lol and I read he was going to be absolute rubbish and we needed replacements for both Rapp and him by the general consensus. Then was repeatedly lambasted for holding reservations after one break out game… Full circle and the dichotomy of TBD! Do think he’s going to be a decent starter. He’s been consistent these last 4 games. That’s all I can ask for a player. Be consistently dependable. Like Belichick used to say. “Do Your Job”.

Oh i won’t dispute why they hired Carrol, just that Raiders team wasn’t good what he inherited and latching on to Geno instead of waiting it out, keeping your picks and trying to have a potential rebuild of the program 2 or 3 years down the line seems smarter than what he decided. That to me would be about becoming serious. Not putting your eggs in the basket of a guy drafted 13 years ago who’s only had 2 decent and 1 average year. All of which were year 10 onward. There was no way Geno and a rookie RB were turning that program around.

The fact that he’s not on the talk of a hot seat like some other first year coaches is maddening. I know he has a Super Bowl on his resume but he hand picked Geno, traded a relatively high pick for him and it’s not even averagely reasonable play they’ve received.

Thought he was great covering Egbuka. Especially seeing as that guy has dominated plenty games this year. Sometimes not noticing a guy, especially in the secondary at the CB level is, as we know, a good thing

These last 5 games Bishop has had have been great. Nice to see the consistency. That was about the only thing I ever doubted. Talented kid and looks like the light is finally on.

You’re right but they still put up 488 total yards on offense from 11 drives to San Fran’s 281 from 12... 2 bad throws that turned into INTs chasing the game, one trying to score at the end of the half and the other a late throw when he was scrambling to his right. Cardinals defense was abysmal. Not saying they would have won if it were better but the 9ers did whatever they wanted for most, if not all of the game. Texans defense is legit. Steelers defense has shown the capability to be top tier. Patriots still look competent even though they’ve tapered off from the first half of the year. Browns, nothing needs to be said. Eagles defense hitting their stride. Shut down an elite offense. That leaves the Jets who have been hit or miss and the Bengals who have been putrid. A backup on any of those 5 teams listed shouldn’t be classed as a cakewalk. I heard the Saints, Patriots, Falcons and Dolphins were going to be wins. Borderline sure things. We lost 3 of them and someone found our way to close out the Saints game. It’s a team effort. To boot, those same 5 teams have shown a very successful capability of running the ball for most or portions of the season.

Why, what happened? Missed the game until the failed fake punt.
