  1. In the modern NFL, what used to be called "Running Up The Score" is just how you play the game. Why? Because a playoff-caliber offense can rattle off 21+ points in 10 minutes. Atlanta lost the big dance up 28-3 at the half. You CANNOT aford to just trust your defense to hold up against playoff quality opposition, their coaches know this too, and that's why they don't quit. Offenses are too good, and coaches don't have to shake hands and take their medicine with time on the clock if their QB has a bad half and goes down three scores.
  2. Thanks for not posting spoilers guys. I'm not caught up with Season 2 yet, but I've heard very good things. Eisens right. He's the Mandolorian QB. This is the way.
  3. Then I hope he hates all the QBs in this draft besides Trevor Lawrence. Or that he likes JA better.
  4. Yeah, I think Houston is the real threat to poach Daboll. It's not an aggressive move to take your first HC gig against Mahomes/Reid. It's a foolhardy one, especially if you've got a wide open division and a franchise QB in place like everyone's said.
  5. Daboll is too smart and too disciplined to take a job with no QB, no talent, a joke GM and lunatic owners.
  6. I know, I said offseason, not postseason.
  7. We couldn't have asked for a better outcome. The Fins were confident in a lot of things before yesterday, and now they're wondering what they really know about their team. What they do know is what works against the rest of the League doesn't work against Buffalo in general, and Josh Allen in specific. Now they crash into the offseason dazed and confused, with a chance to squander an incredible position on this year's draft. Fannnnnnntastic.
  8. I'm thinking McD might surprise us here by being ruthless and playing the starters. Mostly to keep the Bills humming along in top form, but also to play up the narrative that Tua needs his bearded Binky from Harvard to hold his hand. I like the idea of recreating Kelly v Marino in Tua v Allen. But I want a scenario like Brady vs AFCE scrub of the week a lot more.
  9. "Bob, the just closed the rub n tug".
  10. It's not post cursed bills syndrome, it's because the Pats play dirty.
  11. It does. Smart Jets fans are about to take the bridge, and Adam Gase keeps his job for another week right?
  12. What's that staple play New England has had forever? Y Hoss Juke or Y Juke Hoss? The one where Brady play action faked a handoff then just throws the ball to a spot 4 feet off the ground, seven yards downfield exactly between the hashes? And every Pats WR from Troy Brown to Edelman could run and catch it with their eyes closed? Can he at least throw that one?
  13. I like his take. The NE Defense deliberately play light boxes to encourage other teams to run and to maximize their number of pass defenders. They know they can't win a shoot out, so slow the game down, keep the score close, and keep the other offense predictable in down and distance. If Daboll schemes up a way to throw on them and makes Cam chase the game, this could get real ugly. Gilmore's out, so this could be another "throw to Diggs until they stop it or don't, then throw to Beasly" sorta game.
  14. Oh come on! I'm a firm believer that trolls should have to eat their words for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  15. I wouldn't pay too much attention to beauty pageants like MVP or Coach of the Year. It's the NFL, and like any other sports league on the planet, the currency of excellence are trophies and championships. Let Brian Flores get some credit for turning the fish from a gag reel into a feel good story, nobody anywhere will forget McD if he makes the Bills 1-4 in the Superbowl this year. Then we can talk about him getting us to .500.
  16. I never thought I'd feel sorry for the Jets and their fans, but I do tonight. Holy hell Adam Gase can't even ***** up correctly. They're just spiraling now. How do you talk somebody like Daboll or Bienemi to take this job?
  17. Could be that Daboll found some structural faults in their defensive scheme/personnel. Saleh's been exposed.
  18. It was from the DNVR podcast, I expected some creativity. They did point out that the bills are 1-3 against teams that rush the ball 50% or more of the time. One loss is the hail murray and the one win was vs New England.
  19. Not impressed with the Broncos fan takes on beating JA. "Keep him in the pocket, don't let him extend plays! Make him go down the field every single drive!". What in gods name are you talking about? Josh Allen is a good quarterback AND he makes plays on the move. If you let him stand in the pocket, shuffling and scanning for 3+ seconds, expect to get torched. If you let him roll smoothly to his right with his eyes down field, expect to get torched. This is true for every good quarterback. You need to get him off his spot, make him pull the ball down, and get him sprinting so he can't throw, otherwise he'll poke 10-15 yard holes in your coverage all day.
  20. This. If you want them to stop spouting awful hot takes about the Bills, stopping feeding them clicks and views. Literally just ignore them.
  21. Oof, I feel for Dick LeBeau. A legendary DC in his time that the game left by the wayside.
  22. The Beane-McD-Frazier-Daboll-Farwell Branch of the Andy Reid coaching tree has built a playoff contender out of a laughingstock with Pegs help. If Daboll leaves for his shot at being the big guy, that's that, so long as Pegs let's him name his price and gets turned down first.
  23. Atrocious clock management by Cleveland. They couldn't stop traffic with a red light, but they go zipping down the field and leave a minute and change on the clock for Lamar. Come on.
