  1. What an original and refreshing topic.
  2. Nope, he’s never asked me.
  3. Thinking on the throne for 34 years may have…..implications.
  4. I find it is healthier not to dwell on things I can’t control. I’m concerned, but I’m spending little time thinking about it so far. It’s genetics, I think, like turtles knowing what to do when they are born. Survival. I can’t get worked up. Yet.
  5. Which game? Not much. Too soon.
  6. Thx, I now know I’m going to the Hobnob for lunch tomorrow. The relief of having that decision behind me is a weight lifted. 😊
  7. There is an ebb and flow to every game. I generally say go for it, but it’s not a formula. You need to know the feel of the game for me to make a call.
  8. It wasn’t before officiating, it was DURING! That was his homily! Oh, and they have been happily married for 50+ years and she is faithfully caring for him with his Parkinson’s. Odd comments, indeed. We still talk about that after all these years. He was old and may have been hitting the holy wine. My sister was 8 years older, so I barely knew her until I was in college. I learned what crowd she hung with when after that reception her blonde college buddy stripped down nekkid behind the beachfront hotel and went for a dip. She was fun! I shouldn’t be surprised since her husband was at Woodstock.
  9. The Priest at my sister’s wedding went on a rant about not being sure why we even bother! Half of them end up divorced anyway! Well, thank you for those warm words on the day of my sister’s wedding, Fr Timlin. Yes, we still remember and talk about you. I’m in church thinking WTF about the priest. This may not end well for me. .
  10. That does show proper respect for his position. I like it.
  11. Wait, if Hackett is the Village Idiot, what is the owner? Chief Village Idiot?
  12. I recall him being mentioned as a candidate to replace McD. Really. Probably not so much now.
  13. KEF speakers are for the surround sound powered by the Marantz. Sonos are totally independent. I think you’re correct that there is a setting on the receiver that I need to find to get the rear KEF speakers working when we use the TV for music. It’s great when there is music in a movie, but not as good when just streaming music. .
  14. Nope, just have them scattered around the house and run off our phones. I can watch TV w/ surround sound in the family room while the wife listens to music around the house. .
  15. I have a Marantz receiver for surround sound, but I’m afraid to start playing with settings. The Sonos we just control with our phones. I may need to look for the manual and see what I can do without messing things up.
  16. About 5-7 years ago I met a Chief’s fan in a hotel bar in Sarasota. My hotel totally lost power and they had to bump us up to his hotel. He was a great guy and insisted on us connecting and we did drunken things on our phones. He was dying for me to see his box, and I was with my wife. He wanted us for a playoff game! I’ll be damned if I had any clue how to find him, but I know he’s in there. It would be priceless to record him when I ring him up! Remember me? I didn’t like the “over-connecting” then, and I don’t like it now.
  17. Time and space, we know this is all an illusion anyway.
  18. They have partnered with Sports Illustrated to keep afloat. I get it. “Can’t we beat him at a more decent hour???”
  19. Can you give us a description of this goat? How do we know……
  20. I was thinking more like the Nashville skyline with the Batman (AT&T) building, but I want him to surprise me!
  21. What would a Josh Allen drawing of that picture look like???
  22. I noticed the “ESPN” in the top corner. That saved me from clicking.
  23. What shade of blue are we talking about?
  24. My early years were in Hamburg and I went to check it out a few years ago. Very nice little area and I want to go back when I have more time on another trip. Anyway, Colin Cowherd has mentioned multiple times how his wife used to cover Buffalo for her work. She tells him they are the nicest people you will find anywhere. I agree.
  25. It was certainly not for his sliding ability! He looked like a baby giraffe out there. By all accounts he was a very fine young man. People wanted him to do well. He would have been a fine face for the franchise.
