2nd annual bash here. Last year, (1st annual) it was like one of those parties that you see in a movie (gigantic house, crazy number of hot chicks, room converted into club atmosphere, etc). This year they're moving it to a country club to accommodate overflow. Taking the advice of someone here, I'm wearing a Sabres jersey over a shirt/tie, with a matching hat and calling myself a first round pick.

Two words: Separate Vacations Other than that: Eat better foods (outside aisles at the supermarket), exercise, don't sweat the small stuff (most of it is small stuff). Poor Sage had to endure my rant on this just a few months ago, but there's no better advice. Of course, I went to a school that required co-op employment and my jobs paid quite well. However, I picked up other things (mowed lawns, tended bar for a caterer, etc). There's no shortage of people willing to throw $20-$100 (tax free) at you for odd stuff. As far as saving money goes, lots of good advice in this thread. Here's a recipe that goes a long way: Couple cans of refried beans (<$1 for 16 oz) Large jar of no-name Salsa (<$2.50) Package of Tortillas (Look around as prices vary) Mix the refried beans with Salsa Spoon into tortilla Microwave ~30-60 sec High protein, low fat, mmm mmm good.

Agreed, but I'm immature enough to still get most of the jokes. I thought last season's finale with Will Ferrell was great. [Rant] The lament of "SNL sucks now and should be ended before it sullies the past" is tired. You folks have to get over yourselves. 90% of the skits have always sucked. Sketch comedy is very difficult to pull off. The good ones stick out in your mind because they're so rare. Then you get stuck in the muck of confirmation bias every time you see a new bad one. When I saw what Temple (Temple!) was doing to UB, all I could think was "Whatever the Texas-UTEP line is, it's not high enough." I think it was 35 1/2, and the Longhorns ended up winning 64-7.

That's farther, Chef. Other than that, spot on. I like plenzmd1's thoughts on the liquor, so go with that. In fact, go with all of his advice. At the end of the day, it's a damn theme party and you're the host. If someone thinks you skimped on something, that person is a snob. Good luck!

As much as we dislike the Leafs, that jersey is one of the best in all of sports. There's an elegance in simplicity. That's said, I'd have a difficult time picking a favorite (or my favorite to hate) amongst the original 6. The Blackhawks' version is pretty sweet, tho. I still hate the current Sabres' slug.

And there was all kinds of mean nasty ugly looking people on the bench there. Mother rapers. Father stabbers. Father rapers! Father rapers sitting right there on the bench next to me! And they was mean and nasty and ugly and horrible crime-type guys sitting on the bench next to me. And the meanest, ugliest, nastiest one, the meanest father raper of them all, was coming over to me and he was mean 'n' ugly 'n' nasty 'n' horrible and all kind of things and he sat down next to me and said, "Kid, whad'ya get?"
