  1. I was going to tell my story about pools, piña coladas and air conditioned club seats, but decided not to! You, sir, are unstoppable. Cheers!
  2. SWAG, including Bills and Wyoming Cowboy Polos: $297.97 Hotel night, Marriott Harbor Beach, Fort Lauderdale: $547.67 Club Seats, Hardrock Section 220, Row 1: $610.00 Reading Fin Heaven with coffee on a balcony overlooking the Atlantic: Priceless.
  3. I’m here. The Mrs., a daughter, sister and brother in law and two friends. Lauderdale Marriott. Section 220. Miami, ami, ami.
  4. First, I look forward to your posts and am grateful for your efforts on our behalf. Second, I am an Oxford comma man and Pluto will always be a planet in my house. Third, you’ve created circumstance where the ubiquitous and clumsy “impacted” is preferred to the disappearing and capable “affected.” Carry on.
  5. We have Josh Allen, Tyler Bass and a defense. McD/Brady called the drive for Bass and the Defense. I’d have gone with Josh and mixed pass and run.
  6. Roll Call! Who’s going? I’ll be there with MrsNeo and one NeoEtte. Joining my sister and brother-in-law down from Buffalo. Joining some local friends who are life long Dolphin fans and restaurant servers who are very good to us. Staying in Lauderdale at the Marriott. Fresh swag. Represent!
  7. You’re correct. It’s been done once before in NFL history. Passer rating, rushing and passing yards, rushing TDs and Passing TDs. That’s after losing a rushing TD to penalty.
  8. Everybody Eats graduates from a game plan to a box score.
  9. I was referring to “sauté”!
  10. My nomination for Auto Correct of the Year.
  11. It was not idiotic at the time. GMs across the league disagreed dramatically on his trajectory. He was high risk, high reward. Kudos to the Chiefs. We made a good trade. KC made a home run talent decision. The two aspects of every pick trade are the picks, themselves, and the team’s ability to project talent. I think it was a great pick trade for the Bills. It was a Home Run talent evaluation by the Chiefs. Not having a QB doesn’t change what we do with #10 if we don’t see the value. See EJ Manuel.
  12. Bill Simpson.
  13. Passive aggressive shot over the bow. Classic Diggs. He’s talking ABOUT Buffalo and Minnesota. He’s talking TO Houston. “Gimme targets, or my mood goes south.”
  14. I’ve posted often and defended Allen when he’s been criticized, Set my view about larger pictures and small mindednesses aside. I’ve reached a point where I could care less about those who don’t get it. Dude’s an elite baller who I’d not trade for another QB. Beane’s finest moment. He is the quintessential “Buffalo” Bill.
  15. I am willing to accept Allen, Mahomes, Burrow in any order. There’s no one else I’d chose over one of those to start a football game for me. He scores more touchdowns than anyone and has more turnovers than many. A Lamborghini gets lousy gas mileage.
  16. His point and your point are interesting. I was simply saying his isn’t ridiculous. I think a lot of the organization’s (Beane’s) success, praise and notoriety can be attributed to the Allen pick and his ascension to among the greats. My words, different, but essentially the same thought as the original poster’s. You’re not wrong.
  17. LOL, made me think of a session with Dr. Knobb from The Natural. “Gently rocking. Gently … rocking.” Fun fact. Dr. Knobb was played by Peter Poth, managing partner of a Buffalo Big Eight Accounting firm who went on to be CEO of Delaware North Companies. I did business with Poth and his team, back in the day, but well after the film was made. Joe Strnad, the umpire, was a Hamburg / Bethlehem Management Club member. I was friends with his daughter. Lastly, an all time classic. One of cinema’s great four seconds. Hobbs strikes out The Whammer in a batting competition at a train stop and Harriet’s gaze moves from the Whammer to The Natural. The last four seconds.
  18. Because they came to camp 30 pounds over weight smoking cigarettes.
  19. “free shoes” cracked me up.
  20. I’ve always looked at it this way. We didn’t give the Chiefs draft capital, we exchanged draft capital. The win or lose comes from how you evaluate talent and use the capital. We didn’t give the Chiefs Mahomes, we evaluated Mahomes differently. Advantage Chiefs on the evaluation.
  21. I can’t think of another player in the NFL who, if lost to injury, would change the trajectory of his team more than Josh Allen. Allen is the most singly important player in the league in the context of team outlook. We may all phrase things differently, but I don’t think the post you responded to was ridiculous at all. We may disagree with it, but it’s as linked to reality as other points of view.
  22. I agree with you. I’d establish the over/under at “5” for the number of registered posters who could … imagining there’s probably that many who are approximately 25, over 6’7” and athletic.
  23. You know him better than me.
  24. You asked for an example.
