I was excited about the cheap concessions at Mercedes Benz Stadium……until I went three different times to get something and gave up because the lines were so long I’d miss the game completely. That article was from 2018 and my experience was around then (when did the Bills play there?). Hopefully they have worked out the kinks. I have been back there, but only for MLS in a club. Oh my! They do THAT right!!!

Nothing more delicious than gruel with your tailgate! I guess that would give you a good solid base for the turmoil ahead. 🤷‍♂️

The Atlanta Braves stadium has a mini-museum built along one of the concourses. I’m not much into baseball or museums, but I liked the way they blended that in. Cool idea.

I am mystified as to why Butch Byrd isn’t up there.

I don’t remember the trains, but down in the man cave we have a bunch of those old cartoon program covers from the early 60’s framed. I had boxes of those programs as a kid, but I got this dozen or so covers on-line recently.

Decades ago we bought a house a dentist had left vacant for more than a year. After closing he was very earnest in telling me he had stashed $2,500 cash somewhere, but he could never remember where he put it. There were many nooks and crannies in this house, and I think I looked in every one of them. This guy wasn’t evil or funny enough to be pulling my leg, he believed it. But I should have had one eye on the wife when he mentioned it! 😂

It has gotten crazy. I have DTV Dish as it’s the only way I get NFLN. But we we have DTV Streaming for regular TV. Then we have Prime, of course, so we get those games. And YouTube for Sunday Ticket. I feel like I’m missing something….. But you know what? It’s all 100% my choice. I don’t LIKE higher prices and more subscriptions, but as long as people continue paying the prices they will continue to rise. This will be a balancing act and I wish I could invest in the owners. It’s not just the NFL, it’s all of sports and more broadly entertainment. We will pay for our entertainment. I don’t resent the comedians we payed $200/head to see last weekend. It was our decision. I don’t resent the owners either, even if that is unpopular with some.

Owners do not sneak in in the middle of the night and steal money from under your mattress. I know there is all kinds of stuff going on behind the scenes, but this is a negotiated transaction between elected officials and the owners. I know this is a sore subject for many, and I’m not looking to incite anyone, but are the owners stealing it, or are the politicians stealing it? Or are you just mad? The politicians just do what they think they need to do to keep their jobs. Maybe they read the room a little better than you do?

I’m not sure how the Heathrow Express differs from the regular Tube, and maybe I need to know, but Thursday is the 5th. My flight arrives about 8am local time on Thursday morning which is a bit awkward, but hopefully I can get some sleep on the flight for a change.

Sometimes you have moments in life where you realize something is not like all the other things. My brother-in-law is a scratch golfer, but you don’t have to see him hit a ball to know that. There mere sound of the ball makes you aware that he’s the best player at Top Golf. And to serious golfers, he’s just pretty good. There is another level far, far above that. I’ve played with professional tennis players before, and it seems that they play by different laws of physics. Josh is one of one. There are some other greats, of course, but nobody has his exact blend of talents.

Yep, my wife alerted the credit card companies and the bank for our joint checking/ATM so we were covered. Unfortunately, I didn’t notify my little community bank and my ATM card was a no-go. I just don’t want to arrive with zero currency so I feel a little better. .

Just a little PSA here……. I picked up my Pounds at the bank today. We were in Europe in the spring and I waited too long to order and they didn’t have enough time to get me Euros. It takes about a week to get foreign currencies at our bank. We were using a credit card for just about everything until we realized the credit cards had a $3 transaction fee every time we used it. Those fee are really annoying if you’re buying a bottle of water for a couple bucks!

That was the first thing I thought of. That was one I still need to see one more time. I did NOT see that coming…….Even after I saw it happen! Yes, confusing, I know. 🤷‍♂️
