RD6: PICK 195, TANNER VALLEJO (OLB), Boise State
The BLUES Brothers replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed - they may have wanted Safety Xavier Woods but picked up a few ahead of us. Hope they find a role for this guy to help us. Surprised for a draft so deep in TE and RB that we didn't get one. Must have higher hopes for Logan Thomas and RB Jonathon Williams -
RD 5, Pick 171: Nathan Peterman (QB) - Pitt

They are saying on WGR he can throw in the wind - very different than C. Jones. -
Is this the most wide open draft in recent memory?

What games will you be attending this year?

Very Cool - you must be so very proud - we wish her well! Indy is a nice area - went to the 99th running of the Indy 500 and everyone was great all around the city. My son want to see the Bills Broncos game (so will plan on that) and believe I am going to Bills Buccaneers with a guy who knows Owners of the Bucs. -
How much for a non-season ticket holder? I tried to answer it myself and Googled "Bills Speaker Series" and the only available link was to this very post. Kudos on the idea btw

Wow - after reading more about him - he could make sense for us. He was pumped up in this link too: https://www.profootballfocus.com/draft-10-prospects-were-higher-on-than-most/ Dallas really wants him so could see us trading down with them but if we keep him as one of Coach's shiny new toys - its good with me.

Who's your no matter what pick?

Agree with This and would also add Adams - Any would look good in the red white and blue of The Buffalo Bills. -

Great article that was steeped in experience - can't wait to see one (or 2?) in a Bills uniform! -

Happy Sunday of Draft Week! This is a little dated but some interesting takes within this: http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/news/nfl-draft-2017-bills-rumors-picks-mock-projection-order-preview/116fdxw7hehji1wbed4csaitxm Within it is the second link: http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/news/nfl-draft-2017-quarterback-rumors-bears-eagles-browns-49ers/1sh4s33hm8jln1aj1kfmu5ijpd Need to golf to get my mind off the draft for a few hours... -
2017 NFL Mock Drafts & Top Prospects

Cool News - Thanks! Got to Love that it looks as if we are progressively trying to trade down as many engaged Fans want. I wonder if there may be a northeastern stand off if Wheelin' and Dealin' Whaley has a nice set up for us to trade down (Arizona?) to get more pics and Sean "steady as she goes" McDermott , not wanting to roll the dice, pressures us to make a pick. As a first year head coach - I am sure he doesn't want to miss on a blue chip guy. If we do trade down -you can feel the love and synergy of the united hierarchy. That being said - Sean seems like the kind of Coach that would grab an Offensive player to help his OC Dennison. If this were Vegas - I'd put $100 on an Offensive Player will be chosen (50/50 shot I'm wrong). Thanks for the heads up on DT Watkins! We grabbed Kyle Williams from a 5th round pick. If I am not mistaken - when we traded WR Eric Moulds to the Texans - we grabbed Mr. Williams. -
If I am Doug Whaley - I allow the Coach to be the one voice including with the Owners. Can you imagine if Whaley trumped Sean and got his guy in a power struggle? At any point of a lack of success - it would be a point of contention, all season long, with Sean; so why invite animosity? Wise people say that "People support what they help create." so let Sean specifically name at least the first 2-3 picks. As long as the players Sean wants is is/are talented guys - it will help support the relationship by acquiescing to "the process" and make it a win-win relationship. Personally I think Whaley is an easy target but is a grinder and will work to find guys that help here. We saw it with Hughes, Brown, Lorax, maybe now Logan Thomas, and confident it will continue here or elsewhere if we let him go.

