  1. Simms is a great listen and has some very positive things to say about Allen and the Bills. Includes a lot of other interesting takes as well, especially his view of Giants pick Jones. Bills Mobile: Chris Simms: "I really would be shocked if Josh Allen doesn't go out there and assert himself as one of the better QBs" https://www.buffalobills.com/audio/chris-simms-i-really-would-be-shocked-if-josh-allen-doesn-t-go-out-there-and-ass
  2. Jerry led the DL in snap count last year. A better shaq could allow them to go a bit easier on him in his 30s...?
  3. Those are elite numbers and two of the most relevant ways to measure effectiveness of a pass rusher. How many sacks, for example, are the result of the player who disrupted the QB forcing him to move from the pocket? On a negative note, jerry may be the all-time leader of "in the grasp but didn't record the sack" ...
  4. Interesting tidbit from Joe B that they are trying Shaq on the right side as Jerry's back up. That's the side he played at Clemson, so maybe he's more comfortable there.
  5. Very sorry to hear this. RIP NJS.
  6. please don't call him "JP"...
  7. Ryan Talbot can scratch off his first "biggest questions of OTAs...."
  8. I’d guess most were through “free” TV...
  9. Absolutely! Tormund as much as said it at the celebration after defeating the dead.
  10. I was trying to stay with my sports metaphor/cliche (as opposed to the producers') and relate it to my adopted city...
  11. Well, since I tried to go into this with low expectations, I'm not so disappointed. The Starks win the championship! (Say that 3 and 1/2 times). Despite being the obvious choice, I did not foresee Bran's crowning moment coming. I made a comment to my wife in the middle of last night's finale, it would be funny as hell if Bronn won.... I told her last week that Jon would probably end up in the North because there would be nothing left for him if/when Dany died. The endings for Arya and Sansa were appropriate, as was the final shot of Jon and the Wildings heading into the true north. Moral of the story: no matter how many times or how often you've been beaten down, the good people in the north (Buffalo) will win someday...
  12. I’m rooting for him, but there’s better competition this year, which is a good thing.
  13. This ranking seems to me to be a silly thing to be irritated with. First, as @Virgil mentioned, there is currently no identifiable starter at CB2--how many different guys started there last year? Why would any media outlet rank a team in their top whatever when they can't even tell you who their CB2 is? Second, while all NFL Ds attempt to work as a unit, I would say that McD's D absolutely depends on all parts of the D working together for its success, especially in the passing game. In fact, his LBs may be just as important as his DBs??? How is it they can plug in guys throughout the season and still make it work? It's more the system than the talent, but talent sure helps. The Bills D is very good because McD's system and coaching make "the whole greater than the sum of its parts." I think this is why the Pats are always so good as well--it has more to do with Belichick getting them to play as a unit than their talent. The D returns almost complete, with (maybe) 2 exceptions: Oliver and whoever wins the CB2 spot. That continuity will make the unit even better this year, as will an O that is capable of scoring more and staying on the field more. This is going to be a very stingy defense and should keep them in every game. Who gives a rats ---- what the national media think at this point?!? The accolades will come with Ws and a playoff berth.... Pancho Power.
  14. Who did they trade up with?
  15. Enjoyed the analysis. I'll pick a nit though, he insinuated Beane was responsible for drafting Milano.
  16. I've seen people counter this with, "check out his freshman game against Oklahoma." 7 tackles and 2 sacks.
  17. So the end result of the Ragland trade is it was used to move up for Knox. We'll see how it pans out...
  18. No wonder they need to end this thing!
  19. I was thinking about this the other day given all the discussion about the pacing. These guys have been doing this for 10 years, and I'm sure they hope to do something else in their careers, rather than one hit wonders....
  20. Yes, I suppose she could fly home to Dario in Mereen? There has to be resolution between her and Jon and Tyrion though? Again, my expectations are tempered. It seems these last two seasons have been something like: we know where we want to go, so let's just get there and end this project. There have been fantastic episodes and filming, but the evolution of some of the characters have been as rushed as their rush to end it all. Eight is enough.
  21. Load up on the run, meaning 8 in the box, leaving Foster and Brown on the outside with one of them guaranteed single coverage....I like it.
  22. The moral of the story: we can all come together to defeat an external existential threat, but once done we're back to us doing the exterminating (the only wise thing that Tyrion has said in the past two seasons). Might as well have been the dead that did it, but "burn them all" brings the story full circle... With Drogon, the Unsullied, and Dothraki still alive, I don't see a way to resolve the story if Dany is killed. If she survives, then she'd have to kill off her remaining rivals--Jon, Sansa, and Tyrion. They may have to pull something off completely unexpected and unbelievable to close it out. We'll see soon enough...
  23. What position is he playing in his tryout?
