but it's severely downhill to a green you can only see half of that has a ridge running through the middle of it. Thick grass and a swale in front of the green, drops off sharply off the back with very little fringe and rough before hand, trees and OB beyond the slope off the back. If you hit the ridge the ball will bounce over, if you hit it short you won't get a bounce up, if you hit it long at all it carries or bounces over and usually goes OB. Anyway, it's dinky little hole but the green is difficult enough that it's hard to hit a shot with enough spin to stop but also not fly over the back. It usually ends up as a choked down 56 degree wedge for me and it still rolls at least into the fringe at least half the time. So I hit my first ball a little too hard and it sails into the trees OB. Tee up another ball and land it on the correct side of the ridge and watch it roll down into the hole. My best par of all time.

Funny, the closest I've ever been to getting into a fight at an event personally was with a drunken a-hole at a Dave Matthews concert of all places. A drunken a-hole doesn't care about the venue, all he knows is he's a drunken a-hole. The biggest single non-Bills game jackass I had to deal with was a drunken a-hole on Opening Day in Three Rivers Stadium who spent 4 innings of a Pirates/Braves game spewing the vilest venom on Earth at Curtis Pride (RF for the Braves) before I informed the gentleman that Curtis Pride is deaf (which he actually is) and couldn't hear him anyway. I can verify this.

Let's see.... Pittsburgh for football, baseball, and hockey (Three Riversx2, PNC, and the Igloo) Philadelphia for football, baseball and hockey (The Vetx2, The Linc, Citizens Bank, The Spectrum and Wells Fargo Ctr) Penn State football and hockey Toronto baseball Detroit baseball Los Angeles baseball Anaheim baseball Atlanta baseball, football, basketball (Fulton Cty Stadium, GA dome, Omni) GA Tech football and basketball Georgia Football Washington baseball Phoenix basketball San Francisco baseball (Candlestick and AT&T) Baltimore baseball Tampa hockey Is that a long enough list? Never saw stuff that I've seen at Bills games. Never. Have there been drunken a-holes. Yup. Have there been some fights? Yup. Nothing approaching the frequency and intensity of stuff I've seen both inside and outside New Era Field. Maybe that's because I've been there the most of any of those other places and I happened to catch them all on a good day but for all the crap Philly takes I've seen way worse behavior in Buffalo and I've been to a bunch of Philly events over the years.

Cool, spoken like a true moron with an axe to grind. If you were a moron in the bus lot then yes I guess I meant you. if you were just a person riding a bus, well then I guess I wasn't referring to you was I though with your response I somewhat doubt it. When people REPEATEDLY act they way they have acted for a period of years this is the inevitable outcome. I'm an out of towner too. I pay plenty extra to attend a game and it's a heluva lot more than the shared cost of a bus ride. I was a season ticket holder up until 1994 and the attitude towards extreme drunkenness was lax even then. I brought some friends to a pre-season game as a 17 year old kid and one of my buddies got could not stand up drunk at a tailgate party. He was 17 years old and obviously 17 years old. We got into the stadium with him, walked past a phalanx of cops and stadium personnel and nobody did squat. The guys sitting around me in the stadium were ALL season ticket holders and they would each sneak about a 12 pack of beer into the stadium inside their coats every single game. Sneak is a strong term because nobody cared. My father tells stories of when the stadium opened people buying a seat for the keg and carrying it in. Speaking of no perspective. Go to a game somewhere else and see how tailgating is treated there. Buffalo is essentially the Wild West in the parking lots. Now the bus folks have to bring their own food and bev to a special area. Well guess what, that pretty much eliminates putting some kegs and a full bar on the bus doesn't it. Be prepared to show some ID for that beer you're carrying in as well.

Let's say you have a 60 passenger bus, they will charge you $100 for a parking pass and no tailgating. That's $6 a head to park. If you want to tailgate it becomes $15 a head. So you're really only paying an additional $9. How much value do you expect for $9??? Even if I'm interpreting that incorrectly and they are charging an additional $15 per person to tailgate, fine, what precisely do you expect for $15? You know what most of that $15 will go toward? Additional security for the tailgating area. Every bit of that security is warranted based on repeated past behavior by drunken morons. I have no sympathy whatsoever for the idiots in the bus lot, they brought this on themselves. Everyone else that tailgates? Consider this a shot fired across your collective bows. There are plenty of places that restrict tailgating activity to specific parking lots.

AAA baseball has changed a lot in the 30 years since Pilot Field opened. Lots of top prospects skip the level entirely and those who do play AAA ball tend to not play there very long. In that way it matters less about the quality of the farm system and more on the quality of the non-prospect roster players and fringe MLB pitchers at the AAA level. For better or worse, the AAA is the least relevant level to the parent club now.

Ravioli, 3 kinds of italian sausage, spiral cut honey baked ham, leg of lamb, braciole, potato salad, peas with pancetta, cheese bread, cheese pie. And for the record I have seen butter lambs in Philly but they are way harder to find than in WNY.
