  1. The funny thing is, I don’t hate oversees games as much as I do the NFL in general right now. Those games are just one sign of the larger problem. I don’t hate wealthy people, even the SUPER wealthy, but now they are messing with the integrity of the game. That’s a fact, and it makes me care about the game a little less. I mean, if they don’t take it seriously, why should I? They stole a “home game” (it was anything but), and added another disadvantage on top of that. That tells me they don’t care.
  2. The owners got me this time. But it is a short sighted victory, because the inequity of the entire situation is a huge black mark against the league in my book. The actual game day experience was nice, but only if you can ignore how inherently unfair it was. I don’t want to just ignore that glaring issue of putting money over the game in such an obvious way. I came away with a London experience I enjoyed, and a far lesser opinion of the NFL. That is MY bottom line. I’ll carry this with me for a long time. .
  3. But what is bolded in black I am skeptical of.
  4. I think it would have been FAR more fair to have us play a home game in Jacksonville. THAT is how stupid this #@%^ was. Think about that.
  5. No, I blame Goodell. You’ll be hearing more of that from me, I’m sure. But next time you should break in the back door quietly, if need be.
  6. I attended. Our record is absolutely miserable when I am present. On a related note, I can be bought.
  7. We were playing some DT we had never heard of at DE yesterday because we were out of DE’s. Von played a ton early (more than hoped for or expected), but then I didn’t see him later. What was his snap count 1st half vs second half? What, EXACTLY, is the Rousseau situation? No, unless you are tanking (and that ain’t us), I keep the guys who are being productive. JMO
  8. Maybe they benefitted from the lack of jet lag and the home field advantage. That idiotic arrangement should have been laughed out of the room when it was first mentioned.
  9. I’m not kidding, they are losing me to some extent over this crap! I used to be an NFL fan, now I’m just a Bills fan. This should have been shut down as just plain stupid in the spitballing stage. They are trying to attract new fans, while sticking it to their core base. I had a buddy who never watched another NFL game after the strike season. I didn’t understand that at the time, but now I do. Sometimes it’s just the last straw, and people move on. I’m like that with the NBA. I loved it back in the Braves days, enjoyed it some thru the Jordan years. Now I wouldn’t go if you gave me free tickets, and for the last 5-10 years I don’t even watch the Finals. We spent big $$$ taking kids to games, and they would turn to me on a Tuesday in Charlotte and say “they’re not even trying!” Yep! The last straw. I have come to enjoy college sports more and more, both football and basketball. I have options. The NFL takes its popularity for granted. If I have to sign up for yet another streaming service like Peacock to see a game, I will voluntarily miss a BIlls game for the first time I can remember. I have $4.99, but it’s a matter of principle. Both sides can say “screw you!”
  10. I’ve been to games in both places now, and I learned the Jags have as many or more fans in London as they do in Jacksonville. After all these years, what do you expect? A Bills “home game” my arse!
  11. I’m not sure, but I’m going to give his wife her space.
  12. Watching it live it looked like it was there if the ball came out sooner with some zip.
  13. If I decide I don’t want to follow like I used to, it’s because I’m turning my back on them. If and when I get to that point, I’m not going to steal from them. It’s even worse. I will stop caring.
  14. The bold, at the very least. I don’t think it’s an “experiment” at all. I think they were just proving what was intuitively obvious to the most casual observer. It was sloppy, lazy or dare I say, calculated in a less than fair manner. .
  15. They experiment only at making money, and not losing money. Not what is best for the players or fans, regardless of the BS they spew.
  16. Where is the old FU emoji when you need it?
  17. So the Bills had a “home game” against a team that regularly plays in that market, and the team that actually has years of experience building a local fan base, gets a week to get acclimated to the time change and conditions. That doesn’t pass the smell test. I’m not just reacting to today’s game. That is pure BS that they want to “experiment” with giving any team, let alone an “away” team, any advantages. As much as I hate that, I hate even more buying any additional streaming services to line their pockets. I have never thought I could lose interest, but they are pushing the limits. I need some cooling off, but this has been building for a while. I don’t NEED the NFL at all.
  18. What did Terry pay for the Bills? Like $1.4 Billion? What are they worth now? He works for the owners, not us. Between this and all of the many premium streaming services they think they can make me pay for, I’m starting to lose interest. I never thought I’d say that.
  19. No, if you were watching, the “experiment” was to see if two weeks in London damaged the Bills chances. I believe it did, and I am quickly learning that booing Rodger isn’t such a terrible thing.
  20. I recommend one thousand comp picks for participating in your little “experiment’!!!
  21. I hope you have it recording, in case later you are curious about what actually happened! 😂
  22. For clarification, I see something called the No. 8 Tottenham which is just on the south side of the stadium.
  23. I am kind of happy for people who find that to remain, decades later, as such a heartache. That may just mean you’ve never faced serious heartaches to put things in perspective. Just my personal feeling, but I’ve been kicked a lot harder than that.
  24. Was it dislocated? A stinger? I’m not sure if I ever heard exactly what the injury was. I will say I was surprised to see him back out there because it did NOT look good.
