  1. I was thinking about this the other day given all the discussion about the pacing. These guys have been doing this for 10 years, and I'm sure they hope to do something else in their careers, rather than one hit wonders....
  2. Yes, I suppose she could fly home to Dario in Mereen? There has to be resolution between her and Jon and Tyrion though? Again, my expectations are tempered. It seems these last two seasons have been something like: we know where we want to go, so let's just get there and end this project. There have been fantastic episodes and filming, but the evolution of some of the characters have been as rushed as their rush to end it all. Eight is enough.
  3. Load up on the run, meaning 8 in the box, leaving Foster and Brown on the outside with one of them guaranteed single coverage....I like it.
  4. The moral of the story: we can all come together to defeat an external existential threat, but once done we're back to us doing the exterminating (the only wise thing that Tyrion has said in the past two seasons). Might as well have been the dead that did it, but "burn them all" brings the story full circle... With Drogon, the Unsullied, and Dothraki still alive, I don't see a way to resolve the story if Dany is killed. If she survives, then she'd have to kill off her remaining rivals--Jon, Sansa, and Tyrion. They may have to pull something off completely unexpected and unbelievable to close it out. We'll see soon enough...
  5. What position is he playing in his tryout?
  6. Ahhh, yes. I expected Bran to have a much bigger role in the outcome; maybe not...
  7. So many things to ponder on how the show will end, and, at this moment, I can't imagine an ending that would leave me satisfied. Maybe it's best to just "burn them all..."? That said, there is one very important (to me at least) incident that happened in the show, and it certainly seemed it was done for a reason, that has to come into play before it ends: in the scene at the Tower of Joy, Bran calling out after his father who reacted to it, and Bran saying "he heard me." Will there be a point where he tries to change recent history? If not, what was the point of that scene? I think I better temper my expectations for these last two episodes...
  8. Wonder if we’ll see Bronn show up tonight? Will he take Tyrion’s offer that’s always been on the table or his life? Or maybe Bronn meets his death at the hand of Pod? so many questions...
  9. They averaged 22 in Allen's last 6 games, so it shouldn't be difficult to jump that hurdle. In fact, I could easily see them do better--26 ppg would put them in the top 10 (based on 2018).
  10. Between Brown and Foster, I expect they will have the ability for a quick strike at any moment in any drive. That fear of the deep ball will open up everything else. It will be as good as Allen is...
  11. "7 alarming blowouts" how many were there After Allen came back? who was the QB for most of them? not much thought went into that statement
  12. someone I see occasionally was in the room, and I saw him a few days before the draft. When he told me he was going to be in the room, I expressed something similar to your thoughts, and told him how jealous I was. Looking forward to the next time I see him so I can ask a few questions...
  13. I'm surprised they shared so much info. Great stuff!
  14. Hard to get any read on the guy until he goes up against nfl competition.
  15. Yep. Did my usual and watched it the second time on iPad with subtitles. Despite that military stupidity of sending the Dothraki to take on the dead, it was a fantastic way to set the mood: Starting with Fear (of the unknown dead army), hope (when Melisandre lights the swords), absolute dread, as the swords are extinguished and a handful of Dothraki (and Jorah) return...awesome stuff! Sometimes it's the little things that leave an impression on me. As I mentioned, I really liked that quick shot of a Whitewalker turning his head and woosh of breeze (of Arya) going by. Reminded me of the shot of Ghost stirring just before John Snow came back to life. In the discussion after the episode, B&W did say that the Weirwood tree at Winterfell was the same one where the Children of the Forest created the Night King. Fitting.
  16. Cersei's army is made up of mercenaries from across the sea. I don't know if it will come into play, but there are over a million people in Kings landing, very few of which like the current seat holder....
  17. I always watch it the second time on my iPad using subtitles as I always miss things in the first go, then we'll watch the previous episode as it leads into the new one.
  18. This was a pleasant surprise. It looks like his trade stance is paying off, as changes in the trade balance contributed a full 1% out of the 3.2% rise. This will most likely be the most important factor for the remainder of the year.
  19. Re Arya, I did like the subtle quick shot of a white walker turning his head and the whoosh of something going by. Also appropriate the NK was killed in front of the Weirwood tree--could it be same one where he was created by the children? my wife thinks Arya will survive it all and have Gendry's child. I'm doubtful. She's already saved mankind...
  20. Normal rotation: group 1: Shaq Star Ed Jerry group 2: Murf Harry JPhillips Yarbrough nickel pass rush: Murphy Zo Mr Ed. Jerry short yardage: Star sandwiched by Phillips.
  21. They'll have $26-$27 million after signing rookies--top 51 count until the season starts. Current salary @51=$645k, so bottom 4 draft picks will not impact top 51 rule. Top 4 picks projected at $6.36 mil, but the current lowest 4 salaries will be bumped off, which is about $2.6 mil. the net increase is About $3.8 mil., leaving them with about $26.8 mil. Plenty of room for another signing if they want. 53+PS will bring it down about $3 million, so roughly $24 mil going into the 2019 season. There will be a few more costs like injury settlements. There will be some cost-saving cuts too. Ducasse and Bodine will save $3-4 mil.
  22. Until the season starts, its top 51, so half of their picks won't count, and the ones that do, will push people off making about $650k. Bottom line, it's about $4 mil.
  23. I can see the Bills trading up to late second for some O help. Warring? Montgomery? WR?
