I can appreciate that your are "having fun" but you are bordering on trolling. We have a NEW OC a very new mix on our O line. THIS could be disasterous for a rookie with no real NFL experience. Laugh it off all you want but I believe there have been QBs injured in thier rookie years and THAT injury resulted in them "playing scared" and ruined any potential they may have had. I believe that a great many here who are calling to hold Allen out for a bit, are everybit as excited about his prospect (I know I am ). BUT BUT BUT are worried that throwing him in there behind and untested offensive line and ALL of the offense inexperienced with the new playbook COULD be a recipe for disaster! Personally, I do NOT want Allen starting until Daboll has a chance to get his feet wet with his NEW TEAM.

What are YOUR expectations if Allen wins the start?
cd1 replied to #34fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sorry but as much as I would like to speculate this year it is NOT just a new quarterback! 2018 New Quarterback New Offensive Coordinator New Playbook New/untested Offensive line I HATE to think that they would rush Allen into the game (even if he is the best QB) before the OC and offensive line gets settled in. While testing the new system, I'd asoon they risk Nate or AJ - NOT our Future Franchise guy. YMMV -
Thing is... Nobody faults Jones for passes over his head or in the stands (aka Taylor). Unfortunately, we all witnessed way too many incidences where the ball went through his hands or bounced off his body, etc. NFL WRs are paid to catch balls that get within arms reach. The ones that can't catch the balls are called "fans". If it walks like a Hardy and talks like a Hardy, most of us start getting very suspicious (especially us old timers who don't have many more years to waste )

I think he may have enough to win the QB competition BUT I would vote for whoever wins out number two to start the season. My reasoning is that we have no idea how the offensive line will hold up they may require tweaking. PLUS - have no idea how the new plays and play calling will fare. I'd just a soon iron out all the wrinkles a bit BEFORE putting our Rookie under center.

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Credit Where Credit Is Due

Nice write up, Shaw. Looks like it will end up taking between 5 to 10 years to recover from Ralph Wilson putting the Bills in "life support" mode. That said, I am thrilled to see us finally reviving!!! YMMV -
Who is suppose to be in this photo? No Edmunds?

Swagger... Up until the actual game, that is... Ha Ha - By game time the swagger became stagger and the rest is history. ????? -
Seriously? Respect? Respect for proven cheaters and BULLIES that will run up the score on opponents whenever they get the chance. Respect? Come on.... They may win a lot of games BUT if you truly are goat - why cheat?

Start Allen from Day 1/ QB competition

Rookie OC ( for all intents and purposes) Daboll in new to this team. He needs to evaluate personnel and design plays for THIS TEAM. Undoubtedly, he will find that some plays won't work as well as others based on personnel deficiencies. -

Brian Daboll - Rookie OC ( for all intents and purposes) I don't care how good Allen looks, the Bills have another "rookie" with an (unproven) important role. I think it will be imperative to let Daboll get his feet wet and settle his playbook/personnel arrangement BEFORE allowing Allen take a snap. The Bills offense is going to go through a lot of "growing pains" in 2018 - It is my hopes that they experiment with less important QBs. All that said - I can't wait to see Allen in the game. -
I can't help but think that Fantasy Football [(and to some extent the modern FA) has had negative effect on NFL TEAM support. Now, a great many "fans" are fans of players - they support players. They think of the TEAM as the management (owners, coach, GM) Support your TEAM? - WTF! Your mileage may vary

A dropped pass is a dropped pass! High school is for fun - NFL players get $$$$ to CATCH the BALL -

I some of those throws... Open dump off guys and he goes deep. I'm not mad either. Kelvin Benjamin will be on the other end of a that now. Edited 7 hours ago by Ja Yeah - KB OR Zay Jones - we have nothing to worry about... -
Daboll had a "specific plan" for Josh Allen if the Bills drafted him.

I think the biggest question is - Are the Bills going to find a coach to work on refining and enhancing Allen's techniques OR are they just going to try to work around him flaws and all. PLEASE - for the love of GOD - bring in a coach to help Allen work on him footwork etc. ex: Jordan Palmer. DaBoll has his plate FULL just coming up with a playbook and our QB coach ???? -
Do we have the worst QB situation in the league?
cd1 replied to Seanbillsfan2206's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
His NFL body of work to date suggests otherwise. That's not to say he can't prove the doubters wrong, but as of now you have no evidence with which you may support that statement. I'd have to say that at this point Peterman and Zay Jones are in the same "prove it" bucket. How long will it take to move finally move past the stench of poor performance? Maybe it is like when a headache finally goes away - you never really notice the moment it is gone. Peterman may never get another shot, at least with the Bills. Zay will be on a VERY short leash! -

Those are just the women swimming in the shallow end with you. Sad testimony... -
Unfortunately, TAILGATING @ Bills games is getting a real bad rep. - See County Exec. concerns. A the current rate, the "tailgating issue" may be a great incentive to move stadium downtown and stop the tailgating once and for all! (At least on public property) If I was a betting person, I would say that is exactly what they do. So - break them while you can, breakers. You are the ones that will kill it for everyone.
