Brag: My nephew, an USAF Academy grad in 1LT, is finishing up his PhD in mechanical engineering at Wright-Patterson. We’re all pretty proud. But I’m still not going to Dayton.

I insist on Heinz ketchup, French’s yellow mustard & Gulden’s brown mustard. But most of the time, I’m good with store brands. Once got offended when Rooney’s in WPB didn’t have Heinz. These people own the Steelers! The stadium has the name! The next year they switched. ?

I’m from Olean. A guy from my neighborhood worked at O Wholesale right out of HS. He was our point guard. Shur Fine was a staple in our household. I still buy store brands. Why do I need Hunt’s when I can save 15 cents on Shur Fine tomato sauce or Great Value or whatever?

On April Fool’s about 15 years ago, I got in early (like normal) & changed everyone’s m & n keys (even my own). It was glorious.

I make my own dough in a Kitchen Aid mixer. I use bread flour, yeast bloomed in warm water, salt, sugar & olive oil. 45 minutes of mixing, 90 minutes to rise, good to go. ??

A guy I worked with (West Point grad) got carjacked in Miami in the 90s. The guy was pointing the gun at him and told him to drive to an ATM. He put the pistol down in his lap to reach for something. My buddy took his chance, grabbed the weapon & shot the guy in the head, killing him. He’s a lawyer now. ?

I’ve made baked wings at home using Alton Brown’s “The Wing & I” method. You have to steam them first, chill, then bake on high. They come out pretty good.

The original intent of the 2nd Amendment was to fix (amend) a portion of Article I, Section 8.: ”To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States...” Whoa, whoa, whoa... if you can arm me, can you disarm me? That’s why the Constitution was changed, *amended*, if you will. BTW, the biggest gun I ever fired was an M-119 Howitzer (in training, no longer in service). You do *not* want me to possess this within my zero.

I’m HopsGuy. I was here when this site was a place for Lori to practice her writing & there were odes to odd WRs (Khalil something) (‘95). Another guy complained that he couldn’t get DTV because of trees, or squirrels or trees and squirrels. Then there was The Dean. This place was weird. Good to see nothing has changed. ?
