It's not about being comfortable necessarily. The Rams have a better football team than we do, they have a more heralded coach, and just because a guy is from the sticks, went to school in WVA and played in Nashville doesn't mean that the he wouldn't LIKE the opportunity to move to California if it presented itself. I'm from WNY, I've lived in Southeastern PA for 20+ years now and I'd move to Arizona tomorrow given the opportunity. I really like it there, particularly the Flagstaff area. There is no obvious connection that anyone could see looking at my bio but if I had professional opportunities in WNY or Flagstaff and I had to choose one, WNY would have to pay me SIGNIFICANTLY more money. These guys travel. He's been to a lot of the cities in the NFL and I'm sure he has preferences based on that at a minimum.

William Andrews. Career was shortened by injury but he was a good football player.

Unpopular Take. The Bills should trade for Rosen
That's No Moon replied to Zerovoltz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm willing to ask the price. Heck, I'm the guy who said you should take a QB in the 1st round every year until you find one because nothing else matters. You can't win without a QB, having 2 on affordable deals isn't the worst position to be in. -

UB Nate Oats leaving to go to Alabama
That's No Moon replied to Reed83HOF's topic in Off the Wall Archives
There is a difference between MAC good and Big 12/SEC good. UB had no interior game to speak of, were generally small, and extremely reliant on making shots from the outside. Texas Tech is one of the best defensive teams in the country. They shut lots of people down and if you are 1 dimensional it's easier. Recruiting to Alabama for basketball isn't easy. Lots of competition and they don't really have a strong tradition. Avery Johnson came from the NBA and couldn't get it done recruiting wise. He also doesn't have Bobby Hurley's name recognition when he's sitting in someone's living room. A rotating group of JUCO mercenaries isn't going to get it done in the SEC. You need your share of one and dones or you are toast. Welcome to the big leagues Nate. If you can't recruit from Day 1 you'll be back at a mid major in 3 years. -

If it was truly an equitable system all the players would now be able to leave on a free transfer without having to sit out but they cant. Fortunately for UB most of their players are JUCO transfers and only have 2 years of eligibility anyway. -
New Stadium Talk as of owner’s meetings
That's No Moon replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think everything you just mentioned will be in the plan. The 190 has needed to be reworked in that area for awhile anyway in terms of ingress and egress and this is as good an excuse as any. The light rail will be extended to at least the building being the arena if not further. The Perry projects will be demolished to make way for something, etc. Etc. -

I'm sure that was just UB protecting themselves with a bigger buyout. Those extensions for college coaches mean nothing. -

Advice dealing with local government
That's No Moon replied to 4BillsintheBurgh's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Well, like I said if you've pumped all that money into a public facility you have more of a claim to it but it's still not great. It sort of depends how far you want to take it. If you have documentation of everything you've spent you can bring it to open session of a town board meeting and complain about it so it at least ends up on the record. What the other club is paying for the time is public record also. I dint think that will get you action by April 7th. In terms of the school there is usually an application process. I would start by calling the District office to find out what that is then make sure you have all your paperwork completely in order. Sometimes a building principal has the authority to approve stuff, sometimes it has to go through the superintendents office, sometimes school board. It all depends what procedure they established. I would expect them to charge something for the turf field and it probably depends what status your group has if or what you charge participants and how many of the participants are district residents. I'll see if I can track down the chart for our local District to give you an idea of what I mean but start at District Office, probably the Facilities Dept. -
I don't care what Antonio Brown said to anyone. He quit on his team. Quit. Team needed to win week 17. He didn't show up for work. Period. Cut and dry. How can you trust the player again after that? I did not want him previously. I do not want him now. I would not take him in the future. I wouldn't have taken him for FREE and frankly I'm disappointed that Beane was even sniffing around his fetid aura.

Try the local school district. You're probably going to have to pay something for it and show the usual stuff like insurance and what have you. I empathize with your situation but when you say all the local board does is cut the grass that's probably not entirely accurate and, from a taxpayer point of view, if someone is willing to pay for the time that is all money that is used to offset parks and rec costs. Do you paint the lines on the field? Do you buy and string the nets? Did your organization buy the goals themselves? Is your field covered in dandelions? If not they put something on it that was far from free. Is your field actual grass or is it mostly weeds and crab grass linked together? Are there lots of bumps and divots and holes? Rolling the field isnt free. Neither is aerating is twice a year. Neither is overseeding and fertilizing and weed control. Now if they truly do none of that, and your organization was doing it for them for free that would be my argument. Otherwise?? I'm athletic director at my school and we just kicked a local football program off our campus. 2 reasons, first because they didn't follow the rules I set out for them. They were not allowed to use the soccer field at all because I didn't want it torn up (because of #2). They didn't follow that rule and I caught them multiple times. Secondly, because they weren't paying anything to help me pay for the wear and tear or damage they caused to the field in the way of filling in holes, reseeding bare spots, etc. It was costing us a ton of money to have them there and, given that they didn't follow my simple guidelines on top of that, they got the boot. If they want to come back to us, they need to pay. A lot. Up front. I'd rather my field sit empty and not be a mess for my kids who are actually entitled to use it than to give it out for free to people who tear it up. -
Supervisor discipline method backfires

There's nothing better than crop dusting a hallway during class change. -
FWIW, Isaiah Crowell is available and I like him better than Ivory anyway. He's only 26 so he might be too young, but if he doesn't have a deal by the draft he will be extraordinarily cheap to get.

I kicked caffeine 2 summers ago over summer break. My family went to the Outer Banks for a week right after school let out and I told everyone I was only drinking water and beer for the week. It worked fabulously. No withdrawal headaches and I had a great time. My blood pressure has been lower since and I'm sleeping noticeably better and more consistently.

Anderson or Dorsey would be fine in this role. I don't think Jim Bob Cooter would take that big a step back. I don't want Jordan Palmer in that role because, as others have stated, if he IS then he can only work with Allen during the specific times permitted. Since Allen still has a lot of work to do, if I think enough of Palmer that I'd offer him the job, I wouldn't hire him for that specific reason. I want him to work with Josh year-round. It seems that Palmer is on board with that plan as well and is happy with his life the way it is. Honestly, if he gets a rep as a real QB guru he can make a ton of money doing that from multiple clients. He can make his own schedule, live where he wants to live, work with people whenever he wants not when the league says, etc, etc. Lots of pluses for all sides to NOT have Jordan Palmer as the coach. What you want though is someone whose own QB philosophy aligns with Palmer's.
