I tried to get a #15 "Kemp" throwback last year, but was denied. Certain names/numbers are prohibited on NFL.com due to some issue with retired players. I checked a few different numbers to see what the deal was. #12 "Kelly" for the Bills was also rejected, #13 "Marino" on the Dolphins was rejected, too. Strangely enough, if you tried #12 "Kelly" for the Dolphins, it went right through. Same was true of #13 "Marino" for a Bills jersey. Weird. I ended up getting a #61 "Kalsu". I put his unit patch on the breast. BTW, my other jersey is a #81 "Chandler". When you get the jersey of a current player (or even a retired one that is still alive, right OJ?), there's a chance you could end up on this site.

Never been, but everyone I've talked to has the same impression as your's. Too bad all my Pittsburgh buddies are "marriedwithchildren", otherwise I'd demand to crash and see a game. /Sucksgettingold Now I live in Charlotte. Saw the White Sox here on Thursday vs AAA Knights. Nice, but not the same as living in a big league city*. *(Jeeze, did I just call South Florida a "Big League City"?)

Saw my first game in the 'Burgh back in '79. Still remember the top half the 1st inning: Rose K, McBride K, Schmidt HR to left, Luzinski, K. Feast or famine with Bruce Kison dealing.

MLB East!?! Really AJ? This is why people laugh at ATL fans. j/k BTW, we know he's coming. Dude is a friggin' monster. The Braves are going to be big this year assuming that staff stands up (and there's no reason to think they won't).

I voted 'Never' because I was never a true smoker. However, a few years ago I would have or or two when I drank in the right company. I've told the story about my buddy habing a stroke when we were in Vegas. My last cigarette was outside Caesar's while he was in emergency surgery and I was just hoping everything would work out okay. He and his wife are expecting their first child in October. I'm all done with tobacco.

Looking good Billy Ray!

I'm not implying anything. I'm saying right out loud. However, you and anyone born after 1986 is exempt from my front-running opinion. I tend to forget that there are a number of kids running around OTW. However, it's too bad you didn't have to endure those bad Yankee squads that Donny Baseball headed. But the Bills/Sabres are probably enough to toughen your mettle.

Ever Wonder What Will Happen to the B-side?

Great clip from FOTC. -
Yankee fans not from NYC/Tri-state area = Dallas Cowboy fans not from Texas "They were always on TV when I grew up!" /Science

Me too. Totally missed it. Hope your Good Friday was a Great Friday.

Legalization will fix all of our financial problems. Didja ever look at a dollar bill man? There’s some spooky stuff goin’ on there. And it’s green too! /Apologies to D&C fans.

Bill Foster: Pardon me, but that's BS. You see, I don't think anything's wrong with the street! I think you're just trying to justify your inflated budgets! I know how it works! If you don't spend the projected amount this year, you don't get the same amount next year! Now, I want you to admit, THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH THE STREET! Giving government more money will only ensure that said government will only do with it what they do best: Wasting money. NBC has been running their features on "The Fleecing of America" for more than a decade. They'll never run out of material. IMHO - legalizing pot, while a good idea for many, many reasons, will not have a dramatic effect of increasing tax revenues. There will probably be a subtle shift from the tax receipts from alcohol. Big Pharma will probably suffer a bit too, because I'm confident a few tokes will ease suffering from Restless Leg Syndrome and other similar maladies (Ants in Your Pants, Case of the Mondays, etc). The true heshers will step around the tax and grow their own. However, you will see an increase in sales tax revenue from the sale of Cool Ranch Doritos.

UPDATED: Tim Tebow, QB, Denver Broncos

Or Twitter. They went to "a steakhouse". If TT ordered fish tacos, JK probably would have punched him in the face. -
Anyone ever take a cross country trip?
HopsGuy replied to Captain Hindsight's topic in Off the Wall Archives
He'll be driving his brother's '93 Fiero and the stereo has a cassette stuck in it playing The Proclaimers' "500 Miles (I'm Gonna Be)" on a continuous loop. "No it's okay. It comes around again." -
Go with a response that includes plausible deniability: "Who doesn't?" No smiley. Subtle. Fist pump.

If I was driving and Chris Neil was in the crosswalk, I'd make things right.

The wholesale price of wings has doubled in the last decade. NPR story When I was in HS, a local bar used to have "McWing Night" on Wednesdays: $0.10 wings (big, meaty ones) + $1.00 Michelob longnecks.

The Messiah Reveals Himself On Colbert Report
HopsGuy replied to /dev/null's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Agreed. I was thinking about this scene while reading the Tebow "STFU" thread: Spectator I: I think it was "Blessed are the cheesemakers". Mrs. Gregory: Aha, what's so special about the cheesemakers? Gregory: Well, obviously it's not meant to be taken literally; it refers to any manufacturers of dairy products. -
I was at the 'Canes game on Sunday. Same deal as in FL when I lived there... tons of Sabres fans. Lots of good tailgating outside, too. I saw at least 3 deep-fry set-ups for wings. To be fair, Duke was playing at the same time (5 PM on a Sunday). Weird time for hockey.

Can't believe that skit was in the same episode as "Cowbell".

Both Jake LaMotta and Vincent Gardenia played bartenders in "The Hustler". Gardenia wasn't really a star, but when I first saw the movie I said "Hey, there's Roxanne's dad" (LA Law reference). David Hasselhoff played "Boner" in something called "Revenge of the Cheerleaders". I've never seen it, but I want to. Robert Duvall as Boo Radley in "To Kill a Mockingbird". as a kid. Keeping with the theme: Jabari Greer used to play for the Bills.

Do you use one of those fancy multi bladed razors?
HopsGuy replied to Just Jack's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Same deal for me (head/face every M-W-F). I use the Mach 3 until it feels like a cheese grater (~2 weeks). Be sure to post about those WMT blades. I'd love to cut that part of the budget. -
I've been saying for years that what this place really needs is more polka references. Well done, sir. Heard the morning zoo people here talk about this and they brought up the Simpsons episode where Homer eats himself to morbid obesity so he can work from home. This waste of humanity is also named Simpson. So there's that.

So just how objective are the questions in a BeliefNet survey? Can you say "Push Poll"? Might this poll be a bit more accurate? Who's to say? Let me take a stab at this... It's like Mad-Libs, really. /this thread is probably destined for PPP.

Chuck is already on the one. Whose eye do you think that is looking down on the unfinished pyramid? Annuit Coeptis = "He favors our endeavors." "He" is Chuck. C'mon people! BTW - It was the Baptists of Danbury Connecticut that send a letter to Thomas Jefferson urging that there be a separation between Church and State. Know why? They feared persecution from the Congregationalists of Danbury Connecticut. So there you go.