Thank you, Kirby Jackson. We all want that "A" grade in the draft but you're right that these guys will praise the teams that agree with them and its the final grade (review in 3-4 years) that really counts. -

Mel Kiper on ESPN radio not sure how tape delayed it was... A Buffalo caller made it on line and Kiper said he didn't think QB position was worth trading up for and thinks the Bills will get OJ Howard (if he's there) or Mike Williams who should be there. A few other items is he says Kizer holds the ball way too long, disagrees with Mayock over Jabrill Peppers - Kiper said Peppers is a first round talent and Mayock doesn't. Thinks Dallas will trade up for a Pass Rusher. -

You're Welcome - glad you liked it, too. I guessed WR Corey Davis a month ago and sticking with it but would be good with Defense, too. I recall when we drafted Shane Conlan in '87 and his play helped us during our rise in the AFC East, of course Bennett added to that so if we go LB - I will hope it is some good karma coming round again. -

According to Andy Benoit of SI he said he thinks Trubisky's best place to go is Buffalo because of our run heavy offense. He watches a lot of film and is knowledgeable. The Interview (on John Murphy show) starts around 7:30 mark and he gets into the QB breakdown at 12 minute mark. I have never posted a link but here it is for anyone else as obsessed as I am about next week's draft: http://d3efjls8gnbg8i.cloudfront.net/1642018/119104644.mp3?rhihttphost=wgr550.hosted.cx Spoiler alert - surprisingly he didn't suggest the Bills draft any QB at 10 and he also said he doesn't think we will reach for a CB either - it was an Ah-ha moment for John Murphy, Donald Jones and me that McDermott's zone values speedy LBs and strong DL so much more than cover guys in his zone defense. I have read every page of this thread and appreciate the insight from you guys too. -
Reuben Foster Failed Drug Test at Combine
The BLUES Brothers replied to PolishDave's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I believe that is a Classic line from " The Blues Brothers" movie - I may have to watch that this weekend. Today on John Murphy show - Donald Jones broke down the LBs and said Foster has great athletic ability so you'd have to think that someone later in round one is going to pounce on this pick. -

Why do they always have us play Kansas City right when we need a big win! (Glad we are opening against the Jets though...) -

NFL evaluator Greg Gabriel feels the Bills are very serious about grabbing a QB in Round 1. Certain a QB pick will make a lot of fans happy - Some sportscasters saying they think he (MT) will be a star, but they said "he needs an Aaron Rodgers situation where he can sit and learn the ropes prior to starting"...and then they said - "but if he is picked high - that makes it harder to wait". -
Just back from the big Easter Feast get together - so much food, that , as it is said: the only problem going to my Mom's house is you always leave "fed up" .

That could be cool - Flutie gave such a spark when we needed it then....Funny - just today I showed my son an old box of Flutie Flakes that was buried in the basement - no contents just the box and I was going to let it go and he said we should keep it. What would also be amazing is if The trio of Bruce, Thurman, and Reed came back together since it was tough when they were all let go same time back in the day. We could also ask Frank Reich but he might get in some hot water missing game time from his own team -
NFL Draft matchmaker.....Adam Schein
The BLUES Brothers replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This was someone I thought was out of reach and wanted us to get after Gil-no-more bailed...but thanks as I wasn't aware our defense may not be great fit and still the concerns that his hammy could really pose issues. Then again - there were concerns over Thurman Thomas's knee coming out and he was such a horse for us. -
Thanks for the other places to check out while in Cleveland. I will PM for any insight you can offer. I also did so with the other kind offer in the thread (since he has Crohns) - any and all input is greatly appreciated. We saw Dr. Brezinski when there at Cleveland Clinic last time - the guy was so attentive. Some Doctors whisk you out in 15 minutes - this doctor spent 3 hours with us! The staff was also amazing and helpful - we were there over 5 days in January and the predisone had helped but as he is weaning off of it - it is flaring up again. He is a really good kid (huge Bills fan like his ol' man). It has been very tough for wife and I watching our son losing weight and being in pain, becoming anemic. but after reading the tragedy today with TE Heap's that rips your heart out - we are still blessed to be having great care and we want to beat this sooner than later. From the bottom of my heart Thank you all for the support.
