  1. I agree completely. I lump the two parties together. A puppet master had two hands...
  2. Yeah, that last part. People have short memories. Bush-Cheney did their fair share of presidential orders.
  3. Precisely the problem, which was created by hiring someone on the D side of the ball with a completely different philosophy.
  4. The main difference for the Bills last year was Schwartz. I'll give credit to Marrone for the hire, but the change in D is the reason the team was better last year. I agree with you on this year, and it's the same explanation, the D is the reason.... Re Sabres, the team is moving in the right direction under Murray. They are better than last year, and I will bet money they will be better next year.
  5. You can't have totalitarianism without that first part, "total". Subservience to the government, that includes republicans....
  6. I can't judge him, since I haven't seen that much of him, but I also won't rely on an article that ranked him last after only 4 games, and coming back from an injury.
  7. It happens at this time of year....
  8. Their CBs sucked last year. Revis, Cromartie, and Skrine were substantial additions which filled their weakest area on D.
  9. So, you agree with the point made, there were NO substantial additions other than the coach?
  10. You misinterpreted me then, because I'm with you on that. I was comparing how they made mistakes early with the Sabres, but eventually, I believe, got the right hire. I think Kim got sucked in by Ryan. I was one who wanted Schwartz and questioned Ryan's fit with this D.
  11. The point, would you say all of these were NOT substantial additions? It's simply not true the only difference for the Jets is the coach. It is true with the Bills though on D.
  12. I don't think the Pegulas have righted the Bills yet. Ryan was not the right hire. They made mistakes early on with the Sabres too, but I think they've fixed it with Murray.
  13. Let's not go too far there. You can't say Revis and Cromartie are not substantial additions.
  14. This is starting to become a popular topic. Glad I was ahead of the curve on this... http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/178856-the-defense-hype-vs-stats/?hl=hype This one was posted earlier today. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/183834-rex-ryan-defenses-and-points-allowed/
  15. Unfortunately being injured during most of the preseason, and Butler's solid play, did him in. Another good pick by Whaley and his crew.
  16. They hired Tim Murray. Good move. A lot of talent on the team now. Murray hired a good coach. If you can't see this, then you suffer from myopia...
  17. I think Kim bought what Rex was selling, and that sealed the deal. They made some early mistakes with the Sabres, but have righted that ship. The D personnel was suited for last year's system. Bad decision indeed.
  18. No complaint from me. That was sarcasm.
  19. Roughly the same D personnel last season kept ppg at 18. The windbag has it at a TD higher. Yep, that's all on Whaley....
  20. personnel evaluators, though I think they've built a good roster. Whaley didn't destroy this defense.
  21. The combination of Whaley, monos, and fisher is the best personnel group this team has had in decades. Sure, go ahead and blow it up...
  22. I did the same comparison awhile back, here. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/178856-the-defense-hype-vs-stats/?hl=hype
  23. One warned us about the mitary establishment and the other took them on, in a way. In other news, it's finally that time of the season...when PPP gives me more cheer than TSW...
  24. It's definitely more appealing to me now.
  25. So they were created to punish the rich? It may not be explicitly stated, but that is an outcome of a progressive system. It tends to lessen inequality, and redistribute income from those who save more to those who spend more. Of course, once that "productive" class buys Congress, they put in loopholes that allow them to "pay less than Warren Buffett's secretary"....
