  1. Which ones other than CB? Safety is important in this scheme as is the front 7 I do agree about Foster. Unfortunately we wasted a 2nd last year and a 4th this year on Ragland, a guy who isn't good in the 4-3 scheme
  2. With the zone defensive scheme, I don't think you need to draft a CB in the first round. Really wish we would have signed shead from Seattle. Using a 1st rounder to replace a guy you lost in FA is backwards thinking
  3. Pepper at #10 is ridiculous. Honestly, he has a better chance at being our 2nd round pick than our first. A lot of guys here, but all of these make sense at #10 to varying degrees: Davis, foster, Howard, Hooker, Adams, lattimore Run to the podium and draft at #10: Hooker, adams Fair value at #10: Davis, foster, Howard, lattimore. The #10 pick will have a lot of teams interested. I don't know which teams have multiple firsts or a first and an early 2nd, but my dream scenario would be to trade #10, for a first and an early 2nd and get: First: Davis, foster, Howard, lattimore, Williams or someone similar Early 2nd: Mahomes Our 2nd: Budda Baker or similar One can dream.... Btw, this thread is very good. A lot of knowledge, good rationale and justified arguments. Refreshing
  4. Cam Robinson has bust written all over him. Not good in pass protection - stay away
  5. He's the #2 kicker in NFL history in fg%. Think of that for a second. He's a top 2 or 3 kicker in kickoffs. Extra points were blocked not missed, which I think is better than the reverse. Kicks were a bit low, but trajectory is easier to correct than having the extra point yips (carpenter)
  6. We are taking wr (Davis) at 1-10, if he's there. Who knows if Watkins will be healthy and all these other guys are #3s at best. Howard is also in the mix. CBs and safety's are so deep that we can get Rd 1 talent in Rd 2 and Rd 2 talent in Rd 3
  7. Will look even better when Davis is added to it
  8. No way 19 - we'll be drafting a wr at 1-10 or in the 2nd
  9. Drafting Davis is a no-brainer. I could be argued into Howard, but drafting a CB at 1-10 doesn't make a lot of sense given our zone scheme and the depth of the draft. Now,.If Adams drops to 10, or even Hooker....Honestly though, if we don't draft Davis, I hope we trade down
  10. With the Dre Holmes signing, if we could sign Zach and maybe a good RT and a CB, we'd be solid heading into the draft. 1-10. Davis 2nd. Best CB or safety 3rd. Best CB or safety or maybe a Few 5th. Kelly 5th. Lb 6th. Whatever
  11. Davis picked at 1-10 will make the wr group look a lot better
  12. Lattimore at 1-10 seems more likely now (if he's still there), unless we sign somebody else. This doesn't excite me
  13. Looks like he potentially used up to get Seattle to get serious
  14. Can't cut Wood, it would be a significant cap hit not a cap savings. Restructuring is definitely possible
  15. He failed to get separation against better competition? Try watching the Michigan game highlights. Creating separation is not an issue with Davis but is with Williams.
  16. I'm wrong, in 2017, for the first time, they are allowed to be traded.
  17. If we cut Wood this year, he would cost more to the cap than if we kept him, so forget cutting him. Restructuring is a distinct possibility
  18. If we were offering him $2m he wouldn't waste his time with a visit. Look for 3 years $14m for him. And he's plenty worth that.
  19. Whaley didn;t do anything here. LA signed him to a fair contract and we matched. LA did all the work for him here - if LA really wanted him, they would have offered him a bigger contract
  20. Snead is a tricky contract value to derive though, with the injury
  21. The only thing that concerns me about OJ is his lack of stats at Alabama. 114 catches and 7 td's in FOUR years of college. Different position, I know, but Davis had better stats in his SR year than OJ had over all 4 years. Guessing he was severely underutilized at Alabama??
  22. Davis is head and shoulders better than Williams. Williams has a tremendous catch radius (as does Davis) but has significant past injury concerns and had a tough time creating separation in COLLEGE. Davis was the only threat on his team and he still stood out against teams like Michigan. If they're both available, Davis is the easy choice. If Davis is gone, and Williams is there, I still don't take Williams. I'd take lattimore, either top safety or the TE over Williams. Davis is the top offensive player on my board and it's not close. I think prefer Ford over Williams (Ford is the guy that ran the 4.2, right??)
