Go look at their history of drafting QBs to see it's not just my view. This same GM drafted Christian Hackenberg with a number two pick two years ago. The Jets were 5-11 last year and even Kirk Cousins wanted no part of that team for 30 mill per. The Jets traded up three spots to ensure they get one of the top three QB's...whoopie! They already had the sixth pick and would have probably drafted one of the top three just by staying put. (Foolish indeed if this turns out to be the case.) Instead, to move up three spots they gave up the 6th pick in the first, the 37th and 49th overall picks in this year's draft. PLUS, their number two pick in the 2019 draft. Three number two draft picks all to draft the leftovers from the NY Giants, Cleveland Browns in Darnold, Rosen, Mayfield, Allen. If the Giants, Browns draft Rosen, Darnold the Jets are left with Mayfield/Allen just like they would have if they had stayed put. This doesn't look so smart from my view. I still say the Jets will be firing this coaching staff and GM by the end of the 2018 season no matter which QB they draft.

The entire football world is popping woody's over Carson Wentz and Jared Goff because they turned out to be worth what their respective teams traded up for them. So now all QB needy teams are thinking "we" need to draft a QB in the top of the draft. Oddly enough both those young men found the right HC/OC scheme that allowed them to excel and become solid NFL starters. It took Geoff an extra season because he sure didn't look like he was worthy of the first overall pick in his first year. Now all teams want a Carson Wentz and yet there isn't one in this year's draft class that I see. What really gets me is that most of the team slated to draft a QB early don't have the necessary people on the roster or coaching staff to develop one of these young QBs properly. All of the top five/six QB's have warts and none look worthy of a bundle of first, second round picks. I'd rather not see this team move up to the number two spot for a wart. We all saw that McD really did a good job drafting last year in filling some needs at CB, OT. Now we gotta hope they can use those same eyes to find a QB in this year's draft and if not we get to see what AJ McCarron can do. If McCarron can't get it done then trade for Foles.

Knowing it's the Jets making this pick at #3 leads me to believe they will shoot themselves in the foot like always. There is no Andrew Luck in this year's draft and hopefully, the Jets pick Mark Sanchez number two, or Sam Bradford number two. Even if they pick Allen or Mayfield they will screw the kid by starting him right away and thus get him killed on a bad team. Their coaching staff stinks, their roster stinks and I doubt they win more than five games in 2018. New Jets GM, coaching staff in 2019. Oh, and Buffalo can have whatever QB they draft this year in a few years when they cut him.

All The Bills fans complaining about Josh Allen's inaccuracy in college should be in heaven about McCarron at Alabama with his 66.95 comp % and never going below 60%. 77 TD's vs 15 INT's. This kid has had time to sit and learn the last three years so he should be ready to start and play well. Of all the free agent franchise wannabes this kid might actually be the best of the bunch and Buffalo got him cheap comparatively. Love what this new regime is doing.

You mean to the team that drafted Geno Smith, Christian Hackenburg, Bryce Petty. They probably want to be sure to get Lamar Jackson.

What I don't get is why some Bills fans think that what they watched in college is what they will see in the pros. The kid has only had two years of college development in a pro-style offense at Wyoming, which BTW is more difficult to play in. We all already know he had a poor supporting cast around him in 2017 and basically carried his team. Allen has already developed better mechanics, footwork, and accuracy as seen by his performance in the senior bowl. This young man is far from being a finished product and with a decent supporting cast around him with some quality coaching, he could be a franchise QB. This is what the scouts see and why they are projecting him to be a top ten pick. I wouldn't watch too much of his college tape because you will go blind. It would be like watching only the first two years of Matthew Stafford in college in which he was 52.7 comp% in his first year and 55.7 in his second year. In his final season at Georgia, he went 61.4 completion percentage. Stafford also played in the SEC so he had better coaching too. I wouldn't worry very much about the Buffalo Bills drafting Josh Allen as the Jets just traded up with the Colts for the #3 overall spot and Allen will be long gone unless Buffalo moves to #2. I look at Sam Darnold and see another Matt Leinart, Mark Sanchez. Matt Barkley who fumbles far too often and has small hands. A polished turd is still a turd. Watch Darnold in the first half of his 2017 season at USC! I look at Josh Rosen and see another Sam Bradford who can sling it with the best of them but can't take a hit, can't escape the pocket. Has poor deep ball percentage because his arm is below average. A WCO QB that is injury prone. If both Allen and Mayfield are gone by the 6th pick I'd say Buffalo should look at Mason Rudolph.

