Then it’s up to the Super Duper Long Snappers to make the adjustment. It’s on them! Listen, it’s not yours or mines right to criticize Moormam’s hand usage. We are here to cheer. Let the real men figure out how to punt/snap/hold.

This is an interesting way for a punter tryout. I appreciate the Bills thinking outside the box, ticking off ✔️Beloved ✔️Hard working ✔️ Delicate shovel hands for holding

Im concerned about the guy for sure, more than most probably. He looks the part. And I’m afraid that’s why he was drafted. But he can’t play the part,,, which is why he hasn’t. We will completely agree that this Chiefs game is a pivoting moment in his career in Buffalo.

Chiefs D is pretty good but so is the Bills
Thrivefourfive replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes! Perfect game plan these days is to get off to a fast start and hold on with that defense. So I want the Bills to wake up earlier, get to the field of play earlier for warming up, and be absolutely peaking at kickoff. Let some other team figure out how to mount a comeback in the game. <<< this is a winning formula for THIS Bills team. That should be their identity. -
I agree. But I’d like to see the front office draft evaluators value speed and aggressiveness to the ball, through the ball, and on tackling. I admire Poyer and Hyde because they are not going to get cheated at the point of contact. What I don’t want to see is “model” players drafted. Height and size has nothing to do with heart and soul and tenacity. Bernard and DW42 YES! Rapp is fine with me. I have a much easier time missing on a player with traits like the early first rounder Seattle drafted. He’s tiny, but he’s a mauler. If it doesn’t work out, at least Seattle wanted that type of player. Than, say, Elam.

It was depressing. I was on the west coast so these nationally televised games were all I ever had. So each one was that much more important to me. I remember going to bed miserable when they lost and knowing my next day at school was going suck big time!

I have an awful feeling that it might look like that in Vegas.

This is so great. But I’ve got news for EVERYONE…. After millions of rewatches, I conclude that ….Josh Allen… you ARE a slide faker! That Pittsburgh play,,, I’m really sorry some TBD posters, but he did indeed fake going down on his left knee. It would’ve been one of those awkward tumbles where his weight is going more vertically downward than horizontally and he completely uncoordinatedly somersaults, with weird elbows. I can tell you another thing: it’s not difficult to see the sliding QBs who played baseball and those who didn’t! 😂

Poyer and Hyde……. Better find the fountain of youth immediately because that’s what it’s going to take. I’m worried about the Chiefs figuring something out deep. But I’m reassured that the McDermott D is very solid against big play stuff. The team that really scares me against an aging Poyer-Hyde is San Jose. They can make the defense run sideline to sideline 50 yards downfield with all their weapons.

What kind of GDT poster are you

It’s our equivalent to a coaching staff yelling “muck your fother!!” to each other into the headsets, and agreeing that anything said to each other on game day don’t count in real life. -
Fun. My time was Derrick Thomas, Deron Cherry, Neil Smith’s nose bandaid, the very local phenomenon Nigerian Nightmare Christian Okoye, Steve DeBerg’s left hand cast, their offensive lineman, and that evil evil man Dale Carter (dirty player). I just looked up their roster from the early 1990s and I pretty much remember every player believe it or not. The NFL media did a good job of telling us their names, not concentrating 90% of their time on a star’s entire make believe life story. Barry Word and Okoye were a fantastic duo. The Bills took a beating in KC one Monday night. Think it was 33-6. The Bills narrative back then was that they won all home games, won division games, won NFC games, and occasionally got blown out on the road vs non division AFC teams. Path to the Super Bowl. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/kan/1992_roster.htm Hahaha yep. And then the Dolphin’s kicker that made a 58 yarder — with a butter fade.

