  1. There should be fewer "Whaley sucks!" threads....
  2. Maybe appropriate for the past 15 years or so...Sunday Bloody Sunday, U2
  3. End up with Tom Modrak...
  4. I expected them to be 5-3 at the half-way mark, which is a very real possibility. I don't know about beating the Jets in Jersey. They are the number 1 defense (hello Rex!) and our offense is sputtering without its play-makers.
  5. Just came over to check if there was an update--great news! Welcome home.
  6. Get well Bill. Looking forward to one hell of a post after the Bills win Sunday!
  7. One thing I noticed about their sack totals, 13 of their 15 came at home.
  8. as I posted in another thread about the quality of the current coaching staff, one has to go back to the Wade years to find a staff as good as this one...
  9. My favorite interview of all the bills coaches, including Rex. http://www.buffalobills.com/video/videos/Dennis-Thurman-Well-compete-with-them/e0962c54-be0c-40b3-a60c-515428384372 I don't mean this interview, I just enjoy listening to him. Hope he gets an opportunity at HC soon.
  10. I think one has to go back to the Wade Phillips years find a better staff than this one....
  11. This will be a great match up between the Bills' D and the Bengals' O, which will determine the outcome of the game. Much like the Bills when healthy, the Bengals have a lot of weapons. The D will have to hold them to < 20, which may be asking too much. Even if they do, I'm not sure the Bills O can score more, given the injuries. Bengals 23 Bills 17
  12. That 'splains it!
  13. I saw the Bengals @ Bills two years ago, and the Bills lost in OT. Now, unless they played 6 home games between that one....
  14. bills will score more than 20 and hold the Titans to < 20.
  15. Having raised the question in the summer of whether Ryan's D would be better than the Schwartz D, I have to say it's a bit premature to pine for the Schwartz at the moment. Let's at least wait until the half-way mark to make any judgments...
  16. This match-up should be the canary that tells us if the players got the message about personal foul penalties and holding their emotions in check. Lewan will be trying to push Jerry's button...
  17. As so often happens in the NFL, and sports in general, favored teams "read the headlines" and act as if being favored to win means they will win. The Bills came out flat, and the Giants were pumped. The mistakes meant they could not recover.
  18. Yep, 4 games is way too early to judge this team. I predict the band will jump back on the wagon by the half way mark...
  19. They will definitely win 3, and have a chance to sweep 4 with the Bengals at home. When I looked at the schedule prior to the season, I thought they would be lucky to be 2-2 at this point. They lost to the best team in football and a team most likely to win the NFCE. After this letdown, they will be pumped up to beat Tenn, and they will be motivated as a home underdog against the Bengals. They will beat the Jags in London, but then I would worry about another letdown against Miami at home, especially if they are 5-2 heading into it.
  20. While there is much focus on the Bills' failings, the Giants are a good team with a top tier QB. Yes, the Bills should've won this game, but this is no where near losing a game like they lost in Oakland last year.
  21. I'm pretty sure he said the same thing in either the post-game presser or his Monday presser.
  22. Giants will give the Bills a good battle. Home field advantage and the crowd should give the Bills the edge. 31-24 Bills. Hoping Goodwin is ready to come back to put some speed opposite of Harvin if Watkins can't go.
  23. im not sure it humbled him, and it's still bothering him by his reaction in today's Presser.
  24. How about putting these in the negative post thread? And to be fair, "can we go 8-1" goes in the positive thread...:-)
  25. I'm surprised Clay's ***cough*** bad knee(s) didn't buckle on that juke and cut....