This isn't an 8-year NFL vet we are talking about here it's a kid who only played two years in college. He already showed great improvement with a better supporting cast and better coaching at the senior bowl. (watch the vid) Yes, players that have been used to throwing a certain way for a long time have great difficulty changing anything related to mechanics, footwork, throwing motion. The reason scouts are so high on him is because he isn't set in his ways and can be developed with proper coaching. I'll support any QB the Buffalo Bills draft this year even if it's Lamar Jackson and I don't care much for Rosen with his durability issues or Darnold with his fumbling concerns. Call me crazy but I like Mayfield and Allen with the latter being my #1. I watched his senior bowl/ combine performance and he reminds me of Big Ben...only with a stronger arm.

The kid was scrawny when he first entered college and grew into his bigger frame. Plus, he only played two years in College and his last year was on a very bad team. He played much better in the senior bowl with better coaching and a better surrounding cast. I think it should take less than two years to develop him as an NFL starter. But wow, a possible Big Ben, Aaron Rodgers at the end of that development time.

You were wrong about Taylor as he is STILL a starting QB in the NFL and now will be starting for the Browns. If you loved Allen coming into the season then you must be aware that he came into college a skinny kid and grew into that big frame. He also had a much better supporting cast around him in his first year at Wyoming. The thing is, that anyone who was any good in 2016 left the team in 2017 and he basically was forced to deal with a bad surrounding cast all season. Bad offensive line, bad receiving corps and literally no run game to help him. The kid has only played in college for two years and still has room to further develop into a better QB. If you actually watched Allen play last year you would have noticed that in the games against the better schools the team around him really stunk it up and therefore he didn't play well at all considering he was literally running for his life in those games. Iowa L 24-3 Comp% 57.5 Oregon 49-13 comp% 37.5 Boise St 24-14 comp% 44.4 Yes, Allen had some bad games last year and yet he still went 8-5 while winning the Idaho Potato Bowl. USC's Sam Darnold lost to Ohio St in the Cotton Bowl 24-7 with a completion percentage of 57.8%! UCLA's Josh Rosen didn't play in the Cactus Bowl and they lost 35-17. UCLA went 6-7 last year. Do I think this kid will be a future NFL star....YES! Do I know that he will be...NO! This young man is going to get drafted early because of his potential. He has an arm that can throw frozen ropes all over the field just like Aaron Rodgers

I think AJ would be the starter no matter who they draft this year simply because they need to see what they have with him. All of them have warts except perhaps Mayfield who's only real flaw is his height and even then I kinda doubt he starts.

Stafford, Cutler, Tyrod Taylor all had comp% below 60% in college and improved once they got to the NFL. It doesn't always work that way though. Allen played on a bad team in 2017 and was running for his life most of the time with receivers that dropped a lot of passes. Daniel Jeremiah's top 50 players in this year's draft and Allen is listed at 14th behind Darnold, Rosen, and Mayfield. Of those three listed the only one I like is Mayfield. All of them have warts IMO and Allen is no different. Rosen has durability issues and Darnold has fumbling issues. RANK 14 Josh Allen, QB, Wyoming Allen has ideal size, arm strength and mobility. At Wyoming, he split time underneath and in the shotgun. He has quick feet in his setup and a smooth, fluid release. He's at his best driving the ball to the outside. He generates outrageous velocity and can squeeze the ball into very tight windows. He must improve on touch throws, but he has shown the ability to change ball speed and throw with loft. He needs to throw with more anticipation and there are times where he really locks onto his initial read, which can lead to pass breakups and turnovers. While he has room to improve on his overall ball placement, there were numerous dropped balls by his receivers in every game I studied. Allen's combination of athleticism and strength allows him to avoid free rushers and shake off tacklers. He's an aggressive runner and he's been effective on designed QB runs as well as scrambles. Allen isn't a finished product, but he offers unlimited upside, provided his drafting team exercises patience.

Horsehockey! The kid wowed the scouts at the combine and senior bowl with his ability to put the ball right where it needed to be. Just know that whatever you have to say makes no difference to who this team will select in the draft! If you don't like him feel free to denigrate him every chance you get like you did with Taylor.

