The tush push might, but QB sneaks certainly won't. Just get the 1st; tush push until its banned

Everyone Eats when everyone comes to the table hungry. Everyone Eats fails when everyone already had snacks prior and only 1 or 2 are somewhat hungry. The food gets left at the buffet and Allen has to try and throw go-home bags of leftovers at the uninterested crowd. The perfect scenario would be a WR1 who has a similar persona as Allen, in that he puts team success over his own personal accolades. He may not put up 100 yard games with 15 targets weekly but will certainly be there when needed. Allen plays better when he can throw to anyone but still needs someone who can at least give him an outside option anytime he needs one. Shakir can be his Beasley but he needs a new less ego filled Diggs.

10/13/2025 Bills at Falcons - Post game thread

The OP was right though about Allen; he looks like a guy trying to press for results. Dahlin seems to have the same internal issue that causes mistakes to be made. A desire to win so great that you lose composure and/or effectiveness and start making mistakes due to it. For instance, I think part of his reason for bailing from the pocket lately is less due to the the OL struggling at times but more Allen trying to generate a combination of time and a change of angle. If his players can't get open he's desperate to brute force them open because they rarely strategize guys open. Without Palmer and Kinkaid, suddenly Shakir becomes the only serious threat to beat man coverage. The play prior to the game ending interception was a masterful run commanding Shakir from the front like a General. My guess is his throw was meant to either be a high ball for Coleman or he was tossing it through the endzone to avoid any chance of intentional grounding. Problem was a guy got their hand on it and made for an easy pick. Completely bewildered by Coleman's regression of late; he played great against Baltimore and even made some great catches against NYJ and Miami. But these past two or three games have been horrid. -

On Josh's flip to Ty Johnson, anyone else feel Johnson should of stayed closer to the 1st Down line? I didn't like the depth he took on that play; a 1st is vital and he's at least 5 yards further then he needs to be. I can understand the flip pass, it would of been a far harder throw on the run to not miss him wide left due to his forward momentum. -

Allen isn't allowed to sneak anymore; he's maybe done so twice all year. If Shakir doesn't tell Allen its iffy then I can't expect Allen to feel that urgency when their offense has been effectively told to play possession time versus effectiveness. -
The Upcoming Trade Deadline: 2025 Edition
thewookie1 replied to ryguy101's topic in The Stadium Wall
I can’t imagine either team trading their #1 WR away. Hendrickson would be the one who could be traded. Chase/Higgins being traded would merely jade the fans and Burrow to the team. It wouldn’t help the Bengals and would reinforce their perceived cheapness. Trading Jefferson would be kneecapping the Vikings for the next 3 to 5 years so I can’t see them doing that. -
The final play to Shakir. Samuel was wide open for easy TD
thewookie1 replied to MikePJ76's topic in The Stadium Wall
How I see it is that Allen isn't bailing to escape a clean pocket but rather escaping to reset the coverages downfield. He knows his receivers are better scrambling than straight up route running thus leans into it. Curtis Samuel was sorta, kinda open a couple times but my guess is he wasn't the WR1 and thus wasn't seen until the safety was near him and while possible; he unlikely saw anyway to gun a ball 50 yards on a rope to Samuel in the endzone. (Air under the ball would give the safety time to break on it and Samuel isn't exactly a great contested catcher.) -

I don't think that was the plan; my gues is he either wanted Palmer to catch and run out or start the pitches immediately. Instead he turtled which was strange. -

The Bills played horrible off and on through the game and then got kicked while they were down by the refs. How they don't call a PI on the Pats on that 3rd down is a travesty to the sport since they had called us for far less the entire game. We get a phantom OPI that ends up leading to INT Milano, great player but is made of glass Just a rough night all in all -

Terrible choice; his music isn't exactly universal enough to draw the non-intended audience. -

Golden's mind -
He may not articulate sentences with the grace of an English aristocrat but he seems to have at leave average IQ if not higher levels of quick thinking to that of the average man. QBs that are truly dumb rarely last more than a couple years because they can’t grasp playbooks or how to read defenses. Lamar seems like a nice guy, not someone with acting or modeling aspirations in his post career days but I could see him being a coach of some kind after he’s done running all over the field on Sundays. He has always come across as a graceful loser and winner which isn’t necessarily common and he’s the best running QB in the NFL. Josh just happens to be akin to the “Adonis” of football men’s dreams. He’s a quick witted and intelligent, 6’5” farm boy that both sounds and looks like the ideal player. I’d imagine most of, if not all, QBs would love to have Josh Allen’s physical attributes and talent. That doesn’t mean though that all other QBs are dumb or bad.

Ravens at Chiefs - who do you want to have their third loss?
thewookie1 replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ravens FTW, the higher the chance the Chiefs have to struggle and claw for a spot the better. We can beat the Ravens in the playoffs but seemingly can’t take down KC. -

Technically Weeks 2&3 would be a multi-week injury -
How I’d look at it is that teams can utterly destroy QBs, even top tier talents. Yes the makeup and personal qualities have allowed those like Brady, Mahomes, and Allen to become Supermen. But I don’t think that is inevitable; you can break a QB either through killing their motivation or steering them the wrong way. If they go too far learning wrong then their odds of success dwindles significantly. Josh Allen on the Jets likely flashes greatness for three years while struggling to find a groove and then is jettisoned as a backup candidate elsewhere. His inner- drive might save his career but he likely never reaches the Allen we know. Once he’s out of the Jets he won’t have the advantages of a young QB getting ample opportunity to learn and make mistakes because he’ll just be a backup “Hail Mary” idea. He’d likely become what Sam Darnold is; a reformed starter who could have been great but ends up falling short. Allen/Mahomes/Brady can work tirelessly but if the team doesn’t give them proper support it won’t matter.
