The Deep State War Heats Up
TPS replied to Deranged Rhino's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I would think that anyone who believes there is a corrupt deep state not only within the US but also connected to other nation-states would view this as a take down of those who are trying to expose the group. It's not a good day for those trying to shed light on a corrupt world... -

I'll pass on this one to let others have some fun. I had the Jests.

At last... In order to fight fire with Fire, the New Jersey football Jets, with the third overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft, take their own Josh Allen DE Kentucky. The Raiders of Oakland or Vegas or...somewhere and @Joe in Winslow are on the clock. the jests sorely need someone who can put heat on the QB, especially his namesake, and they (we) believe Allen is the best edge pass rusher in the draft. Yeah QWill is tempting, but Allen is the bigger need and an ideal 3-4 fit.

The Jets have run out of fuel during the wait....

People will drop off. I got in on the final one last year which I believe went 3 rounds. There will be openings.

Interesting little take on their change in focus regarding the need to pressure Brady up the middle. https://www.patspulpit.com/2017/5/15/15640270/patriots-have-made-a-major-shift-in-offensive-line-draft-strategy

Why I think T.J. Hockenson, TE Iowa, will be the #9 pick

Why I think T.J. Hockenson, TE Iowa, will be the #9 pick
TPS replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Believe me, I really like the idea of Hockenson, but going forward I think it'll be a lot easier to draft a potential all pro TE than a potential all pro DL if you're continuously drafting at 20 or worse. I agree that a great TE could certainly help Josh, but I don't think that will determine whether or not he is a franchise QB. Btw, the one game I went to last year was the Jags, and I mentioned to my friend, after Josh did some amazing thing, "it looks like the Bills have their franchise QB." So, in Beane I trust... -

@Inigo Montoya I certainly like him and would be happy with the pick, but... if you’re McBean and you believe this is the last top 10 pick you’ll have over the next 5-7 years, would you rather draft an all pro at DL or at TE with this pick? I think the answer is DL. -
Certainly, they are still working towards having a strong roster , and Beane has stated that FA is a way to fill holes so you aren't reaching in the draft. The two immediate needs for 2019 are 3T DT and TE. For the O-line, Dawkins and Morse are Set, and now Teller can develop, as I think he is a future starter. They can draft someone to develop at RT now, as they can sit behind Nsekhe for 2 years. As I see it, they will create the foundation for longer term stability over the next 2 years. Yhey can also draft RB and OLB in a later round for development. My speculation on the draft this year is they will try to get one of the elite DL prospects because (they believe) this will be the last year in the top 10 for quite some time--they need a young stud, all-pro type to be the face of the Dline during the Allen era. For this reason, I'd be shocked if they went TE first. As wawrow hinted, and I agree now, I could see them moving up to get someone. I don't think any of the first 4 teams willl trade back to 9, but I Luds see TB or NYG doing so with picks 5 and 6. Should be another entertaining Bills draft with Beane wheeling and dealing.

Looking at the individual stats, he was 21st in net avg and 17th in gross. There's some talent to work with there.

What's good with the nomination? What great economic wisdom does mr cain espouse? A return to 19th century economics... Trump surprised me again, as I said he would be hard-pressed to find a worse pick than Moore....

I'm just happy that *%$#& @wppete isn't picking in front of me this time!

Bills host OG Quinton Spain from Titans***Update...SIGNED***

It's a significant upgrade "on paper," mainly because of Morse. Having a top end center to direct the O-line, with Dawkins being most likely the youngest member, should raise the level of play significantly. Obviously they will will need time to become a cohesive unit, but definitely better.
