  1. This will likely be a garbage game to watch and possibly in result We will likely be down both tackles and barring Kinkaid returning, our top catcher outside Shakir. The ground will have a game played on it the day prior and rain and snow are on the forecast meaning it’ll be a mud bath. Lastly due to the injuries, theres a chance we lean on Cook and the run game more to which Pittsburgh has shown a willingness to go all in on to stop like with the Colts. Steelers aren’t in a much better position, missing a tackle, Rodgers can’t go under center and DK Metcalf has an ankle injury. All in all shaping up to be a lackluster rock fight
  2. Canada was terrible in Pittsburgh so I'd want nothing to do with him.
  3. I'd call up Aiyuk and say, hey, want to rehab your image for the FA pool. Come here and help us go the distance and we'll let you go to the highest bidder in the offseason no strings attached
  4. Apparently the Patriots can do no wrong in the eyes of the refs
  5. @ Steelers W vs Bengals W @ Patriots W @ Browns W vs Eagles L vs Jets W
  6. Cook - Great Groot - Ok/Mediocre Bernard - Playing Injured now Injured Again Shakir - Fine but has been pigeon-holed into a screen guy for unknown reasons Benford - Started rough but has looked better as the season has gone on The issue isn't that they are all bad, its that they are making above average money and all but Cook have been average at best
  7. however he was mainly doing so in the game. He gets greedy against bad defenses, but he respected this one and was willing to nickel and dime. Problem was he got greedy once and got picked, his reliable guy fumbled it once and the play calls on two separate drives were dog *****
  8. Either that slipped or he expected Gilliam to go a bit deeper
  9. I’d work to renegotiate Knox again, he’s a competent backup and if you can get a cap hit under 6mil he’s very much worth it. Id start with restructures on Allen and Oliver as well as cutting Samuel after 6/1. To me restructures should go from least likely to hurt us long term to most. For instance I have no intention of cutting or trading Allen so he’s just a piggy bank. Oliver is young enough to be useful going forward and we don’t run into void years in his mid to late 30’s. Palmer and Dawkins would be next on the list if need be.
  10. Chiefs would likely butcher the Patriots if they met in the 1st round. Come playoff time they become a different animal altogether as we should know. But the Pats still have flaws to be exploited and with preparation can be disemboweled.
  11. Allen wanted Coleman because he was a large guy who could apparently catch the ball which is something he never has had.
  12. Apparently some Bills people have found some clips of Allen making decisions not to throw it to open-ish receivers. In all honesty I think Allen just doesn't trust what he sees and doesn't trust his players will make the play. I think its less to do with defensive trickery and more to do with his receivers rarely being open. This can create a situation where Allen sees a man running open and then doubts he's actually open due to its rarity. "I see Coleman open, he is rarely open, the Dolphins must be doing something I don't see"
  13. Just a crushing loss Josh definitely looks like he's struggling with the lack of tools at his disposal. Allen has always had a tendency of becoming more reckless and desperate when he senses the team struggling. You saw that clearly with his fumble; usually he wouldn't bother trying to get more yards but he sees the offense struggling and becomes less mature Allen and more crazed Allen. His interception felt like a full miscommunication, he's thinking Knox is going to stop and Knox keeps running thus making the pass go to the trailing defender. Essentially I wouldn't say this was a bad Josh game, I'd place under the category of desperate Josh making mistakes. There's a difference Defense couldn't stop the run, Cook had a tough time going anywhere and made a bad turnover of his own. When Kinkaid went down I knew the game was screwed because rarely do we have anyone step up to help Josh. Keon, I wanted you to be so good, but you've been both a waste of time and targets.
  14. Allen hasn't been MVP level but you can definitely tell he's pressing to help an offense that lacks weapons when Cook can't get going
  15. Frankly it look like Knox got shoved aside there
  16. I do believe Beane wanted to make a trade; he may not be as aggressive as what most of us may want but he has consistently made trades at the deadline over the years.
  17. Based on some of the scuttlebutt out there Bills called on Garrett Wilson, Waddle and Olave There were rumors that Calais Campbell threatened retirement to any interested trade partner Bills definitely had interest in Debo Samuel and potentially bringing Von Miller back Jets apparently were either completely or mostly unresponsive to AFC East calls I read a rumor we may have talked about Ridley as well. It feels like a failure but I do kind of understand the WR predicament. 3 possible or present #1s were available but two were divisional teams and the other seems to be unsure what they plan to do with him. Shaheed is certainly a present vertical threat but the Bills likely seen him as just a better Elijah Moore or another Palmer. Honestly I’m more disappointed by the lack of a defensive tackle/end since there shouldn’t have been anywhere near the same level of dearth of targets out there. But I have a suspicion that Harrison Phillips was the only target they had much interest in besides a Campbell. They have an exorbitant value placed on previous time played in the system which basically eliminates all but a handful of players who aren’t just practice squad guys. I definitely feel Beane had a trade in his holster based on the Johnson contract adjustment but for whatever reason it never happened
  18. I see Knox being renegotiated again; I just can't see them cutting Josh's friend and our #2 TE if the saving aren't stark. From there I'd guess they'd prioritize keeping the OL together Gilliam and Lewis strike me as depth pieces we will retain almost guaranteed Jones, Epenesa, Bosa and Ogunjobi will all be money related to if they return My guess would be Milano is a goner; a sad outcome to such a bright player who has just perpetually been injured. White, Thompson, Poyer are all in the same vet boat; retirement/vet practice squad possible. Thompson is likely the only of the 3 who'd leave Buffalo. My guess is Poyer possibly retires and White takes a vet practice squad spot. Poyer's boost from last year comes across to me as a guy who's effectively expending everything he still has so he can retire in peace.
  19. Yeah, bad move on the rookie's part or theoretically he could be purely creating something to cause the Chiefs to scour for non-existent tells and put Worthy's mind in a mixer trying to avoid any tells.
  20. Yes I could certainly see them doing that; let him sit on IR to earn a paycheck then see if he can play again or just wishes to retire
  21. It strikes me as an injury that may be akin or possibly slightly worse than Hyde’s injury years ago. And while Hyde did return, he only stuck around 2 years while dealing with a couple other related issues. McD is likely trying to convince the kid that football isn’t worth possibly getting paralyzed or worse based on an injury that may heighten the risk of disastrous injury
  22. My guess is Beane gives Bosa a number we can work with and lets him look around with the door open to a return. Then depending on what's out there he'll make a decision. If a bottom dweller offers him 25mil a year and the Bills offer 15mil; you can't be entirely blind to the money or the situation you would be in.
  23. Strangest injury I’ve personally witnessed was a kid on the opposing team to my little league baseball team. We were in the All-Star game and in what appeared to be an attempt to show off, dove at line drive redirected the ball off his head and got a concussion and a mean goose egg. Mind you, it was a ball hit straight to him. Another story I have is of an almost dire injury. Fred Jackson lived across from house while he played here and his wife divulged at the block party that he almost missed a game due to cut caused by trying to jam down trash in a bag and a can cutting his palm bad. It was prior to one of those snowed in games we had with him; so we were all snowed in. So Fred called the Bills, told them what happened and that he couldn’t escape his house by car/truck and the snow was still falling at a good pace meaning plows weren’t coming anytime soon. So the Bills got inventive apparently, scrounged up two larger snowmobiles that could fit 2 people on them and proceeded to pick up Fred, and take him to an open Urgent Care or something like that for a Tetnis shot and stitches. That Saturday to reach the airport, the Bills actually sent out snowmobiles to multiple houses to pick up players that were snowed in. I actually remember seeing the tracks and hearing them leave.