Are the Falcons that bipolar? Belicheck, Harbaugh, and Joe Brady. -
Compared to other QBs, JA dominates in December and January
Thrivefourfive replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
With Allen, when the team wins it’s so easy feeling to say we’ve got the best QB in the NFL, and the numbers glaringly prove it. The Bills have also won games where he had vanilla off week numbers. But the thing is he can also reflect bad Bills games with his turnovers. The December/January numbers and Bills winning ratio may just be that Allen gets his turnovers out of his system during the play-around season, and buckles down taking care of the ball, picking his spots, and letting things develop as the defensives stretch themselves thin trying to cover a 5000 yd2 football field, ground and air, in the play-off season (which has included December must win games a couple years). This is it, my friends. Last year, the whole organization was shot by the time of the Bengals game. Two years ago, robbed by 13 seconds. The year before that, Allen and the Bills were newbies in the AFCCG. It can all be easily explained. The game this weekend, and beyond, Allen and the Bills must put all the great late season stuff since 2020 on the nail and hammer this thing home. -
What is your gut telling you right now?
Thrivefourfive replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
My gut tells me that the Bills will win against the Chiefs, get into an all out war against the Ravens, and destiny strikes as we beat any NFC rep. -
This is what I was banking on. I wanted to work out how this Bills team is the best of this era. If they can beat KC, then yes.. they’re better than the 2021 team. It’s all right there in front of them for the taking.

Im a little concerned vs Mahomes.

His timeouts on seemingly every 3&7 with 4:45 left in the fourth, with the Bills up by one score really bothers me. The timeouts on that -draw them off sides- garage pisses me off to no end. I disagree because it seems McDermott calls these timeouts on defense as if the game is over if the Bills get a stop. Situationally, the opponent usually has 3 timeouts of their own, to get the ball back with plenty of time to take the lead, leaving the Bills with time but fewer timeouts. And I hate that. Strategically, it bothers me because why isn’t his defense ready to initiate contact..? I want the Bills to be the team to CAUSE THE OTHER GUYS TO CALL A TIMEOUT. Don’t want to dwell on this,, it just proves to me that McDermott is conservative and coaches scared. Here’s the incredible kicker (sorry, that’s a bad word right now), there’s confusion on defense after the timeout!!! Dorian Williams comes running off the field last second and Dane Jackson is doing jumping jacks because he’s not sure of something. This was in the most important play of the game to that point! Dane luckily didn’t get called for raping on Pickens like he should have. Like, what in the hell are the Bills doing sometimes??? Let’s never forget: McTimeout calls a McTimeout to ice kickers and then his team has 12 men on the field. Can’t stand ya.

Elam is still lost out there. A opponent not throwing his way is a major fail on any offense. I watched him on a play where Pittsburgh runs a left WR on a skinny post route, and runs another guy to the left flat. Elam turns around and chases the deep guy even though the safety is all over that WR, and Rudolph is NEVER GOING TO MAKE THAT THROW. So the ball goes to the flat, Elam spins around and can’t make the tackle in space. His pick came in close quarters with nothing else for Elam to do but defend it. However. He looked super athletic turning around that quickly AND catching the ball. Give him that. He's no first round pick. This was a bad bad draft pick.

What about if a defender is out of bounds touching a teammate who’s inbounds touching the inbounds ball runner? New draft strategy: draft ten more Groots, hold hands across the field and dominate. The “we are the world” formation.

Fitzpatrick is one of the most physical players in the league. Man, he loves to hit. Diggs can be stupid or smart about what to do when Fitzpatrick has his hands on him. I’m glad he’s smart.

Shout out another “elite” HC like Mike Tomlin

All this contract talk and is Tomlin worth giving a lifetime deal to.., I just can’t believe he was dealt another WR1 head case. -

Looks like a young AFL Ralph Wilson to me. -
You know what sucks about these threads, this has been going on for over a decade. Now, all the sudden, we have threads on how illegal an illegal hit is on a sliding QB and that fake slide nonsense.

Injuries vs Steelers - Update from McDermott
Thrivefourfive replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wonder how well Allen can punt. Big, high, beautiful punts isn’t really necessary every time. Put Allen back there and go with the ol’ Run/Pass\Punt-Option. Works every time.