Not all great college players turn out to be great NFL players and conversely not all poorly graded college players play poorly in the NFL. In 2000 Chad Pennington was the first QB taken in that year's draft in the first round by the NY Jets. Giovanni Carmazzi was selected in the third by the 49ers. Chris Redman drafted in the third by the Ravens. Tee Martin was selected in the 5th by the Steelers. Marc Bulger was selected in the 6th round by the Saints. Spergon Wynn was selected in the 6th round by the Browns. Then some scrawny kid 6'4'' 211 lbs was taken in the 6th round by the Patriots. He was graded 9th out of 24 QB's that year and projected to be a 6-7th round pick. His name is... Unsung Hero: ... ..... had good statistics while in college, but he didn't have many accolades. He wasn't an All American. He didn't win the Heisman Trophy or Davey O'Brien Award. He wasn't all conference first or second team. ... ..... was All Big Ten Conference Honorable Mention. That's it. During his senior season, Drew Brees was widely recognized as the top QB in the Big Ten Conference. Antwaan Randle El also gained attention for being the most athletic QB in the conference. ..... was simply overlooked. Consequently, there just wasn't much hype surrounding him. Measurables: Scouts were hard on ....., as they are on most quarterbacks. They criticized his slow foot speed. They criticized his frame, saying he was too small. They criticized his arm strength. They said he couldn't throw a tight spiral. They said he couldn't improvise if a play broke down. Some even said that his good statistics were a product of him playing on a great team rather than him being a great player. Looking back, these criticisms are laughable. I'd rather the team sign EJ or Geno Smith. Matt Cassell is out there too. Why don't Bills fans understand if the kid was good at his job... he would have a job.

How amazing is it that the Bills trade away Tyrod Taylor to the Browns and sign AJ McCarron for 10 mill per when Sam Bradford who is always injured got 20 mill per. Shoot, Glennon is a pure backup and making 8 mill per. Man I love it to see actual football people that know what they are doing running this franchise.

The reason WR Danny Amendola decided to leave NE was he was tired of accepting less than what he was worth while playing on an SB caliber team. The Patriots lost their starting LT for 15 mill per which is about 2 mill over what others have been making. Tom Brady isn't making anywhere near what some of the top 10 QB's are making to allow the Patriots to sign quality free agents. Once Brady leaves NE or retires I kinda doubt the next QB will accept as little as Brady has been making. The worm could finally be turning this year!

So may teams snapping up wannabe franchise QBs its crazy, heck even Glennon found a home. I gotta wonder if the same thing is gonna happen for the draft with Cleveland and the Giants both taking a QB and some other team gets that 3rd pick.

Hey, the team traded away to Cleveland the best QB this franchise has had since Kelly, Bledsoe. So perhaps the plan is to be the next Cleveland by making all the wrong choices ON QB's in the draft. Seriously, there must be a plan for Foles or Andrew Luck or something because I just don't see Buffalo going into training camp with just Peterman or some other scrub QB like Moore. Even if they draft one of the top three QB's the only one I'd start from day one is Mayfield. Sorry, I just don't care for polished turds in Darnold, Rosen.

Maybe not. Perhaps the Eagles have told the Bills he will be available near/around training camp. Or maybe it was the Colts who were interested in Foles and want to trade Luck.

It could be that Indy was the AFC that offered the Eagles a #2 pick for Foles. Won't it be a B word for all those teams that signed a warty free agent QB if Andrew Luck becomes available near training camp?

#1 Cleveland, #2 NY Giants, #3 Indy, #4 Cleveland, #5 Denver, #6 NY Jets. All want a QB and Buffalo may need to go up to #2,#3 to get one of the top three. Buffalo looks to be filling the holes on the team with free agent signings and still might need to sign a bridge QB. Most of the good ones are already gone.

Why not? Gotta free up cap space to sign a big money free agent QB and still be able to get other free agents. Cousins is still waiting to make visits and some teams might not want to drive up his price if they can help it. Anything the Bills are saying at this point is smoke. Like wanting to draft Josh Rosen or moving up into the top three. I think they move up but the QB they actually draft will surprise.

I don't care for Rosen or Darnold the top two QB's in this year's draft. Rosen with his durability concern with two concussions this past season and past shoulder surgery and if that isn't enough he doesn't have a very powerful arm.
