  1. I also took a look at scoring in wins vs. losses over the past 2 years (while looking into some KC stuff). I actually did find an interesting trend that I don't like while looking, FWIW. First off, in our 15 Wins over the past 2 years: Bills PPG: 27.1 Opponents PPG: 14.5 In our losses over the past 2 years: Bills PPG: 21.9 (including 3 games with EJ/Cardale for a quarter) Opponents PPG: 30.5 So there is about a 5 point swing in our Offense's production between wins and losses, but a 16 point swing in what our D gives up between our wins and losses. Seems crazy! Also, over the past 2 years our Defense has allowed 24+ points 14 times. We are 0-14 in those games. We are 15-3 in games where our opponents were held to 23 or fewer points. We suck at shootouts, clearly. And to my point with KC, their Defense has allowed 24+ points 8 times over the past 2 years. We allowed 8 such games last season alone.
  2. It's a team sport, and the rest of the team's contributions matter.
  3. I liked Rumblings' rules a bit better. They kept it so that 1st and 2nd year players were automatically exempt. Hypothetical Protected Players List Sammy Watkins Tyrod Taylor LeSean McCoy Marcell Dareus Cordy Glenn Charles Clay Andre Holmes Eric Wood Jerel Worthy Gerald Hodges Micah Hyde Jerry Hughes
  4. So your point was that Maclin did base his decision on his wife to some extent? Weird way to do it, by referring to it as 'story telling' when the player himself says it was part of his decision. If you think players don't understand coaching changes and how they effect things you'd be mistaken. Denver's top 2 receivers were T-10th and 13th in targets in the NFL (With Siemian & Lynch). Baltimore's were 26th and 28th. Tyrod or not, we will be throwing more. If you think otherwise you are mistaken.
  5. So basically our FO is good with the roster and cap rolling over unless someone wants to come cheap? Fair enough I suppose.
  6. He also is stepping into a likely WR1 role there vs WR2 here.
  7. That's your opinion and assumption. I'll take the man for his word.
  8. Maclin catches on with Ravens after unexpected exit from KC
  9. Just my opinion, but the reason it appears that way is because one side generally is the side to instigate nearly all of the exchanges on the topic. Thread about a WR? Let's make a jab at the QB, because why not. Thread about the coach? He's doomed because he chose to bring back our QB. And so on. I understand it isn't 100% the case, but it is a distinct majority of the time.
  10. Excuse me sir. We haven't lost a single game since they were hired!
  11. Unless one works, then they run it 53 times that game.
  12. could do 99 for the last year we made it. or 0 for the number of times we made it
  13. I wonder: if you asked Beane who he'd select as his HC (of those available), do you think he'd say someone other than McDermott?
  14. So I dug a little deeper and ran some numbers with 26 QBs meeting qualifying numbers for minimum games played, TDs, etc. Exactly 9 of the 26 QBs met both of the 250+ YPG and 1.875 TD/G marks through passing alone (Brees, Ben, Brady, Palmer, Rivers, Luck, Eli, Rodgers, and Carr). Another 3 met both if you included Rushing stats (Cousins, Bortles, and Newton) for a total of 12 QBs to hit that criteria over the past 2 year span. Here are Tyrod's ranks in the pertinent columns: Passing YPG: 25th Passing TD/G: 23rd INT/G: 2nd Total YPG: 22nd Total TD/G: 19th TD/TO: 2nd And here's the stats, sorted by Total TD/G:
  15. Indeed, our success has clearly been on a pendulum. We haven't really fielded a competent Defense and Offense at the same time since like 2004.
  16. I looked some up for 2016 Russell Wilson 279.9 YPG (1), 1.375 TD/G (6) Derek Carr 267.1 YPG (2), 1.867 TD/G (1) Sam Bradford 262 YPG (5), 1.333 TD/G (7) Jameis Winston 265.9 YPG (4), 1.813 TD/G (2) Eli Manning 251.1 YPG (6), 1.625 TD/G (T3) Blake Bortles 266.5 YPG (3), 1.625 TD/G (T3) Trevor Siemian 247 YPG (7), 1.286 TD/G (8) Tyrod Taylor 240.2 YPG (8), 1.533 TD/G (5)
  17. I don't disagree with this, and I haven't looked up anyone else you listed, but I do think it's important to remember that Tyrod contributes ~40 yards per game on the ground. In his 2 years here he is averaging 248.6 yards and 1.62 TDs per game, which is pretty close to your initial numbers. I guess my question is are you expecting those passing number in addition to his current running numbers? Or do you just want to see his rushing stats essentially converted to passing stats?
  18. thoughts on being sandwiched between Bradford and Wentz?
  19. Well we had a roster of 53. 23 UFAs, 5 RFAs, plus cuts like AW and Graham makes up a pretty high %.
  20. Clay playing RB now? We don't use TEs!
  21. DJ MILK because they knew the media would milk the story...
  22. My prediction is barring any injuries, fwiw.
