AJ Klein: Tremaine Edmunds "a True Mike"
Franco_92 replied to Thurman#1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That play was actually a success. He filled his gap, so the RB went to the A gap, and was stuffed by Hyde for no gain/a slight loss. With Tremaine's momentum and angle that were required to fill it, it is unreasonable to have expected him to stone that RB cold. He did his job perfectly on that play -
Can someone explain QBR & Allen's 75.2% QBR vs. SF???
Franco_92 replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Almost positive that 75 is a really good QBR. You might be mixing it up with passer rating which was like 139 last night. Mahomes has 31 TD and 2 picks, 8.2 ypa, 318 ypg, only 2 fumbles and has a season qbr of 85. Last year his was 79, the mvp year was 80. Had allen run a little more and not fumbled he'd be up there. This QBR is higher than 9 of bradys 15 seasons played since they started tracking -
Playoff Machine is up and running

I live here, and the last 3 dozen + times I've been in public, mask adherence has been PERFECT. Not nearly perfect, but perfect. don't be so accusatory when a seasonal virus surges during its, season. Or go ahead and do it, and why not do a rain dance as well just to be sure we get some precip. -
Is the Bills window smaller than thought?
Franco_92 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills have a window as long as Josh Allen is healthy and here. With all of our problems, and with all of the development he still needs to do before he's at his peak, we are 7-2 with the schedule that made everyone poop their pants, and exactly 1 scary team left on it the rest of the way (though several good teams). He will consistently get us to where we need to be to have a chance, even when the team is struggling elsewhere -
Tua Tagovailoa - Future of Miami?
Franco_92 replied to BillsM@fia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think it's about Tua as much as its about the 2 qbs available where they might be picking -
Their defense is not just as bad. They are giving up more than 100 yards per game more than the Bills do - 460 yards per game. That is horrendous, and has nothing to do with garbage time, as most of their games have been close all the way through. They're giving up 4 more points per game as well, which translates to being ranked 10 spots lower than the Bills (14th vs 24th). Their defense is a lot worse than ours. It is historically bad.

There is a point here, jokes aside. It's amazing how Klein gets absorbed by blocks. I swear I saw a RB hold him at the LOS, and he never got past it

I, too, wish AJ Klein was instead All-Pro Bobby Wagner

Postgame Thread Bills vs. Patriots
Franco_92 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We started 6-2 last year. There was so much discussion this offseason about the cake schedule, and how much harder this one is. We are 6-2 again. This schedule is about as hard as it gets in the NFL. A tough stretch is still to come, but Rams-Raiders-Titans-Chiefs, complete with COVID schedule issues, was almost as tough as this coming one IMO. Again, this year's schedule was far harder, and we are 6-2. I'm worried about obvious holes. Most teams do the same. I am thrilled that we gutted the Patriots in a close game at the end, like they did to us so many times. -
I really saw coaching come into play twice, standing out more than it usually does. A decisive TD drive to open the 3rd quarter. Excellent. And then, when my gut sank as I realized the kick was onside, knowing that we absolutely gave it up...until I saw that we were mentally prepared for it, and it wasn't even close. Coaching did well with the players that came to play today.

We had trouble finishing drives against the Jets in week 1 as well, though we managed a few times early - lots of long drives ended in FGs (2), missed FGs (1), or Allen turnovers fairly deep into Jets territory (2). We didn't punt at all this week and ended 10 drives in field goal range, and had 422 yards of offense. When this happened in week 1, we proceeded to put up 13 offensive touchdowns in our next 3 games. I'm not worried about the offense

I'd like to see Moss featured tomorrow...

Moss's entire NFL career is a bunch of the above sample. I don't want to see him featured in anything -

Week 5: Bills at Titans on Tuesday Night Football
Franco_92 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Allen hasn't been wearing visors for games. Is he slowly trying to work one in for eventual full time use? -
Week 5: Bills at Titans on Tuesday Night Football

Failing at basic math will be a key long term takeaway from the last 10 months quite frankly -
Yeah, though that DT wasn't one of them. And while nobody should violate rules, perspective is in order. A handful of guys violated strict protocols to attend an event that, in a normal year still packed full of all kinds of endemic viruses of all shapes and sizes, they'd attend 100 of. They could have caught covid there, which is why the rules are the rules, but chances aren't particularly high that they did, just like you don't get sick every single time you go outside of yourself and expose yourself to dozens of thousands of potential pathogens/viruses/bacteria.

Or peak-performance physiques and well rounded diets. Well, they do, but they certainly don't utilize those tools as well as NFL players! -

Yeah your post more triggered my memory of people doing this, than actually doing it itself. -

Its quite possible that the Titans violated protocol (and regardless of how you feel about protocols, rules are rules and violations should be punished) but i don't really like the way some people have gone after tennessee like they obviously did stuff wrong, before all the facts are available (I haven't followed closely - perhaps we now know they did). Viruses are crazy. A naval ship quarantined for 14 days, and then had an outbreak at sea 5 weeks into having no contact on shore. You can take measures to reduce your chance of infection, but you cannot control every last aerosol particle. -
Postgame Thread: Bills at Raiders
Franco_92 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't really like how the Bills choose to end games, like many others who have noted all of the onside kicks we deal with in games we have 2 score 4th quarter leads. I wish the bend was a little less bendy, etc. At the same time, have the Bills, in McD's tenure, lost a game because of this? I don't think they have, though I might be forgetful. It seems to work. -
Huge play that nobody is talking about

Pat McAfee says that nowadays kicks happen so fast that the onus of laces being out actually falls on the long snappers, who can rotate the ball incredibly precisely. If true, laces were Reid's fault. -
The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19
Franco_92 replied to Hedge's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Judging by the reactions of typical fans in the titans thread, I guess we are still going to pretend this was the virus we feared in March rather than the one we have data on now. Sometimes I have little hope for humans
